Nice on for sorting this all out!
Gutted that a penalty shootout cost me first but I deserve not to win after thinking Martinez would score loads
Same.
Argentina could play another seven games and I don't think it would happen.

Ridiculously good.

There we go, five teams without a win this tournament: Qatar, Wales, Canada, Denmark and Serbia.

By my count, there are only six unbeaten teams at the World Cup now.
And six teams that haven't won a game at this World Cup (yet).

Senegal were in the last World Cup, to Japan funnily enough.

Thought the same thing at half time - "Theyve earnt repect!" I think people respected us more before the tournament tbh.
Like I said before - Its a miracle we got to the WC and I wasnt hugely optimistic about getting out of the groups. But the way we performed was below everyones expectactions really.
Yep, saved our worst three performances of the last few years for the world stage.
There's certainly a disconnect in pundits and Page going on about how we're happy to be here - and the frustration of fans when League 2 players were called up for dressing room vibes and one solid 45 minutes was returned across the entire campaign.

Based on the current FIFA rankings, this is what a 48 team World Cup could look like (besides the IC play-offs)
UEFA: Belgium, France, England, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Portugal, Denmark, Germany, Croatia, Switzerland, Wales, Serbia, Sweden, Poland, Ukraine
CAF: Senegal, Morocco, Tunisia, Nigeria, Algeria, Egypt, Cameroon, Mali, Ivory Coast
AFC: Iran, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, UAE
CONCAF (in addition to USA, Mexico, Canada): Costa Rica, Panama, Jamaica
CONMEBOL: Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, Peru, Chile
OFC: New Zealand

Step 1: More teams at the World Cup
Step 2: ?????
Step 3: Profit!

I might be the first person to have a semi-final team out at the group stage.
Cheers Denmark!

Well that was our World Cup adventure over after one goal (from a penalty), seven shots on target and maybe one good half of football over three games.
Disappointed. Felt a bit like Ireland when they showed up to the 2012 Euros and got thumped.

Eeeesh Spain bring on a 19 year old, he gets one touch of the ball and Spain concede down his side in the space of a minute.
-
Might start skipping the first half for the rest of the group stage tbh

Brilliant run by Ndiaye of Sheff Utd to set that third goal up.
Not that you'd know it watching the BBC as Pearce and Dublin completely ignored it. The standard of commentary at this tournament has been woeful.
Outside of McCoist, the co-commentator choices have been very bad. Hartson, Dublin, Dixon, Murphy. Ugh. Listless and a lack of knowledge.
Keown referred to Argentina as "Argentinia" on a few occasions ffs

What the absolute fuck was that?
Dreadful.
Bale anonymous, Ramsey couldn't pick out a pass, James and Johnson never controlled the ball properly. Midfield didn't exist. Allen at fault for two goals in a short cameo.
Defence worked very hard, teammates should have risen to their level.

Jenas criticising Belgium as 'static' almost half a second before Michy is played in and scores.

Horrible half.
Page likes to drop Moore in the name of counter-attacking but every time we have no outlet and still ping long balls up the field without anyone to meet them.

To be fair, our entire Nations League campaign was messed about by the play-off being shifted. It's a big demand of any squad to play five matches in two weeks, let alone a squad where the reserves rarely feature for Football League sides.
Looking for positives, least our back-ups only lost to big sides by a single goal (even if they played their own B-team).
