  1. Uh, I know nothing about Philly and was aware that it was set there. I don't remember where in the game, but I saw it in plain sight at some point in the game. It was in one of the papers or news broadcasts or on a building, but it definitely said PHILADELPHIA plain as can be at some point in the game.

  2. There is nothing wrong with camping. Is the whole point of the game not to simulate war? To outsmart and kill your opponents? Fuck running around in the open for all to see and shoot at. If you can't check your corners and such for campers, that's your fault. Smarten up and learn the best camping areas and how to avoid getting killed by campers.

  3. Just wondering, I have the XBox360 Chatpad thing. Can I use that in the storyline editor for the text input rather than just typing it in? Or am I resigned to having to buy a keyboard?

As far as I know, you're able to use that for the Editor. I may be mistaken, but you are referring to that little keyboard that plugs into the controller between the "handles" right?

  4. The only one I've downloaded is TNA Invasion which was pretty meh despite good reviews. I would love to do one with some plans I had intended to use for a diary before, but I'm not too sure if some of the requirements of the storyline can be done in the Storyline Creator... nor do I have a keyboard I can use for it and I'll be damned if I'm doing all the dialogue with my damn controller.

  5. Indeed. It was definitely better watching it in the theatre and literally having your eyes racing all over a giant screen to look for any subtle things during the night scenes. watching it on tv wasn't quite the same... but it was fun because we watched it in a supposedly haunted house. quite entertaining. I will admit that the theatrical ending was better overall, because it was surprising and kind of the only thing "Hollywood" about the movie. However, the original ending was good for realism and just a general "jesus this girl is fucked up" kind of feeling.

  6. I thought the ending was both good and crappy. I think it could have been better if the body had just been thrown at the camera and that was it. The whole sniffing the body and growling at the camera thing was unnecessary plus the whole Unbreakable style ending with "The cops found Micah's Body" "Katie is missing" was lame. Oh and how did the cops know to come check it out?

How would the cops know to come check it? When both of them stopped showing up to work or school? When their families couldn't get in touch with them?

But if I remember the time stamp correctly, they came THAT day. I agree that over time someone would alert them but THAT day? I just can't get behind that whole ending past throwing his body into the camera.

Uhh, maybe you're getting your endings mixed up.

In the theatrical ending, I could've sworn it said that Micah's body was discovered by authorities 2 weeks later and Katie was nowhere to be found. Them finding him two weeks later is perfectly believable for reasons mentioned already - with family not being able to reach them and them not showing up for work and class.

In the original ending (Katie rocking back and forth for something like 24 hours or whatever it was), Katie's sister showed up and found Micah's body downstairs. She freaked, ran out of the house and immediately called police. I believe it was two hours later on the time stamp that the police arrived at the house to investigate.

So, either way, the timing of the police arriving makes perfect sense in both endings...

  7. I was looking forward to this series. Unfortunately, I'm an idiot and didn't realize tonight was the first episode, so I completely neglected to set my DVR to record it. It aired at 8pm, and I didn't get off work until 7:50pm... didn't quite make it home in time to see it :(

  8. So I just cleared it.

I really can't say enough good things about this game, the graphics, characterisation, atmosphere, dialouge and gameplay are all perfect. The last battle was a pain though, Lazarević was like a fucking tank. On my way to beating him, I hung off a ledge so he couldn't get to be and shot in the face 63 times without reply, wasting my entire supply of pistol ammo. I found the correct formula to beat him though, in the end, oh and 4 grenades at a time are a cunt. The way I finished him was funny too, he grabbed me and I hammered square as usual, but that did him in as it was his last shred of health.

So yeah, this game, just. Wow.

so how long exactly did it take you to realize that you never needed to fire a single shot at him? All ya had to do was shoot the resin growing on the trees as soon as he got next to it and BOOM. Took like, 5 or 6 times, maybe a few more, and he was done for.

Amazing game by the way. I month or two ago I had planned to play through the first one again but got side tracked. But I'm definitely going to have to go back and play through both games again. I was kind of disappointed with how easy the end of Among Thieves was compared to the final boss on Drake's Fortune, though.

I knew I had to do that, but I accedentially landed in a spot where I could unload shots on him, without harm, so I went for it. Every shot reduces the amount of resin blow up needed.

Ah, gotcha. I read what you original said as if you didn't realize til near the end that you had to shoot the resin haha. My bad.

  10. This is embarrassing, but the problem was I put in the special features disc and not the actual movie disc....

Fuck you guys, I had a 101.7 fever.

Glad you figured it out. I was actually going to suggest you make sure you were putting in Disc 1 rather than Disc 2, as I did that with a friend's copy of Death Proof and was baffled until I realized there were two discs...

  11. I found The Truman Show to be a fantastic movie. But like you say, people are entitled to their own opinions and own tastes. Just because you can't fathom why someone would put it in a top 10 doesn't make them stupid or wrong.

But with that said, I wouldn't put it in a top 10 either. Perhaps a top 25 though.

  12. Just to fill people in on the whole point of the Death Eaters getting in... in the book, they come into Hogwarts and cause mass destruction, rather than just messing up the Great Hall. They terrorize the entire building. While in the film, they essentially came in to do something Draco could've done himself, the whole point in the book was that the attack they unleashed on the building was much larger than anything Draco could do. Basically, it just a case of the film leaving out something rather important to the story.

  13. I'm definitely looking forward to this. It could be very, very bad. But it could also be very good. I may be in the minority, but I've loved the Texas Chainsaw "re-imagining" as well as the Halloween "re-imagining"... and dare I say, the Friday the 13th one wasn't too bad either.

Those were easy to pull off though, because they all wore masks. Now, to me, Robert Englund IS Freddy... so it's going to be quite awkward to see Freddy's face and NOT see Englund... but here's to hoping they pull it off well.

  14. "Poker Face" by Oh Mice & Men

    bwahahahahaha

    http://www.metalsucks.net/2009/07/15/i-got...-watching-this/

A fabulous interview with the guy from Attack Attack!...bwahahahaha, he's thick as pigshit...Jesus Christ, it's fabulous (How do you fit into the hardcore scene?....I don't know, so I'm going to talk about the colours of our logo...WHAT THE FUCK!?!?!)

"What's changed in the scene since you started"

    "....the colours"

OH MY GOD!!! THIS IS AMAZING!!!

    I want a "Crabcore" t-shirt. :shifty:

As much as I cannot fucking stand Attack! Attack!, the only bad part of that interview was the interviewer himself. He couldn't properly structure a question to save his life and was obviously unprepared as he stammered all over the place and threw in the word "like" about fifteen times in three sentences (exaggeration, I'm sure...). The responses to the questions by the vocalist himself were actually quite good. He made incredibly valid points. How do they fit into the hardcore scene? They don't. They stand out. Their marketing looks to be that of a 1980s pop group. It's bright. It's vibrant. It's loud. It attracts people's curiosity and gets them to listen. And as for what's changed in the scene since he started, he said the colors changed. And they have. Years ago, music like this was marketed with nothing but blood and violent images, dark colors, etc. The majority of the bands now in this genre DO use a lot of bright colors. And while I've stated that Attack! Attack! stands out, that is starting to NOT be the case anymore because a lot of bands are following suit. The bright colors and cheery imagery attracts a wider audience in hopes that it will garner more listeners. If ANY thought is actually put into that guys answers to those horrible questions, then people would actually realize how good his answers were.

  15. The plot so far seems to be pretty interesting. I think you're *PLOT SPOILERS BE HERE*

gradually trying to remember who you are and what in the world is going on. From what I've gathered, you used to work in one way or another for either the military or the genetics labs responsible for everything. I believe you died at some point, and then as they are going to operate, you wake up - clearly now infected.
Getting powers is kind of RPG-esque. As you kill enemies and such you gain EP (Evolution Points) that you use to purchase upgrades/powers/moves/abilities.

And trav, they aren't Wolverine claws... they're actually your hands... not blades that come out of them :)

  16. I love it. I bought InFamous on release day and pre-ordered this as well. Got it last night. Very great game. I must say though, I don't know why there are so many battles about InFamous vs. Prototype. They are two COMPLETELY different games.

  17. Gotta work my way back up in the ranks. Fucking boo. Gotta take out Tyson Griffin before I can get a rematch against Penn.

EDIT: Uh oh... first match I've ever had go to a decision...

EDIT: 27/30, 27/30, 27/30... I win by unanimous decision!!! FUCK YES!!!

EDIT: how the hell do I get a damn submission to work? I keep setting them up for every submission imaginable, but then they always get out :(. do i have to keep pressing R3 or do I have to keeping rotating the damn R stick?

  18. So, I'm the reigning Lightweight Champion now. Defeated Kenny Florian to claim the title when I got a second fight against him (he beat me the first time, obviously). First defense was against Sean Sherk, went in with a 12-2 record against his 42-5-1. I was scared as shit, but came out on top. Now I defend against BJ Penn and his 17-9-1 record.... go me.

EDIT: Annnnndddd he submits me half way through the first round. fuck.
