The Eastpak Antidote Tour on Saturday in Glasgow. Mainly going for Dark Tranquillity but I wouldn't mind sticking around to see Soilwork. Don't care for the other 2 bands.

Dark Tranquillity - Misery's Crown

Hearse - Avalon

It's been almost a year now, and I still can't stop listening to Mercenary's 'The Hours That Remain' album. It's tragic that these guys don't get much recognition outside of Scandinavia. They're definitely one of, if not, the best bands to come out of that place.

Losing My Religion - Graveworm [REM]
Incarnated Solvent Abuse - Arch Enemy [Carcass]
Aces High - Arch Enemy [iron Maiden]
Zombie - Mendeed [The Cranberries]
Turn The Page - Metallica [bob Seger]
I Want Out - Sonata Arctica [Helloween]
-
Edguy - Superheroes

If you can, try and get a hold of Taproot's "Blue Sky Research" album. Quite heavy at parts and lots of melodic bits, but mostly just straight up rock...well worth checking out.
If you're looking for something a bit heavier, anything by Black Label Society would be a start (their latest material seems to be a lot more bland/radio friendly...it's still decent, just nothing on their older stuff).

Far too many gigs that I'm not gonna be able to afford probably (bolding the gigs/bands I'm desperate to go to/see)...
The Misfits
The Eastpak Antidote Tour (Soilwork, Dark Tranquillity, Caliban, Sonic Syndicate)
Dream Theater/Symphony X
The Get Happy Tour (Bowling For Soup, Bloodhound Gang, Zebrahead and some other band I don't care about)
Kataklysm/Aborted (Same night as Capdown's last ever gig in Glasgow...oh well, Kataklysm win every time)
Sanctity (Not a big fan, but it's £7 a ticket)
Heaven & Hell/Lamb of God/Iced Earth
Alice Cooper/Motorhead (Same night as Meshuggah)
The Black Crusade (Machine Head, Trivium, Arch Enemy, Dragonforce, Shadows Fall)
I'm probably only gonna be able to afford about 3 of them...I'll definitely be going to see Dark Tranquillity, Kataklysm and Heaven and Hell unless they sell out before I can afford them. Would like to see Arch Enemy to hear some of the new stuff live (Missed them at Bloodstock due to leaving early). Everything else is just a matter of how much money I have at the time.

Anything by Andrew WK
Korpiklaani - Happy Little Boozer

Death By Stereo - Forever And A Day
Mercenary - Lost Reality
Black Label Society - The Last Goodbye
Armageddon - Well of Sadness
Zakk Wylde - Too Numb To Cry
Masterplan - After This War (cheesy but still pretty sad)
Mudvayne - World So Cold
Taproot - Birthday (Mostly just the chorus)

Don't like their music to be honest, but Benji is one of the coolest guys you could ever meet. I might give their next album a listen but I don't expect my opinion to change.
-
Just bought the new Man Must Die album today, brutality at its best! Can't wait to see them live again...this time it'll be with Kataklysm though Should be awesome!
-
Can't go wrong with Taproot's album Blue-Sky Research...dunno if it's epic exactly, but it's pretty awesome.

Top 3?

2. Lamb of God
3. Black Label Society

Tom Green's "Prepare For Impact" album could sort you for the rap and comedy. Any Whitesnake or Boston for the 80's Glam...or perhaps even Edguy (not 80's, but just as cheesy as any 80's band).

I seen this in Woolworths yesterday. Would have bought it if I wasn't skint as fuck. One of my mates will probably buy it soon enough...I'll just get a loan of it.

A shitload of my mates are heading to this. I'm saving money for Bloodstock but hope you all enjoy. Make sure you all catch Suicidal Tendencies...just cause
Good sleep music?

Opeth's "Damnation" album is a great album to fall asleep to.
