  1. OK, it takes about an hour to connect to the internet and the product key to be registered. I finally get there and start a new game, I save the new game and exit cos i've gotta use the printer for something. When I try and go back into the game I can only go back in via Steam and I'm stuck on entering the Product Code again!!!! FOR FUCKS SAKE!!!!

  2. OK, I registered with Steam and typed in the code. All went ok, and it downloaded the patch too. Now when i try to open the game, i have to register it with 'Soft Anchor', but i cant cos it says it cant connect to the internet! Fucking hell!!!

    Any ideas?

  3. Was at the Arsenal game last night. These kids Wenger has put together really are something special. Vela is just incredible, another great performance and classy goal last night. And I think Aaron Ramsey has even more potential than Fabregas had at 17! Its just a shame that with the exception of Vela, Ramsey and maybe Wilshere, as awesome as the majority of these youngsters are, I can't see them making a serious run in the first team.

  4. Shoot 'Em Up: 7/10

Had this on Sky+ for a while and finally got round to watching. Was exactly what i was expecting, just a load of cool shooty action sequences and amusing one-liners. Sure, there wasnt much of a plot, something about a senator killing babies for their bonemarrow and something about a gun law, but when the action is as over-the-top and fun as this, you dont really give a shit. Just a great 'switch your brain off and enjoy the ride' flick.

  5. Anyone else having trouble with picking up fuckloads of injuries?? Arsenal start off with 4 players injured anyway (Rosicky, Fabregas, Eduardo, Diaby), but after 6 pre-season games and a Euro qualifier that number has risen to 9!!! And they're all midfielders and forwards!!! PLUS I have Denilson and Song at the pissing Olympics till the end of the month!!! Grrrrrr!

  6. I'm gonna be watching loads of scary movies over the next week to celebrate Halloween. Here's what I've picked out from my collection:

    28 Days Later

    Corpse Bride

    Evil Dead Trilogy

    Ghostbusters 1 and 2

    Little Shop of Horrors

    Nightmare Before Christmas

    Roadkill

    Rocky Horror Picture Show

    Saw

    Shaun of the Dead

  7. Character spoiler

Michelle Rodriguez will reprise her role as Ana Lucia during Lost's fifth season, according to reports.

According to Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello, sources have confirmed that Rodriguez will return, most probably via flashback or hallucination in the next season's second episode. It is believed that the appearance will be a one-off.

Rodriguez departed Lost towards the end of the second season when Ana Lucia was shot dead. However, numerous characters have returned to the show posthumously, including Libby, Boon and Shannon, all of whom were killed on the island.

Awesome! I always thought she got rid of Ana-Lucia too soon, even if she did get into that drunk-driving thing. Will be good to see her pop up again :)

  8. I havent rented a movie in about a year, so i took advantage of the vouchers that Blockbuster sent me this week (7 rentals for £5) by using my first voucher to rent out:

I'm a big fan of horror films but rarely find many of them genuinely scary (off the top of my head, I can only think of The Shining and Ringu, and to a lesser extent, The Evil Dead, even though it was very tongue-in-cheek),. I'd heard a lot about this low-budget Spanish film and the trailers looked interesting. So I got into proper horror mode (curtains shut, lights out, volume up) and watched. One of the best horror films i have ever seen. I hated Blair Witch with its shakey handheld camera and 'OMG! WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT??' shit, but this was a million times better. It starts off slow and you can feel the tension building. The zombies do look pretty good for a low-budget film. And its not just scary cos of all the 'camera goes off and when it comes back on, a zombie jumps out' moments, you get a sense of terror from the cast that you dont usually get from horror films because of the documentary-style way it is filmed. Although its obvious that no one is getting out alive, that didn't stop me rooting for them to survive, which i found difficult to do in other 'hand-held' films like Blair Witch and Cloverfield.

Edit: Oh, add The Descent to that list of scary horror films above! Really need to get that on dvd soon. Awesome film!

  9. Started a new Arsenal game the other day, now just starting my 2nd season after winning the Premier League on the last day from Man Utd.

Something that made me chuckle just now, signed Micah Richards for £22.5m in pre-season, and now the board have boosted my transfer kitty by....£22.5m. So essentially i got Micah Richards on a free transfer!!! Nice!

  10. Who saw the womens weighlifting earlier? Had the 'Unintentional Comedy Moment Of The Olympics' moment so far. A Chinese woman had to lift her weights for a gold medal, but if she failed she got nothing. She failed and fell to the floor crying her eyes out, then walked off to the backstage area still crying. She turns the corner into the backstage area to see her trainer, but as she goes round the corner she accidentally SMACK's her head on the wall, making her scream and cry even louder!
