  1. You guys have done a great job of this. The depth is brilliant, and I really like the promotion run-down and the title histories. One of (if not the_ best scenario's ever put together.

One other question though. You have Sex and Steel (Sexton and Christian) as NWA World Tag Team Champions, having won the belts in late 2007, yet one is a face, and the other a heel in Stampede. Was this done intentionally, or just an oversight??

  2. Over The Edge Predictions:

Tables Match: Public Enemy vs. Full Throttle- It would be silly to have them lose their match in their first PPV outing for the compnay, especially if they are going to be a threat to the champs. Also, Full Throttle have not been pushed as much recently.

WWF LightHeavyweight Championship: Taka Michinoku© vs. Scott Taylor- Taka retains after Jay Reso destroys both men. (so the match may even be a no contest)

Ken Shamrock vs. Norton (w/ Savio)- I Believe Norton will get the win to boost his legitimate athlete status, and to further the angle between Savio and Shamrock.

Casket Match: Kane vs. Kurrgan- Kurrgan already has a victory over Kane. This should be the Feud ending match, allowing Kane to return to the Main Event picture.

WWF Tag Team Championship: Legion of Doom© vs. The Quebecers vs. The New Age Outlaws - LOD should never have been given the belts in the first place. While I have been a big supporter of the Quebecers, I think the Outlaws will win regain belts as they have the greater potential for the future.

Dustin Rhodes vs. Crush- While Dustin should get the win (he has been involved in the higher profile matches recently), I think Crush gets a win when DX get involved somehow.

WWF Intercontinental Championship: Marc Mero© vs. Rocky Maivia- While I want Rocky to win, and feel that another IC title reign would be good for his preparation to move up the card, I think that Mero has risen above expectations as champ, and he'll find some way to retain the title.

WWF Championship: Jeff Jarrett© vs. Ric Flair vs. Hunter Hearst Helmsley- This could go any way. Jarrett is proving a solid champ, Triple H is rising up to the challenge and Flair is Flair. With Shawn Michaels likely returning soon, I think Trips can forget about the belt, and I don't think having Flair beat Jarrett for the belt is wise either. Howevere, It wouldn't surprise me if Michaels returns at this event. Either way, I'll pick Jarrett in a close one.

  3. I've really enjoyed this diary so far, especially the way you are developing some of the feuds and characters. I especially like the development of Buff Bagwell, and even though he can be a pain backstage, with some more work he could become a great contender.

I also like Maven's development, and hope that his attitude takes him into title contention in the future.

I hope that you look to bring in some more "fresh talent", and maybe develop some "newer" tag teams. Kronik and Rikishi are getting a little past it. Bring in some new "lesser" talent (eg": wwe or TNA midcarders), and create some fresh combinations.

    BTW: Jericho over Maven

    Lesnar over Buff

There can be no other alternative (unless you have Jericho cost Lesnar his match)

    Rikishi over Adams and Murdoch

The Island Boys seem to be the team you want to build the most at the moment.

Yang and Rios to beat Colon and Kidd

Billy and Eddie will come into conflict, costing one of them the match, and building towards a future match (but don't rush the build-up)

    Saturn to demolish Moore

Saturn =too big and strong for Moore.

  4. Loved RAW. Hot action all the way through. I'm really impressed with how your promo's are written. You have Flair and The Rock down very well. The Flair promo was GOLD. I could really imagine him going for it in a mic.

I really loved the main event. I thought it was well-booked, as both men come out looking strong for a title match, and I look forward to the HEAT main event.

I disagree with Baby Hewey... I thought the Norton debut was great. He had a great TOUGH GUY reputation, ruined by the "powers" in WCW. He was the man in JApan, and good booking could see him become a main-eventer.

The best damn diary going today!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. I didn’t like the way Goldberg was introduced in your second show. While he was involved in an incident with O’Haire at Clash of Champions, he had been in the audience (front row). You should have had some form of announcement welcoming Goldberg formally to the company, or an introduction. But just having him standing in the ring about to speak, and then get attacked seemed a waste. It was like Goldberg was always working, and depletes the role he played in the first show.

Other than that you developed your main storyline okay, but I think the backstage confrontation should have been a duelling mic segment in the ring, with Jarrett I the ring and Jericho at the entryway.

  6. You've really intrigued me with the backstory, and the first event had a real NWA Old School feel tied in with modern wrestling. I like the concept of tension between Flair and Jarrett.

HOWEVER.... there are some signings that don't make sense from a Ric Flair point of view. In his book Flair makes it obvious he doesn't like Scott Steiner. I don't think Flair would ever work with him, or for that matter with Scott Hall and co. I also believe that Flair would be doing everything he could to get his good friend STING to sign with him, as he implied in his book if he had bought WCW.

That aside, I believe that you have the makings of a good diary. I loved Jericho's arrival th the end, and thooght the "Goldberg in the front row thing" to be very good. It implies he's signed (and he is mates with Flair after all), but doesn't put him in the mix straight away.

Look forward to seeing where this goes.

  7. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

You took the belts off The Quebecers and placed them on LOD. Unless you plan to eturn them to the Outlaws, I personally think this was a mistake.

HOWEVER I loved the new gimmick for Steven Richards. It's original, but it's something that the WWF had been known for doing. You have really developed the Mero character, while the DX "tension" coiuld bavckfire on HHH eventually.

  8. Great Heat. Loved the build-up for Raw. I like how you have not tried to turnm Heat into another RAw, but have created some special elements for it. Like Farooq getting the belt. It keeps him in a prominant position, whioch he needs to be in, but gets him out of the IC scene, which looks to be a Mero-Rocky feud for a bit longer. PLus, the Nation should provide some assistance in the Weekly defenses. Farooq could hold the title for a while.

I liked the debut of Pubilc Enemy. I agree with Baby Hewey that tables could have been used, but their arrival was surprising, and their attack on both teams shows them to be a rogue duo.

I tto like Savio in this role. You needed to make new stars with the loss of so much upper talent. Savio was a person who had proven himself at Mid-Card level in the past, and so has credibility. I especially liked the way he flaunted his power against Shamrock. I would like to see more of this (perhaps he can use it against his previous enemies like DOA and Nation as well).

I also found it fun that Stephanie got caught with Drugs. Would love to see the crowd give a hard time to Vince during an interview, and have Vince give some response. MAybe even having someone debut with a character that challenges the way Vince has brought up his family could be a unique thing to do.

    Looking forward to Raw.

  9. RAW seemed a little stale this week. No Austin, No Shamrock, No Taka, No Scaggs, No Associates (they could have been good working in with the Savio announcement). I felt that there was almost a holding pattern on several stories, and nothing new (except Savio's role) started. I was very disappointed that Flair was not given a win in his first match in WWF. I did like the Outlaws reaction to HHH's announcement (since when does Triple H book matches???), and look forward to HHH hiding behind them some more. Hopefully Jay Reso won't be gone long. Perhaps a shock win in a battle royal to get a shot at the Light Heavyweight title could be a good return.

  10. Well, I may not be able to predict the finishes, but I loved the event. Great Unforgiven. The main event was fantastic, and it was good to see that you kept Flair out of the action and allowed Jarrett to look strong in victory. I alos liked the finish to the IC match. It really fits Mero's new character of "outsmarting" people and by having him utilise on Rocky's finisher makes Rocky's finisher look lethal (Farroq was down for a long time if Meron stopped the elbow and then covered) and Mero look smart.

Austin's match was good. It fit their characters, and I think Savio Vega's interferance fits the history of their characters (remember that Vega and Austin had a big feud when Austin first came to the WWF). Quebecers winning is good, but I felt that Kurrgan's "win" oer KAne was a waste. Kane really needs to be put back to the top of the card, and this meaningless feud with Kurrgan is only hurting him.

As for the Light Heavyweight match....Great booking. It was great to see something unique with the belt falling to the mat and then the two men going for it. Awesome match that was presented well. I'd be interested to see if the fans turn Suicidal Kid (without mask) face after his efforts in the match. Could be a good way to move him into another area of action (say the Prime Time Belt?).

  11. Well, everyone else is offering their opinions, so I'll offer mine (as I haven't done it yet)

    Unforgiven Predictions:

Jeff Jarrett to retain the World Title after Ric Flair screws over HHH. (need to move beyond this storyline, and as Michaels will return soon, Jarrett should keep the belt)

The Rock to win the IC title in the four way match. While I agree that Mero's character has been well developed, The Rock needs a titlle win to prepare him for the push to the main event.

Stone Cold Steve Austin to beat Vince. This is Vince's first match. I think it would be wrong to job Austin here, but I wouldn't be surprised if the match ends in DQ when someone comes to help Vince (maybe a former WCW member???)

The Suicidal Kidd to capture the Light Heavyweight Title from Taka Michinoku. Whgile I agree that Taka makes a great champ, if the Kidd drops this match, he will have to be pushed backwards, and that would not be good for his career. An upset, possibly with some cheating, will allow this story to continue. (This could however go either way)

Kane will cruch Kurrgan, especially with Cornette now out of action.

The Quebecers to retain the titles after cheating. They've only just won them, and I agree that the Outlaws don't need the titles at the moment, especially while they seem to be in this tweener mode (are they Faces or members of the hated DX)

Associate Barry to win the Prime-Time championship from Charlie Scaggs, after interferance from the associates. Scaggs has had a nice little run, but I feel that the weekly defenses should take their toll, especially as he's beaten Robert and Bartholomew. They can exact revenge, leading to a nice rematch on Prime Time (where Scaggs could regain the belt).

  12. Great debut by Flair. Loved it....it was very Flair like. I especially like the "shoot" element to it, referring to the Horsemen and other WCW events is very relevant to the 1998 time-period. (obviously the interview was modelled on X-Pac's tirade). Glad to see him in the main-event mix straight away. I hope that you keep it interesting. Maybe Flair can do a "stone-cold" and screw both men over. But in reality, if Flair side with HHH, he would be turning his back on his own principals.

Was a little interested in the presentation of Vince. I would think that the type of promo he gave on Raw would have been very popular with WWF fans. They would have popped huge for Vince when he challenged Eric. If you plan on making this a regular thing, be aware of how the fans might react to Vince.

  13. Glad to see that you're using Heat to push the mid-carders and not the main-eventers. Really loved seeing The Outlaws win clean over LOD (without resorting to chairs etc), which only solidifies their move towards "face-ness".

Still love the Primne-Time title, and the every-week defense. Would like to see some faces challenge Scaggs (what about Rhodes???), just to keep the unique nature of the title. Maybe write in a clause that says that no one can have another shot at that belt until after 2-3 months, so that the whole roster can have a chance. Maybe even give a couple of Tag Wrestlers (ie: Hawk, Animal, Jaques, Pierre, etc) a shot, or the Light Heavyweights.

    Can't wait till RAW.

  14. Another great show. I loved the build-up in the various storylines. I was surprised that the Quebecers won the titles on RAW, but I can't complain because I love them. Thanks for that.

I still think that The Outlaws may need to seperate from the rest of DX. Perhaps they could have a moral battle with HHH about some issue.

And I love the IC battle build-up. All power to the Rock, but more importantly....It may be time to push D-Lo Brown. Perhaps he could prevent Shamrock from winning another match, and the two could enter a feud.

  15. Another Great Show.

    One quick thing though....

Are you planning on having the Outlaws join DX, because their "Suck It" and Crothch Chops were part of their DX routine. They didn't do that prior to joining DX (but the Tag Champs of the WoRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRld routine still existed). It's only a small error, unless they're joining DX.

Other than that, I loved the development of Marc Mero's character. He comes off looking like the intelligent heel, playing everyone else off each other so they leave him alone. Well Done.

  16. While I personally didn't like the fact that the storyline was dropped, it certainly fits into the way WWE seems to be doing business at the moment, where storylines come and go on a whim. Hopefully you will take John Cena's advice and stay at WWE, and Vince will find a new storyline role for you (or pick up the old one). Personally, I would love top see it come out that you are related to a member of the WWE roster, and that either you start to favour him, or are harder on him because he's your brother and so this leads to that wrestler fighting the odds against the referee and possibly get over with the crowd (who want to see him get past his brothers bias). Vince could also egt involved in his heel persona, and target this relative and have you referee every match just to see him fail, but it gets him over.

  17. Another good Raw. I thought that the main event made Jarrett look strong, which helps build his credibility as the champ. I hope that you continue to work the Jarrett/HHH story. Now that they're the main event players, their story can continue a bit longer. One thing though... I would look at slowly fading out the guitar for JArrett. It's part of his heel gimmick, and I worry that he'll use it occasionally as a face and therefore come off as weak. I'd run a storyline where the guitar gets banned by Vince, but in occasional matches where it is necesaary (NO DQ, major matches where an opponent is using various foreign objects) Jarrett could pull it out from under the ring (ala HHH around late 1999/early 2000). He needs to win clean consistently to keep building him strongly.

Also, what happened to the Rock's relationship with the DOA. After Wrestlemania it appears to have stopped. If so, I thhink you need the Rock to make it clear he doesn't need anyone to help him. If not, let's see them deal with the NOD again after Farooq's attack.

And on Farooq, I look forward to his match with Mero. Heel vs Heel matches are rare, and this one could be very intriguing. How will Mero keep the belt with the likely NOD interferance that will come.

Can't wait to see the Outlaws turn, and I love the new faces in the Light-Heavy division.

  18. Loved the new "Prime-Time" Heat. I especially liked the way you still allowed the "up-and-comers" to be used, and didn't saturate it with the established stars. It seemed to add a new dimension, and give the newer guys greater credibility.

I also loved the new Prime-Time title. I think it's a great idea. The only issue I had was that if McMahon hates Scaggs (along with Runnels and Austin), why would he place him in a title match. It could have been cooler had someone else been involved at the start, and then Scaggs attack them, forcing them to demand a match with the title on the line.

The only other issue I had was the number of Flair referances. The crowd chant is believable, and HHH's response to it was great, but after that it became obvious you have signed him up, and I think it ruins the surprise element.

Otherwise, you are still going strong, and I can't wait for RAW.

  19. Another great show. Jarrett and HHH should be great, now that Kane is in another storyline. Also the Rock going back for the IC belt should be interesting.

Loved the McmAhon/Austin story. I look forward to a different approach to the real life story.

It's a shame that due to restraints of the number of segments you can have that Ken Shamrock, The Quebecers and more importantly The Outlaws couldn't appear on the show. Hopefully we'll see them next week, and their story's will not be forgotten.

  20. AWESOME WRESTLEMANIA

Loved the card. I didn't appreciate all the booking (Mero over Shamrock), but on the whole a great card.

I loved the build-up to new storylines. Having Kurrgan attack Kane was a greta way to prevent Kane from winning but not look weak. I also loved the preparation to turn the Outlaws face (and feud with the Quebecers!!!) I also appreciated the "celebrity guests"..well placed and well done.

Finally GO, JARRETT, GO. Can't waith to see what's in store for our new champ.

  21. Really enjoyed RAW. I liked the progression of the associates/McMahon/others storyline. The image of security chasing after Austin down the isle was hilarious. I look forward to how you use him. He may be low on stats, but he does have star power.

I also liked the main event, although Kane destroying everyone seems to indicate he won't be taking the title at WM. It would have been nice to have heard from Jarrett and HHH in interviews being only 1 week away from the Big One.

Overall, you are doing a good job, and I can't wait for Wrestlemania to hit.

  22. Awesome RAW. Really ggod stuff there. Loved the return of Austin, although rememer that he was out because of his neck, so don't push him too hard too quick. Give him a chance to recover first.

I must admit, I am slowly buying The Rock's links to DOA. Really looking forward to a good cage match, provided Farooq doesn't go and "no-sell" on you in the match.

You really did some good development of all storylines (except main-event... but that is well and truly set.)

    My Picks for Wrestlemania:

Jarrett to pin HHH for the title (keep Kane strong, but not sure he's the right choice for champ)

Rocky to beat Farooq, and set himself to begin a run for the top (feud with HHH????)

Rhodes, Scaggs and Austin over the associates (Stone Cold back, nothing else needs to be said)

Shamrock over Mero. (He only recently got the belt, and Mero is not over enough to become champ)

Outlaws over Full Throttle (I've already said my piece about Full Throttle in an earlier post)

Christopher over Taka (Brian cheats so you can set up the final match...Ladder???)

Ahmed over Kurrgan (they both suck, but Kurrgan sucks more)

Quebecers over LOD (LOD need to step aside)

  23. I like the way that you are not rushing "your" storyline.

You could have the other ref's begin to question your relationship with these women. You could also be "reassigned" to another match instead of a wonen's match. but the ref in the match goes down and you come out as the replacement ref, making a questionable call (eg DQ or fast count)

Also I love the storyline with Ric Flair. Not having him wrestle as much seems to add to the realism of his angle. I'm not sure his reign can last much longer, or he will look a little out of place. But you could make a lot of it (do a celebration etc), and then assign someone who Flair wants to face...a worthy contender who could capture the title, and Flair would not want revenge.
