    Raw Preview

    March 20, 2006

Just last night Wrestlemania made a huge impact in the WWE. Shane McMahon returned to TV, and Chris Jericho is back in the WWE. Also, Edge retained, and Chris Masters won the MITB Ladder Match.

What will Edge do? Will his celebration be even bigger than his last one? Or will RVD ruin it again? Edge is set to defend is title on Raw, but he, and the fans do not know who it will be. It may even be RVD! What about Shawn Michaels. Michaels may have won the match last night, but not the war. Shane McMahon attacked Shawn Michaels after his match. So, what will HBK have to say?

Also, Chris Jericho makes his in ring Raw return. Will Shelton be involved in the match? Then, there's the new Mr. Money in the Bank, Chris Masters. What if he activated his contract this week on Raw?

Only way to find out is to watch Monday Night Raw!

    WWE talking with NBC?

There are many rumors that WWE has contacted NBC about a future contract with them. NBC hasn't released any news on this, and they haven't come to their desicion. Some say it's not that big of a deal, and they just might use them for advertising, however, some say it's about a future WWE program. Maybe the return of SNME?

Hardy couldn't get the three count, so he continued to work on Punk, hitting first a lariat, then getting him in a headlock. Punk escaped however, and hit Hardy with a backdrop. Still Champion

Edge def. Rob Van Dam to retain WWE Title

At the start of the match, the crowd was going nuts for RVD, and RVD used that to hype him up. He used everything he had to take Edge down. Mostly using his legs, RVD brought Edge down to the mat, and RVD hit a split legged moonsault, but he couldn't get a three count. Edge eventually was able to fight back, and got some offense in. He set RVD up for an Electric Chair, but RVD reversed it into a sunset flip for a two count. The two men went back and forth for most of the match, each hitting each other with all sorts of moves. Edge even went for the Spear, but Rob Van Dam quickly dodged it, and Edge went shoulder first into the steel post. He hit Edge with it, but Edge kicked out! RVD then got up, and pulled Edge up by the hair, and Edge hit RVD with a low blow! The ref didn't see it. He only saw RVD bending over in pain, staggering. Edge got up, and hit RVD with a Spear. He went for the pin, and only got a two count! Edge, lifted RVD back up, and charged him, hitting him with another Spear. This time, he got the three count, and Edge retained his WWE Title, as the crowd booed him very loudly.

    New World Heavyweight Champion

Triple H def. Kurt Angle to become World Heavyweight Champion

This whole match was bloody, brutal, and back-and-forth. Neither man really had the upper hand, until the end. Triple H stopped at nothing to win this. He kicked out of two Angle Slams, and broke free from an Ankle Lock. But, Angle wouldn't quit either. He kicked out of a Pedigree, and kicked out when Triple H hit him with the World Heavyweight Title while the ref was down from Angle accidently tackling him. Triple H got busted open when Angle rammed his head into the steel post on the outside, and that gave Angle a small advantage, as he took him into the ring and locked in the Ankle Lock. Triple H was able to reach the bottom rope, and he escaped. Triple H got back up, limping on the injured leg, and knocked Angle down with a high knee, followed by a Pedigree. Triple H went for the pin, and got the three count to become a six time World Heavyweight Champion!

    Video Segment

Raw opened with a video showing highlights from last week's Raw, including RVD's win, and Edge's Title win.

    Chris Masters def. John Cena

John Cena was able to take control of Masters quickly, but Masters began to out power Cena. Masters went to lock in the Master Lock, but Cena escaped and got Masters in an FU position. However, Carlito's music played before Cena could hit Master with the FU. Cena dropped him, and looked up the aisle as Carlito made his way towards the ring. Carlito stopped halfway, however, and Master rolled Cena up and got the three count! Carlito then hit the ring, and both Masters and Carlito stomped away at Cena. Then, pyro blasted on the stage, along with Kane's music, and he made his way to the ring, as Masters and Carlito quickly left.

    A Celebration Ruined

Raw returned from commercials, and Edge made his way to the ring with Lita and they began their celebration. Edge said that his win was so easy last week, and that Cena's nothing but a joke. He went on to say that RVD is even more of a joke, and he shouldn't be anywhere near the WWE Title. The crowd didn't like that, and neither did RVD, as he made his way down to the ring, and began to attack Edge. They brawled, until RVD hit him with a spinning heel kick. RVD went to the top rope, ready to hit the Five Star Frog splash, but Lita pulled Edge out of the ring, and they quickly left.

    MITB2

Backstage, Vince McMahon announced that we will see Money in the Bank Ladder Match number 2. The participants will be; John Cena, Carlito, Chris Masters, and Kane.

    Big Show def. Tyson Tomko

A pretty quick match, with Tomko having control, until Big Show was able to hit him with a Chokeslam for the win.

    After Wrestlemania...

Backstage, Big Show walked into Kane's locker room, and said that after Wrestlemania, and after Kane wins the Money in the Bank, they will defend their titles and become the number one Tag Team. Kane smiled and they shook hands.

    Shawn Michaels def. Johnny Parisi

A very quick match, ending with a Sweet Chin Music, awarding Shawn Michaels the win. However, after the match, Vince McMahon made his way into the ring, and hit Michaels with a Steel Chair. He stood over Michaels with a mic, and said that Michaels should've retired on his own, because he is going to make him retire at Wrestlemania.

Shelton Benjamin and his Mama are Ready

Backstage Shelton Benjamin and his Mama tell everyone that Shelton would be winning tonight, and he would be back on top once again. Mama then praises Shelton some more, saying that Shelton never backs down from a challenge.

    Shelton Benjamin def. Ric Flair

    to become new IC Champion

A great match. Lots of great moves by both men, and lots of close calls. Shelton eventually took control after he escaped the Figure Four Leg Lock, and first hit Ric with a Stinger Splash, then a T-Bone for the win. Shelton and Mama celebrated, then Mama got on the mic and told everyone that she told them so. And that Shelton will put his belt on the line at Wrestlemania in an open challenge to anyone.

Also, RVD will be celebrating his win of the Road to Wrestlemania Tournament. RVD will meet Edge at Wrestlemania for the Title, but will these two confront each other on Raw?

Then, there is Shelton Benjamin. He will be going for the IC title this week, as he goes up against the current champion, Ric Flair. Shelton earned this shot by winning the fatal four way last week, but can he win tonight, and then join RVD and Edge in celebrating?

    Triple H...Scared?

This edition of Friday Night Smackdown! started off with Triple H on the mic. Triple H was telling the crowd how he is the the best in the world today. And nothing is going to stop him from winning back what is 'his' at Wrestlemania. He says he doesn't care if it's Randy Orton or Kurt Angle, but whoever it is, they will lose. Kurt Angle and Randy Orton have both lost to Triple H, he mentions, and he says one of them will do it again at Wrestlemania. Kurt Angle's music then begins to play and he makes his way onto the stage with a mic of his own. Both men trade insults with each other, when Kurt Angle finally stopped and said that he will be champion at Wrestlemania, and he won't lose. And, he also says he won't be waiting until Wrestlemania. Kurt Angle then charged the ring, and Triple H quickly exited, running back up the aisle.

Matt Hardy def. JBL via DQ

Hardy and JBL have had heated rivalries in the past, and they wouldn’t take it softly on each other. The whole match was a brawl going back and forth. Then, Hardy was able to take control, out-wrestling JBL, and taking him down with the Twist of Fate. Instead of going for the pin, Hardy went to the top rope, looking for a Leg Drop, but someone jumped over the crowd barrier, and knocked Hardy off the top rope. No one knew who this man was, as he was earing a black ski mask. He entered the ring, and began to stomp away at Matt Hardy. Security ran down the aisle, and enter the ring. They surrounded the man, but he exited the ring, and ran back up the aisle. They chased after him, but once he was at the top of the stage, he removed his mask to reveal who he was. Some didn't know exactly who he was, but Hardy looked at the top of the stage, and he knew exactly who he was. Michael Cole and Taz let everyone know at home that he was Matt Hardy's former friend; CM Punk!

    Orton's Destiny?

Backstage Josh Mathews held an interview with Randy Orton. Orton said that tonight was his night. That it was his destiny to become a two time World Heavyweight Champion. Randy let Kurt know that he would stop at nothing to hurt him and become the Champion.

    Lashley def. Joey Mercury

Lashley proved once again to be up-stoppable. He was able to take control of Mercury the whole match. Melina and Nitro both tried to interfere and help Joey out, but it didn't work, and Lashley eventually hit Mercury with the Dominator for the win.

    Injury to...Injury

After Mercury's brutal beating from Lashley, Brian Kendrick and Paul London came running down the aisle with a ladder! They attack both MNM members with it, and send them to the outside. With MNM staggering on the outside, Brian and Paul get onto the two top ropes, and go flying through the air nailing MNM, sending them back to the ground. They quickly got up, not finished, and re-entered the ring. London set the ladder up, as Kendrick got another one and set it up in the ring. They climbed to the top, about to jump, when Theodore Long's music hit, and he made his was onto the stage. Long announced that at Wrestlemania, MNM would put the belts up for grabs...literally. They will be defending against Brian Kendrick and Paul London in a ladder match!

Has The Boogeyman Met his Match?

The Undertaker made his way to the ring, ready for his match with Orlando Jordon, when The Boogeyman's music played, and red lights and smoke filled the ring area. The Boogeyman then appeared out from under the ring. He snuck into the ring, and attacked The Undertaker, and hit him with the Pump Handle Slam. Boogeyman began to celebrate, and stared at The Undertaker on the mat, when Undertaker rose up. Boogeyman's eyes widened, and he quickly left the ring.

    Gregory Helms def. Jamie Noble

    to retain the Cruiserweight Title

An amazing match between these two. Both were giving it their all, but Jamie Noble began to gain the upper hand. It looked as if Jamie was going to be the first to stop Helms, and become the new Cruiserweight champion. Then, all of a sudden Gregory Helms hit Noble with a Shining Wizard. He didn't go for the cover, instead he lifted Noble to his feet, and got him into a school boy, and he grabbed the ropes. 1..2...3. Gregory Helms remains Champion.

    Kurt Angle def. Randy Orton

to retain the World Heavyweight Title

Another amazing match. Randy Orton did not want to give up, and kicked out of two Angle Slams during this match. He was giving it his all, hitting Angle with everything he had. Even the RKO. But that wasn't enough. They continued to battle, when Orton ducked a clothesline, and Angle hit the ref instead. Angle quickly turned around, however, and hit another Angle Slam on Orton. He went for the pin, but the ref was still out. Then, Triple H hit the ring with a sledge hammer in hand. He waited for Angle to turn, and went to hit him, but he ducked and Triple H hit Randy! Triple H wasn't happy, and Angle hit him with an Angle Slam, and Triple crawled to the outside. Angle them locked in the Ankle Lock on Orton. The ref slowly got up, in time to see Randy tap. Kurt began celebrating when Triple H re-entered the ring. Him and Angle starred each other down, when Orton turned Angle around and hit him with an RKO! Then, Chris Benoit made his way down to the ring! He began the attack Orton, and they went to the outside punching away at each other. Back in the ring, Angle got up and starred Triple H down as the show went off the air.

    WWE Raw

    March 6, 2006

    Beginning with a Brawl

The show kicks off with music, but no pyro. Instead, the show starts with Edge and John Cena in the middle of a brawl backstage! They're fighting their way through the back area. However, many trainers and referees come in and split the two up. But Cena breaks loose and attacks Edge again. They finally get a hold of both men, holding them apart, as the show cuts to the arena.

    Kane def. Snitsky

Kane and Snitsky have a very interesting past. And both men hate each other. You could tell this during the match. Both men where brawling back and forth, hitting their best moves. Snitsky started to ground Kane, then went for a Big Boot, but Kane ducked and caught him in the Chokeslam. He nailed it, and pinned Snitsky for the win. But it wasn't over. Snitsky's tag partner, Tyson Tomko ran down the aisle and attacked Kane. When Snitsky got up he joined in on the attacking. They sent Kane off the ropes, and hit him with a Double Big Boot.

    Coolest Champion, Ever.

Backstage, Maria tries to interview Carlito, but he just pushed her away, and begins to talk by himself. Carlito goes on to say that tonight is his first big step towards the WWE Title. He says that tonight he will beat RVD, and go on to Wrestlemania, and beat whoever the champion is. Carlito says if and when he wins the WWE Title, he will be the coolest Champion, ever. He takes a bite out of his apple, and walks off, without spitting it out.

    Chris Masters def. Eugene

Eugene has been out of action for quite awhile, and he is a bit rusty in the ring. In this match, it clearly showed. Chris Masters dominated pretty much the whole match. Eugene was able to get in an airplane spin and a few punches, but Masters just reversed his Rock Bottom attempt and locked in the Master Lock, and Eugene got knocked out. Chris Masters seemed happy with his victory and leaves the arena with the look of 'not even breaking a sweat' on his face.

Shelton Benjamin def. Val Venis, Rob Conway, and Chavo Guerrero

But, as you saw at No Way Out, he didn't show up. Don't worry. This was indeed a work. WWE's current plan is to keep CM Punk a mystery for a while (To non-internet fans of course). Rumors are that he will rather; finally show up to partner up with Hardy, or that he won't, until Hardy calls him and demands to know what's been happening. This might then lead to a feud between the two.

  16. A good diary, but I'm not a fan of the Undertaker/Boogeyman thing. I think the Undertaker would get cheered more than Boogeyman (unless Bman's turned heel then that's not a problem), and Boogeyman is more of a non-main eventing comedy character. It would make one or the other look a joke, in a bad way I think.

    Not waiting 'till Wrestlemania?

The show kicks off with opening music and pyro, then Triple H's music fills the arena. Triple H entered the ring, mic in hand. He went on to say how great he was. And how he beat Rey Mysterio at No Way Out, 'fair and square'. Triple H went on to say Rey and his Royal Rumble win are jokes. He says how he's going to move on bigger things, literally. And that bigger thing, was the World Heavyweight Title. Kurt Angle is almost as bad as Rey Mysterio, says Triple H. He goes on to say that Angle has never and will never be in his league. Then, Kurt Angle's music hits, the crowd roars, and he walks down the isle, and into the ring. Kurt Angle mentions how Triple H hasn't held a title in almost a year. He then laid down a challenge for MNM at Wrestlemania. Kendrick then took the mic to say that they would take care of MNM at Wrestlemania, but tonight they need to focus on their match with Gymini. Brian Kendrick said that they aren't afraid of MNM or Gymini.

    Gymini def. Brian Kendrick/Paul London

Surprisingly London and Kendrick speed was taking control of the match rather than Gymini's strength. London was using his fast-paste moves around the ring. He hit the Dropsault, then tagged out to Kendrick, who also used his speed to take down Gymini. Gymini fought back a few times, but London and Kendrick hit some double team moves, and they were back on top. Then, London went for the 450 Splash, but he noticed MNM making their way down the aisle. London was distracted, and Gymini took advantage of that, by tossing London off the top rope. When Paul London got up, he walked right into a Spinebuster. One of the Gymini went for the pin as the other knocked Kendrick off the apron. Gymini left the ring pleased with their win, as MNM left pleased with what they had done too.

    Heated Confrontation

Chris Benoit is seen backstage with his United States title on his shoulder. Benoit stops, and Randy Orton walks up to Benoit. Randy 'congratulates' Benoit on his win at No Way Out. Benoit laughs, and grins as he walks off, ready for his match with Booker T.

    Chris Benoit def. Booker T

    to retain United States Title

These two have had many matches throughout their careers, and this one was just has good as their others. The action was fast paced, with loads of near falls. Booker T was able to take control and used some suplexs and a axel kick. Booker T wait for Benoit to get to his feet, then he hit him with a Book End! However, it wasn't enough, and Chris Benoit kicked out. Booker got up, and went for an axel kick, but Benoit ducked. Booker T quickly turned around and went for a clothesline, but Benoit caught his arm and reversed it right into the Crippler Crossface! Booker went reaching for the ropes, but Benoit dragged him back to the middle of the ring. Booker had no choice but to tap.

    Words for The Boogeyman

A video is played of The Undertaker backstage in a dark corner of a room. The Undertaker begins to talk about The Boogeyman. The Undertaker mentions how The Boogeyman costed him the World Heavyweight Title at No Way Out. The Undertaker says that The Boogeyman will pay for what he did, and that he has been warned.

    Kurt Angle/Rey Mysterio def. The Undertaker/Triple H

Before the start of the match, it seemed that Angle and Mysterio were on the same page, but Undertaker and Triple H weren't, as they were arguing over who would start the match. Undertaker eventual intimidated Triple H into start the match. The match final began, and it was a great battle between Triple H and Rey Mysterio, just like their No Way Out match. The whole match quite a lot of tags, and a lot of action. Towards the end, the battle even went to the outside. While Undertaker and Rey Mysterio were fighting in the ring, Angle hit Triple H with an Angle slam on the outside. Kurt then went on the apron, and got tagged in. Angle charged right to Undertaker, but he got caught by the throat. Then, the arena became dark, with red lights flashing. Smoke filled the ring area, and Undertaker let go of Angle, and began to look around. The Boogeyman's music then started to play. Boogeyman then stepped on stage, clock in hand. He smashed it over his head, and the music stopped, the lights went back to normal, and Boogeyman was no longer on the stage. And, with Undertaker distracted Angle got him and delivered an Angle Slam for the three count.
