Weird place to use my wine price knowledge from 17 years of working at a wine storage facility, but:

The Dom Perignon 2013 usually sells for £120-140 a bottle, so $150-175, making that over a 600% markup.

The Dom Perignon Rosé Luminous is around £350, $440, for a mere 400% mark up.

The only other one we would store is the Barolo Borgogno which is usually £70 a bottle, $88, for 625% markup.

Do not buy wine at the Miami GP.

  2. Mark Clattenburg has left his position at Forest, citing that he had become more of a hindrance than a help. It's baffling to me that anyone thought hiring a former referee to actively criticise and undermine current referees was a good idea to begin with.

As a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan, my favorite pick of the draft is forever going to be trading to grab Jeremiah Trotter Jr out of Clemson. Dad was an absolute icon here, and seeing his son now join the team is just so amazing to see.

I had the same thing last year when the Steelers drafted Joey Porter Jr, it's amazing how emotional it gets to see the legacy of a former player continue with their son. Plus he's fit in nicely to the team, so it's a win-win.

  4. The saddest thing is that Max Moseley is the only person from F1 who went to his funeral instead of Senna's. You can say a lot of things about Moseley, but that has always stuck with me as a reason that he's not all bad.

I remember that weekend so vividly, from Barrichello's horror crash on Friday that left him trapped in the car, to Ratzenberger's death on Saturday, then the startline crash that sent wheels into the crowd which somehow didn't kill anyone, resulting in the safety car period that led to Senna's death, to mechanics getting injured in a pitlane accident, to a podium that not a single driver wanted to be on - and Nicola Larini's only podium for good measure.

There will never be a more cursed F1 race weekend than that one.

I really want an Anthony Edwards jersey. He's fantastic.

    I have two! :w00t:

I am beyond happy to see our first ever sweep, and it feels sweeter to do it against a team who the media were picking to beat us. Admittedly, so was I. The Nuggets will obviously be a much bigger test because Rudy has never shown much aptitude in being able to defend Jokic, but I'll just enjoy the moment for now.

I'm sure Chris Finch will be enjoying it too once he gets out of hospital.

I also look forward to seeing who KD gets himself traded to next. We'll keep Jaden McDaniels thanks.

EDIT: I've just found out that this isn't just the first 4-0 sweep in Timberwolves history, it's the first 4-0 sweep by any Minnesota sports franchise. Yikes.

  6. I've just pre-ordered the Paper Mario Thousand Year Door re-make, mainly because I really want to play it again, but partly because it doesn't matter if it's April 2024 or April 2030, it's Nintendo, it's never going down in price.

  7. This is going far better than I had ever imagined. It's insane that this is the first time the Wolves have been 3-0 in a play-off series in the history of the franchise.

Also, Ant has joined a very notable organisation.

  8. My 2K24 sim continues, but has been getting a bit repetitive. The Lakers or Trail Blazers have won the championship in 8 out of 9 years, and the Lakers have just reached another finals.

They're about to go up against rookie Shaq's Cleveland Cavaliers, because Shaq in this game is OP beyond belief. I fear Manute Bol will have some difficulty stopping him.

  9. I'm on to Series 7, and this is very much the "I remember barely any of this" era. Literally all I can remember about this season is that Vulcan shows up (whilst he was filming for The World Is Not Enough at the same time), taking over as the main heel and allowing Wolf to do a face turn. I think they have a Duel at some point, probably in the final.

One thing I had definitely forgotten is the game Dogfight, it's barely describable (Duel with Airships?), so here's an image:

    UK Gladiators - Season 7 (1998) - Dogfight - YouTube

Safe to say I doubt they'll be bringing this back.

  10. For those interested, Judgement is on sale on XBox for just £10/$12, I've swooped in to pick it up.

    In Infinite Wealth news:

    Spoiler

I wasn't expecting Kiryu to become a fully playable character, it's a little weird that he "suffers" from the same affliction as Kasuga for seeing enemies as RPG monsters, particularly as it's subtly hinting that it's being caused by the cancer, but it is a Like A Dragon game after all.

I've just unlocked the "Reminisce" side missions for Kiryu where you go around to various spots and press a button to have Kiryu reminisce about a specific moment or person from the the series, which also gives an opportunity to go to Kamurocho. I think I know what I'll be completing this evening...

  11. The end to the Knicks/Sixers game was crazy, what was most baffling was how Maxey didn't want the final shot and just handed it off to Embiid with no time left to shoot. An who doesn't like the Lakers giving up a 20 point second half lead?

Two endings like that out of three games is great, it's a shame the Magic have decided not to show up to the Playoffs though. Their offense has been atrocious.

  12. I was so looking forward to the potential cameos and jokes I forgot that the film needed a plot, and it appears to have one, which is nice.

The fight scenes look outstanding, but the last part of the trailer concerns me - the "Blind Al loves cocaine" joke has gone from sight gag in the first film, to being specifically referenced in the second film, to now being hammered home into the viewers face to the point it isn't funny. Hopefully that's just a one-off though.
