  1. I wish they'd kept the wrestlers doing their own moves, because Sting doesn't do the high flying stuff they had him do in that video. And yeah, the ring and crowd area was way oversized, I thought the people who are making the game went to the actual impact zone to check it out. And really, couldn't they have added a referee?

Also, if you notice when wrestlers dive out of the ring over the top rope, they manage to hit their opponents, no matter how far they are.

  2. I'm just lost with these controls. Do I only have one running strike now? Is there no way to just automatically run in the direction of your opponent anymore? I can't store a finisher? I can't do a strong irish whip? Can I slide out of the ring while running? Do I have to be "hardcore" to pick the weapon I'm taking from underneath the ring?

It just seems so NOT user-friendly anymore. With this fighting styles thing it's taken away half the things I can do. If you don't have a hardcore fighting style you can't do SHIT with a weapon. I have to be a powerhouse to do the Ultimate Control moves into the corner and over the ropes, AND to do a strong irish whip. High flyer seems the most fun, but is there only one springboard move for every position of your opponent? Because I feel like a moron doing some crazy-ass Springboard Pheonix Splash as Rey Mysterio, which seems to be the only one I can do when my opponent is lying on the mat.

They seemed to have their hearts in the right place when they made this game, but THQ has really limited what you can do.

  3. The 20 wrestlers isn't a rumour.

At TNA's Bound For Glory pay-per-view this weekend, Midway Games will be holding a major media launch for "TNA Impact: The Video Game." This is the first pro wrestling video game associated with a major promotion other than WWE since WCW shutdown in 2001. The game is scheduled to be released in May for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, and Playstation 2.

Both Samoa Joe and AJ Styles have spent a lot of time with Midway producers fine-tuning all the details of the game. So far the following as been confirmed:

    - The Impact video game will feature 20 TNA performers that are all customizable within the game. Top names on the game include Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Sting, Christian Cage, Jeff Jarrett, Rhino, Abyss, and AJ Styles.

    - Kurt Angle, Christian Cage, Sting, and Jeff Jarrett will be featured on the cover of the game.

    - The Six-Sided ring will be included in the game and will feature the TNA specialty matches The Ultimate X, The King of The Mountain, and tag team matches and Fatal Four Ways. Midway is teasing that the game will feature "Online Tournaments".

    - A story mode will be included into the game that is said to be similar to WWE video games. Story mode will allow players to create and choose a career path based on decisions that they take during the storyline. Gamers will be able to choose the look of their character as well as their managers who will specialize in different fighting styles.

    - Mini games will be included in the game as they will be played to help enhance a character's appearance and abilities as well as unlock hidden features in the game.

    - There will also be a Create A Wrestler mode where you will be able to create your very own performer.

  4. You know that first photo you do at the school? The second career I did(yes I did two seperate ones) I was grinding it and Shingo freaking got into the picture right behind me. Fucking Shingo, trying to take all the credit.

  5. You should be able to, because last time if you wanted you use custom music, you just play it on the dashboard, but on this game, when you create an entrance, you choose what music they have there, so it should have crowd reactions as well.

I have a question though, how come CM Punk doesn't have all his tattoo's?

  6. The trickbook has every trick you can do. With the Darkslide, there's only a few people in the world who can do a good one. Plus, it would not be able to work with the physics of the game as there is no way to do a half-flip trick. It automatically tries to land the trick.

  7. I got the game on Monday, playing it as much as I can. The city is almost too big, often I'll find these really cool spots then never be able to find them again. The game really needs a better map, the map basically has no detail to the point where there can be this huge sewer trench, but you have no idea it's there by looking at the map.

  8. I've had it pre-ordered for almost a month. I downloaded the demo the second it hit marketplace. I have played it literally everyday since the demo was released. This is my most anticipated game EVER.

  9. I'm really looking forward to EA's skate game and I heard that the demo comes out on Wednesday, so I decided I might aswell get off my ass and use those free trial things I have for X-Box live and hook up my X-Box to the internet. After reading the trial things though, it appears I can't use the "other benefits of X-Box Live Gold Membership"(other than online play). So I went onto the X-Box website for some reason, and apparently Marketplace is free (but some things require extra fees). In the demos section, many of the demos are described as being "free single-player demos" and things like that. So before I go through all the work of hooking it up to the internet, will I be able to get this demo for free or will I need Gold Membership? X-Box's site is just very confusing as far as what you need to pay for.

  10. There's a new trailer on IGN showing all the different fighting styles and it shows a few cool things that they haven't showed before:

-First look at Jeff Hardy(looks great)

-Sandman putting someone on the guard rail than hitting them with a chair

-Sandman choking out some guy with a Sledgehammer while they are grounded

-Sandman LIGHTING A TABLE ON FIRE!

-Undertaker using his newly animated Tombstone
