  1. I must say I am enjoying this so far, and I think that's mainly down to your writing style. The humour involved in some of the comments are priceless, and at the same time I can really picture what is going on. Halloween Havoc was well written, and I'm on the edge of my seat to see what happens with Hogan and Sting.

I'm not a fan of many WCW diaries past 1996 or so, but this is an exception. Keep up the great work!

  2. I'd say the best one overall is Here Comes the Pain because of its never before seen features like the elimination chamber and limb damage as mentioned before, and of course the Legends, but I still enjoy Shut Your Mouth to this day. I loved all the interactive backstage areas, and sadly there were only a handful in the later games of the series. For I used to get great fun out of throwing a snowball at Ric Flair out on Times Square. Also I feel the CAW mode on there was the most user-friendly.

Whatever you do, don't go near the latest release, SmackDown vs. RAW 2007, especially on the PS2 (as I haven't seen it on the Xbox 360). The control system is awful, the fan has been juiced out of it completely, and the only new match type is Money in the Bank. Also, loading times are worse than Know Your Role on PSOne.

SmackDown vs. RAW and SmackDown vs. RAW 2006 are quite good, and the season modes are good for the first time you play them, but when you're faced with Teddy Long getting run over every single time at the start of a SmackDown season, things get a little boring. 2006 has a few anticipated match types like Buried Alive which are quite fun to play, and the start of match mini-games have been improved.

I noticed someone say Just Bring It! was 'godawful', but it wasn't all bad. I liked the look of some of the wrestlers, although they do look a little squashed and loading times [bar the opening screen] were minimal. If you can find a later SmackDown title where Triple H looks more like himself, tell me. The 'season mode' (if you can call 3 or 4 matches in a row that) was awful though.

We can only wait and see what SmackDown vs. RAW 2008 holds (if that is indeed being released on the PS2) before we say which is definitely best. Judging on last winter's release though, I'm going with a tie between HCTP and SYM.

  3. Batman (1989)

Well, it was my favourite a good few years back, but looking at it now it's just not the same. But hey, it's the JOKER, and that Museum scene always makes me laugh, whether it's because it's funny or terrible, I do not know. 6/10

  4. Queen - Innuendo, 1991

This album may be older than myself, but I still love it. The songs on it are full of so many messages, some songs appear to be light-hearted, some very dark and gloomy, as Freddie Mercury came into the final stages of his life due to AIDS. It's a very nice album with songs sung from the heart in a whole range of styles. My favourites on the album are, well, all of them, but ones that stand out are Innuendo, Headlong, Bijou, and These are the Days of Our Lives.

A totally awesome album, Freddie's last album was one of their best - 9/10

  5. I am definitely glad this one is back in business. Love the layout and detail, the whole Undertaker/Rock thing is very well written IMO. Looking forward to seeing this one get into the swing of things and looking forward to RAW, Undertaker vs. X-Pac will be controversial no doubt

  6. THE FINALISED LINE UP FOR THE WWF ROYAL RUMBLE 2002

    30-MAN ROYAL RUMBLE MATCH

I'm really not sure about this one, so I'm going to say either Austin or Kane.

Austin - He's a 3 time Rumble Winner in the past you could make it four, although Rock/Austin at WrestleMania for the 3rd time wouldn't be a great way to go in my opinion.

Kane (runner up: ???) - After that incident on SmackDown with Paul Heyman, I can see Kane destroying his competition and winning the Rumble, even if it is a couple of years past its time I'd be glad to see it!

    WWF CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

Vince McMahon © vs. The Rock

Definitely time to take the title from McMahon's grasp - if not at the Rumble some time soon. Not that I dislike the storyline or anything, I think it's all very well written, and I like McMahon's character - but I don't think he should be Champ for much longer, time for a proper Active Worker to take the belt.

    WWF INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP LADDER MATCH

    Edge © vs. Shawn Stasiak

Never really was a fan of Stasiak, and I can see Edge retaining here. Also it's a gimmick match at a PPV, so it could signal the end of this feud which could open the gates for Edge to get involved in a feud with Jericho or Angle on the aftermath of their Best of Seven which could put him well over.

BEST OF SEVEN SERIES FINALE - WINNER ENTERS THE ROYAL RUMBLE

    Kurt Angle vs. Chris Jericho

Got to even this one up to prevent Jericho looking too weak, I can see it being a bit of a messy ending, can't Imagine Jericho winning the Rumble though, which is something I could imagine Angle doing, so it could go either way I suppose, even if Y2J deserves another win, coming back from 3-1

    WWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

The Dudley Boyz © vs. The APA

The APA are a bit past it in my opinion, Dudleys retain the belts but it's not going to be easy for them I believe.

    WWF CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

    Tajiri© vs. Marc Mero

Not a fan of Mero, same prediction as Vengeance for me.

DAVID ARQUETTE LIVE AT THE ROYAL RUMBLE

Something decent could happen here, it's anyones guess what actually does happen though, I'll be looking forward to see what unfolds

WWF HEAT MAIN EVENT - WWF HARDCORE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

Key © (w/Charles Wright) makes an Open Challenge

You've built Key up a lot over the time of this diary so I can see him winning one more bout here and retaining his Hardcore Championship.

    _____________________________________________________

I can't wait to read the Rumble! Keep up the good work!

  7. This is the first in a number of possible King of the Ring logos (if this one is unpopular) I have made for the upcoming event in my diary.

This is my first attempt at making a PPV Banner with Photoshop. Only in my 1994 one in the Cube have I used it in the past (and they're all pretty basic) , I did post a WrestleMania graphic in here months ago but that was done with the GIMP

Now it's not the best quality version and some bits are blurry I know that, and looking at some of the others in the forum i'm way out but what the hey

    Yay or Nay?

  8. The Finalised Vengeance Card

Fatal Fourway Number One Contendership Match for the WWF Championship

Kurt Angle vs. Chris Jericho vs. The Rock vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin

The Olympic Hero has to win this one! Sure, everyone in this bout is capable of holding it but I think Kurt Angle would be the best given what's happened in the past. Think Jericho could come close but I really didn't like him as champ back then. He could have a decent feud with The Rock, I enjoyed that one in the past. You've proven you can also write awesome match write ups between either of these stars, so really any way is good. Don't think Rock or Austin need the belt at the moment, so it's Angle all the way! Angle vs. McMahon would be a laugh

    WWF Intercontinental Championship Match

    Edge© vs. Shawn Stasiak

Never really was a fan of Stasiak, which I think is partly because I had only been a wrestling fan for just over two years at the time and I'd only ever watched WWF. I just can't picture him with the IC belt... and also Edge wasn't just at the right stage for the strap at the time, not ready for the World title, but too good for the lower straps so I can see him keeping hold of it, or if not, keeping in contention for it.

    Singles Match

    The Undertaker vs. Test

Needs revenge for the attack on SmackDown. Although a dusty finish ending with Test getting the win could also be acceptable. I always thought Test would be at this stage around this time, but it wasn't to be, so I'm glad to see it.

    WWF Hardcore Championship Match

Rob Van Dam© vs. Key (w/Charles Wright)

Really not sure on the outcome of this one, but I'm going to pick Van Dam. He's good as Hardcore Champ, and also I was not really familiar with Key before this diary.

A 3-on-2 Elimination Tables Match for the WWF Tag Team Titles

The APA and Spike Dudley vs. The Dudley Boyz©

(If the APA and Spike win, the APA become WWF Tag Team Champions)

APA aren't really over at this point, so I can't see the Tag Belts being put on them. And also it's a Tables match, which The Dudleyz obviously will supposedly have a slight advantage. I can see this leading to more issues between the Dudleyz and Spike after, possibly due to the ending of the match.

    WWF Cruiserweight Championship Match

Tajiri© (w/Torrie Wilson) vs. Marc Mero

Mero's been written well and he seems to be being pushed so the Cruiserweight Title isn't for him. Must say also I'm not a fan of Mero.

    3-on-1 Handicap Match

    Team Xtreme vs. Kane

I must say how much I've enjoyed the Kane/Team Xtreme segments as of late, especially the Kane vs. Lita match, great write up. And after Kane's turn he's been ruthless, so I can see him bypassing the trio here. I can see some mis-communication coming on to the ending, perhaps which ends in Lita losing the match.

Heat Main Event - WWF Women's Championship Match

    Trish© vs. Jazz

Not really the highlight of the event so I can't see a title change coming on here.

    ATGTF

  9. I'm so glad this one's back! I loved this diary! The writing is just so great to read, and I'm so glad to see that it's come back out of the blue. Keep this one up, it's a great read in my view.

I can't remember the last time there were 3 WWF 1990 diaries on the first page

  10. I am still impressed by your diary, I'm still reading. I don't know what it is, it's just something about your layout that makes me want to keep reading. And as for the upcoming RAW, I can't wait to see what happens in the Razor/Helmsley bout, having him lose to Marty Jannetty and then beat Razor could make Razor look a little weak but Helmsley would benefit, so do whatever you gotta do.

  11. I'm still reading this one and I still love it. I don't know what it is, there's just something about your diary that makes me keep reading. It's one of the few '96 diaries I can actually read, as I'm not the biggest fan of the era. Keep it up (Y)

  12. This is a nice diary, I'm quite into it. It started off quite shaky but now you've edited it and your results are a nice length to read. (Y)

And as for The RAW main event with Bret/Austin I picture you giving Austin the win here. You also seem to be pushing Rocky a little here too, after that "fluke" against Bulldog and then defeating Owen and getting to pick a partner to challenge them.

I'll keep checking this one, man. Keep it up! (Y)

  13. I have absolutely no idea who should really play The Joker in this film... I liked Batman 89, even though it kind of scared me when I was little. I didn't think Jack Nicholson was terrible... but he wasn't great either. And I never understood the ending of that film with that green bag... and that "broken record" laugh.... Perhaps he was laughing at Batman and Vicki hanging there.

I'M JUST SO GLAD THEY'VE GOT THE JOKER IN ANOTHER FILM!

But anyone who has watched Neighbours knows that Paul Robinson (Stephen something or other) would make a great Joker :lmao:

sorry for going off topic a bit :D

  14. I agree that it's an underrated diary too, I really like this one. I never really can imagine myself writing a 1996 diary, especially not at this standard. Keep up the brilliant work with this one though, just read through it and love it! It has the potential to last a very long time!

  15. LEGENDS

Legends I would like to see in the game: (grouped but in no particular order)

    Definitely:

    > Demolition (Ax, Smash and Crush)

They would look good on the next gen systems and plus they were a great mega-popular tag team in the late 1980s.

    > Andre The Giant

Has to be in there, full stop. World Class Legend. RIP.

    > Jake Roberts (Where you can actually unlock him without having to buy a PSP or cheating)

Don't know about you but I felt cheated when I found out I'd need to buy a PSP to unlock him, he should come back this year.

    > The Hart Foundation (Bret, Owen and/or Jim Neidhart)

It's good to have Bret but at the beginning of his career he was a tag team wrestler, so he should have one of his tag team partners in here.

    > Hulk Hogan (same attires as in 06)

I don't like him too much but he ruled the 80s.

    > Ted DiBiase

The Million Dollar Man was a great heel, should definitely been in there albeit his third appearance if he does.

    > Mick Foley (Mankind/Cactus Jack/Dude Love attires)

Can you imagine Cactus Jack spreading pins all around the ring floor? Or Mick Foley donning the dreaded sock? Or Dude Love dancing his way down to the ring? I can... It'd be great. The attires he wore would also have potential to look a lot better.

    > Rick Rude

Rude was one of the most charasmatic people on the roster.. should make his legend debut this year.

    > Eddie Guerrero

They should definitely put Guerrero on here as a legend this year as a mark of respect to the great who left too soon.

    > Mr. Perfect

I'm surprised he hasn't been on already, very talented wrestler and charasmatic, would be a good character to have on the game.

    OTHERS

    Could be Good:

    Razor Ramon

    Yokozuna

    Jim Duggan

    Chris Jericho

    Roddy Piper

    The Ultimate Warrior

    Jerry Lawler

    Dusty Rhodes

    King Kong Bundy

    The Rock

    Randy Savage

    Steve Austin

    Unlikely:

    Animal

    Hawk

    Kevin Nash

    X-Pac

    Bob Backlund

And a legend arena - WrestleMania 1 I say, with the proper retro blue ring.

    Hell, there are sooooo many!

I think about 5-15 of these would be good, although I doubt there will be that many legends this year.

Old School Undertaker and Masked Kane should be second attires for Kane and Undertaker (like with Kane last year), Triple H could even have a Hunter Hearst Helmsley attire.

I think they should bring back the Attire system like in Shut Your Mouth, where almost every wrestler had at least two different attires to choose from. And also, just off the subject, there should be WAY more backstage areas, having one or two is pathetic and even the original SmackDown! had four.

Oh, and lots, lots more weapons that don't disappear after using them four times.
