  3. Czechs To Kubina: Cut A Check Or Else

    Published: Dec 9, 2005

TAMPA - Pavel Kubina always answers the call of his national team, having represented the Czech Republic six times since 1996.

After four appearances in the World Championships, one in the World Junior Championships and a spot on the 2002 Olympic team, Kubina should be a lock to be named as one of the defensemen to the 2006 Czech team that will compete in the Olympics in Italy in two months.

    Or maybe not.

Kubina got in some hot water with the Czech Elite League during the lockout when, during a playoff game, he was levied a 15-game suspension and the equivalent of a $10,000 fine for calling referee Petr Bolina corrupt after a 3-1 loss in the semifinals.

The fine has not been paid and the chairman of the league has issued an ultimatum for Kubina to pay the fine or risk being kept off the Olympic roster.

"We decided to set a deadline for Kubina," Vratislav Kulhánek told Czech Business Weekly. "He needs to pay the fine by [saturday] or at least suggest how he intends to clear his debt. If he doesn't respond by this date, he'll be dropped from the Olympic lineup."

On Thursday, Kubina indicated the situation has been cleared up, though he said his spot on the Olympic roster was never in jeopardy after speaking to national team officials last month.

"It's still not 100 percent [of making the team]," Kubina said. "I made a deal where I will pay half [of the fine] to charity."

The money will go to a charity started by the wife of former Czech national coach Ivan Hnlicka, who was killed in an automobile accident in 2004.

Kubina has already represented the Czech Republic at the 2005 World Championships since the fine was handed down and fully expects to participate in the Olympics.

"I was told that this wouldn't be an issue at all," Kubina said. "I have always played for the national team."

    Erik Erlendsson, Carter Gaddis

  4. I don't know if this has been covered, but as a Tampa Bay Lightning fan I thought I'd pass it along.

During the lockout Defensmen Pavel Kubina was playing in his native Czech Rep. where he accused a ref of bribery. That Czech league fined him 10,000 which he hasn't payed. Now Czech Olypmic officals are telling him to pay it by today or he will not be on the Olympic team.......

  5. SAN DIEGO -- Sean Burroughs had a charmed rise through baseball's ranks, until he couldn't hit home runs.

The third baseman, the son of 1974 AL MVP Jeff Burroughs, was traded from San Diego to Tampa Bay on Wednesday for right-hander Dewon Brazelton, who went AWOL for three weeks after being demoted.

Burroughs and Brazelton are both former first-round draft picks who've struggled. Burroughs was the ninth selection overall in the 1998 amateur draft, and Brazelton was taken with the third pick in 2001.

"This is a classic change-of-scenery trade involving two former No. 1 draft picks that are still young players with tremendous upsides," Devil Rays executive vice president Andrew Friedman said.

The 25-year-old Burroughs has a .282 career average in four major league seasons but slumped badly this year and has just 11 career homers. He was sent to the minor leagues on July 23 to work on his swing; he came back 5½ weeks later and finished with a .250 average, one homer and 17 RBI.

Burroughs was on a boat in the South Pacific on Wednesday and not reachable for comment, agent Arn Tellem said.

Joe Randa, obtained from Cincinnati on the same day Burroughs was demoted, finished the season as San Diego's starting third baseman. Vinny Castilla will play third base for the Padres this year after being acquired from Washington on Nov. 3.

Burroughs starred in the Little League World Series in the early 1990s and helped the United States win the gold medal at the Sydney Olympics in 2000.

The Padres thought so highly of him as a rookie in 2002 that they made room for him at third base by moving Phil Nevin to first, and Ryan Klesko from first to right field.

But his first year was interrupted by injury, a slump and a demotion to Triple-A, He returned later that season.

Brazelton, 25, was Tampa Bay's opening-day starter this season, going 1-8 with a 7.61 ERA in eight starts and 12 relief appearances. The 2004 winner of the Tony Conigliaro Award -- which goes to a player who overcomes adversity through spirit, determination and courage -- he struggled personally this season.

Brazelton disappeared for three weeks after being demoted to the minors in May and was put on major league baseball's restricted list. When he returned to the majors, he refused to publicly discuss his absence.

"We did our due diligence, but I don't really want to get into it," Padres general manager Kevin Towers said. "We did a background check. We'll bring him into town next week for a physical and to meet with him. We hope that maybe coming to the West Coast and the chance to be with a contending ballclub might be motivation.

"Sometimes with guys like him and Burroughs, there's much more pressure, being in the organization that spent a lot of money on them and made them No. 1 draft picks," Towers added. "If the performance isn't there, it becomes tough mentally for them."

Brazelton will pitch either out of the bullpen or in the back end of the starting rotation.

Brazelton has an 8-23 career record with a 5.98 ERA in 41 starts and 13 relief appearances during four big league seasons.

    TNA NEWS

Last nights TNA PPV got 201,339 buys, and was seen as a sucess within the company. No injuries were reported coming out of the PPV. Shane Helms' debut confused alot of people within TNA, as he has no history with Killings, or the James Gang, but many are happy Helms is there. There are talks within the company of holding Chris Sabin off of TV for awhile, until he shows he deserves his spot. Christopher Daniels has been cleared to wrestle, and should be coming back full time shortly.

  10. FINAL RESOLUTION PRESHOW

And now TNA is proud to present Final Resloution

    OPENING PYRO

Mike: Hello and welcome to Final Resolution, with me as always is Don West. Don I can't wait for tonight, the anticipation is killing me. I can't wait for the Streetfight between Jeff Jarrett and Steve Austin.

Don That's not all Mike, tonight we will see the NWA Heavyweight Champion Rhino defend his belt against "The Alpha Male" Monty Brown.

Mike: In addition we will see AJ Styles take on Samoa Joe in a No DQ, No Countout match!!!

Don: Mike, Samoa Joe has brought with him his goons from ROH, and AJ Styles will have to not only defend his title, but also the TNA pride that is deep inside of him.

Mike: Don that brings us to our first match. A TNA vs. ROH match, if you will, lets go to the ring.

ALEX SHELLEY VS. MATT BENTLEY W/ TRACI

This was a quick paced 8 minute match. After escaping an early Shellshock by Shelley, Bentley mounted an impressive comeback. However, Roderick Strong came running down and tried to interfere. Unfortunatley, for Strong, Traci saw this and climbed the ropes and hit Strong with a Pie In The Sky. In the confusion, Bentley was able to hit a superkick for the win.

    Overall Rating: B-

We see the history behind our next match. The James Gang vs. Ron Killings and a mystery partner. We once again go through the formation and breakup of 3LK.

Mike: Let's go to the back where Shane Douglas is standing by with the newly named James Gang.

Shane Thank you Mike. With me is The James Gang, guys tonight you have a tough task, as you do not know who you will be facing. Your thoughts.

Kip Our thoughts?!?!?!? Our thoughts are that whoever Killings got to be his partner is going to be in for a rude awakening, because you see, we are the most prolific tag team in this industry.

BG: Ronny, just remember, keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Lord have mercy.

Shane: Let's go to the ring.

THE JAMES GANG VS. RON "THE TRUTH" KILLINGS AND ????

The James Gang enter first, and are awaiting thier opponents. Killings comes out and introduces as his partner........"Sugar" Shane Helms!!!!!!!! This was a little dissapointing to the crowd, as they were expecting someone with some history with either Killings or The James Gang. Everyone was expecting Sean Waltman or Kevin Nash. The match itself was entertaining, and both teams got equal offense. BG was still being punished for his remarks on the IYH radio show, and was the one who did the job. Helms hit a Shinning Wizard, which Killings followed up with a Truth Or Consequences for the win. It looks like Killings and Helms made a good team in Helms' debut.

    Overall Rating: B

Mike: My god Don, it looks like Shane Helms is in TNA to stay.

Don: What an impressive debut for Helms.

Mike: Lets go to the back where Shane Douglas is standing by with Christian Cage.

Shane: Christian Cage, it was not that long ago that Charlie Haas suplexed you through a windshield. Tonight you try to get your revenge.

Cage: Shane, you say try, that is the wrong terminology. Tonight I WILL extact my revenge on Charles. Charles you see, I have all the peeps by my side. How many peeps do you have Charles??? Just one!!! That dirty dime store whore you call your wife!!! Tonight Captian Charisma will be victorious, because that's how I roll!!!

Shane: Let's go to the ring for some more action.

    CHRIS SABIN VS. AUSTIN ARIES

Chris Sabin once again had a piss poor match. Austin Aries tried to keep the match flowing, but mentally Sabin just wasn't there. Aries picked up the win with a 450 Splash from the top rope. After the match, Aries held up a fan's TNA sign, and ripped it in half.

    Overall Rating: C-

We see the history behind the Raven vs. Jeff Hardy matchup. We see Raven constantly attack Hardy in an attempt to "wake him up"

CLOCKWORK ORANGE MATCH: RAVEN W/ CASSIDY RILEY VS. JEFF HARDY

This was your basic hardcore match, that saw alot of weapons used. Raven got Hardy to bleed when he hit Hardy over the head with a Singapore Cane. Raven also did a blade job, after Hardy hit Raven with two trash can lids to the face. The ending came win Hardy went up for a Swanton Bomb, but Riley jiggled the ropes. Raven then went up the turnbuckle and hit an Evenflow DDT from the top rope, through a table. After the match Raven put a noose around Hardy's neck and dragged him to the back, as Cassidy was celebrating.

    Overall Rating: B

We see footage of Charlie Haas hitting an Exploder Suplex on Christian Cage through a windshield

CHARLIE HAAS W/ JACKIE GAYDA VS. CHRISTIAN CAGE

This was quite possibly the match of the night. Charlie Haas had his best match of his career, and Cage showed why he was brought into TNA, and why WWE made a mistake in not getting him to re-sign. This was an exciting 15 minute match, that saw many close near falls. Gayda tried to interfere, but Cage hit the Unprettier on her, Haas tried to hit an Exploder Suplex right after, but Cage reversed it, and hit an Unprettier on Haas for the win.

    Overall Rating A+

    Mike: What a great match!!!

Don: That was the match of the YEAR!!!!

Mike: This will be hard to follow up, but we will try, as we have the Tag Team Championships on the line. Let's go to the ring.

NWA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: AMW © VS. TEAM 3D VS. THE NATURALS VS. TEAM CANADA

Bobby Roode and Eric Young represented the infighting Team Canada. This was a fast paced 10 minute match. Each team was able to get in there signature double team moves. AMW hit a Death Sentence on Chase Stevens, but the pin got broken up by Brother Ray. Team 3D got the win while AMW and The Naturals were fighting on the outside, and Team 3D hit a 3D on Eric Young. Team 3D got the win, and become the new NWA Tag Team Champions. After the match Bobby Roode begins arguing with Eric Young.

    Overall Rating: B

We see highlights from Abyss and Sabu's barbed wire match from Turning Point.

STRETCHER MATCH: ABYSS W/ JIM MITCHELL VS. SABU

This match was a little dissaponting, as there wasn't alot of weapons used. Each person got equal time on the stretcher before escaping. Abyss was able to hit Sabu with 3 straight Balck Hole Slams, and placed Sabu on the stretcher. Jim Mitchell and 2 hooded men were able to shackle Sabu to the stretcher, and before Abyss pushed him to the back, he picked up the stretcher with Sabu restratined, and slammed him on the steel turnbuckle. Abyss, Mitchell, and the two hooded men all pushed Sabu to the back. Abyss wins yet again.

    Overall Rating: B

We see the history between AJ Styles and Samoa Joe. We see AJ trying to injure Joe, but he keeps being held back by Christopher Daniels.

X-DIVISON CHAMPIONSHIP: NO DQ, NO COUNTOUT: AJ STYLES © VS. SAMOA JOE

Despite this being a No DQ No Countout match, only two chairs were used. Roderick Strong, Austin Aries, and Alex Shelley all ran down and interfered in the match. Christopher Daniels tried to make the save, but was thrown out by Strong. As Strong and Daniels battled on the outside, Shelley and Aries each hit their finishers on Styles before Joe hit a Muscle Buster for the win. Samoa Joe is the new X-Division Champion. After the match, Joe brings out a TNA flag and places it over the lifeless body of AJ Styles, as he holds up the belt and a ROH flag.

Don: MY GOD!!!! AJ is DEAD!!!!! Joe is the new champion, I can't believe it!!!!

Mike: Don, we have one more championship match. Let's go to the tale of the tape.

NWA HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: RHINO © VS. MONTY BROWN

This was an ok 13 minute match. There were alot of power moves on display. The ending came when Brown went for the Pounce, but Rhino was able to hit the Gore as Monty was rushing towards him. Rhino wins, and retains his championship.

    Overall Rating: B

Mike: What a great match. Now it's time for the main event.

MAIN EVENT: STREET FIGHT: "THE RATTLESNAKE" STEVE AUSTIN VS. JEFF JARRETT

From a fan's standpoint, this was the match of the night. From a techinical standpoint it was a little dissapointing, but what was expected. AMW tried to interefere but was cut off by Team 3D. Jarrett hit Austin with a guitar, but Austin was able to kick out. The ending came when Jarrett tried to use a chair, but Austin ducked the chairshot, and hit the Stunner for the win. Kevin Nash continues to work backstage at TNA event's, and has been trying to get in ring shape. It is not known if TNA officials want him to return to the ring however.

Last night's Impact drew just under 1 million viewers, a drop from last week.

Bobby Roode came out with all of Team Canada, as they were trying to show some cohessivness. The match itself was entertaining for an opening match. D'Amore was distracting the ref, as Johnny Devine grabbed the Candian Flag. Roode irish whipped Christian towards Devine, however Cage reversed it, and Devine clocked Roode with the flag. Christian then hit the Unprettier for the win. After the match, Team Canada argues in the ring. Christian Cage moves on in the tournament.

    Overall Rating: B

We cut to a video of Raven torturing Cssidy Riley. Riley is tied down to a board, and Raven is whipping him violently. Raven tells Cassidy that his transormation is almost complete. He then looks into the camera and tells Jeff Hardy that soon both of them will wake Jeff Hardy up.

RON "THE TRUTH" KILLINGS VS. "PRIMETIME" ELIX SKIPPER

Both men gave it their all, and it showed in this match. Killings continues to impress with his ring work, and Elix is slowly getting the booker's attention. SONJAY DUTT VS. "SHOWTIME" ERIC YOUNG W/ TEAM CANADA

This was an awkard 6 mintue match. After the help of Johnny Devine, Eric Young pointed towards Petey Williams and hit a Candian Destroyer on Sonjay. Petey is furious over this, then Young hit a Showstopper on Dutt for the win. After the match Petey slides in the ring and begins arguing with Young about stealing his move. Again the sides seems to be Eric Young and Johnny Devine on one side, and Roode, Williams, and A-1 on the other.

Jeff Jarrett makes his way down to ring. He bashes Austin, and tells him that at Final Resolution he will end Austin's career. Jarrett then plays his guitar, and sings about how a rattlesnake will die soon. Loud boos, and boring chants are heard. Everyone was expecting Austin to show up, but he does not.

AJ Styles picks up the win after a Styles Clash on Austin Aries.

A Final Resolution promo is shown.

TEAM 3D VS. THE JAMES GANG

This match was suprisingly slow paced, and bored the Impact crowd. The end came when BG James got 3D'ed for the win. Mike: Hello and welcome to TNA Impact!!!! Live tonight we have a Pay-Per-View quality main event as "The King of the Mountain" Jeff Jarrett takes on Christian Cage.

Don: Mike, I've just got to ask, will Christian even be able to compete tonight??? I mean, we all saw the opening, he got slammed through a WINDSHIELD!!!!!

Mike:That's a good question. Also tonight, the X-Division Championship will be on the line as Eric Young faces off with AJ Styles!!!!

    Don:This is gonna be good.

Mike: Let's go to the back, where Shane Douglas is standing by with Ron "The Truth" Killings

    we cut backstage

Shane: Truth, tonight you face off with Kip James, and unlike last week BG James will be barred from the arena.

Killings: Kip, tonight man-on-man, you will show the world why you are nothing more than Brian's bitch.

Shane: That's some strong words. Let's go to the ring.

BG JAMES BANNED FROM THE ARENA: KIP JAMES VS. RON KILLINGS

The Impact Zone got treated to a quality matchup early on, as once again, Kip and Ron showed great chemistry in the ring. Since BG was banned(suspended), Kip couldn't get an extra advantage. Because of this, Killings was able to pick up the win with a True Conviction.

    Overall Rating: A

Mike: What a great opening match.

Don: You can say that again. Ron Killi......

Jeff Jarrett's music starts. Out walks Jarrett, AMW, and Gail Kim

Jarrett: Austin!!!! I showed you last week who runs things around here!!! Me!!! I do!!! Austin, me and you have had some disagreements in the past, but lets be honest here.......You are jealous of me!!!! You always have been. Back in the USWA days, back in your first run up north......You have and always will be jealous of me. Let's face it Austin, I am the King of the Mountain!!!!! That's why you quit today!!!!!

    Mike Tenay:What's he talking about???

Jarrett: That's right, "The Rattlesnake" has quit TNA!!!!! After what me and my boys did to him last week, he said he was too embarrassed to step foot in another TNA ring ever again!!!! So, right now, I would like to celebrate the life and times of Steve Austin.

Beers are thrown in, as Jarrett, AMW, and Gail Kim celebrate.

    COMMERCIAL BREAK

Mike My God, I just can't believe Jarrett when he says "The Rattlesnake" has quit.

Don: I know, it just seems so out of character for him.

Mike: Well we have got to continue. Let's got to the ring for some Mid-Atlantic Tournament action!!!!

MID-ATLANTIC 1ST ROUND: JEFF HARDY VS. CASSIDY RILEY

This was a relatively short match, that saw Jeff Hardy pick up the win after a Swanton Bomb. After the match, Raven runs down to the ring and attacks Hardy. Riley, upset that he lost, joins in on the beating. Both Raven and Cassidy end up hitting a Double Spike Spinebuster on Hardy through a table. Security rushes down, where Raven is yelling at Hardy to "Wake Up!!!" and Riley is sitting down in the corner of the ring, a la Raven. Jeff Hardy moves on in the tournament, and will face Abyss in the Semi-Finals.

    Overall Rating: B-

We see a "career" retrospective on Team 3D. The only video footage that is shown is of Team 3D's recent indy show appearances. Brother Ray, Brother Devon, Steve Austin, Christian Cage, The Naturals, and Rhino all talk about Team 3D's history in the buisness.

    TEAM 3D VS. TEAM CANADA(BOBBY ROODE & A-1) W/ COACH SCOTT D'AMORE

This was an entertaining fast paced 7 minute match. Team 3D got in most of the offense, but the selling job by Roode and A-1 was outstanding. The end came when A-1 got 3D'ed for the win. Team 3D celebrates the victory, while looking at the cameras and telling AMW to watch out, because they are coming to get them.

    Overall Rating: B-

    COMMERCIAL BREAK

We see footage of the Turning Point preshow, where Simon Diamond picked up a win over Lance Hoyt, because of interference by Elix Skipper.

LANCE HOYT VS. ELIX SKIPPER W/ SIMON DIAMOND AND DAVID YOUNG

This match was designed to test Skipper's ability to have a good match with an akward opponent. Even though Elix did the job, he really stood out for having a passable match with Lance Hoyt. The Impact Zone, for some unknown reason, really digs Hoyt. And, if Hoyt can continue being led through a match, he will really begin to get a push. Hoyt wins with a Boot From Hell.

    Overall Rating: B-

Mike: What a great match. Let's go to the back where Shane Douglas is standing by with Monty Brown.

    Shane: Monty last week you....

Monty: I know what I did last week chump. Everyone knows what I did last week. Another one bites the dust!!!! I hunted down another victim in MY saragenti!!! I have left them ALL in destruction, as this beast known as Monty Brown, destroyed them all!!!! But you see Shane, there is another animal out there, trying to mark his terriorty. His name is Rhino. Rhino you may be the champ, but see this is MY land!!! And soon, you will fall to the P....P....POUNCE!!!!........................PERIOD!!!!!!

CHARLIE HAAS W/ JACKIE GAYDA VS. SHARKBOY

With Sharkboy in there, you knew what type of match this would be........Squash. Haas hit an Exploder Suplex, then followed up with a modified Chicken Wing win.

    Overall Rating: B

A FINAL RESOLUTION PROMO IS SHOWN

Mike: FinalResolution is just 2 weeks away. Next week, we will announce the majority of the card, but is has been just learned that at Final Resolution we will see Christian Cage take on Charlie Haas.

Don: That should be an AWESOME match. But listen to this Mike, at Final Resolution it will be AJ Styles versus Samoa Joe in a No Disqualification match!!!! Should AJ still be the X-Divison champion, this match will be for the X-Divison CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!

    COMMERCIAL BREAK

We see footage from last week, where Samoa Joe, Austin Aries, Alex Shelley, and Roderick Strong all held up the Ring Of Honor banner. We then get a brief synopsis of ROH, and see a few highlights of thier product.

MATT BENTLEY W/ TRACI VS. SAMOA JOE

Joe came out in a ROH shirt, and even tried shaking Bentley's hand before the match. The crowd was split 50/50 for this match, as alot of ROH fans were thier but they were at a TNA event. Joe and Bentley didn't do anything for the crowd, however, as they mainly used slow grappling moves throughout this match. Bentley went for the Superkick, but Joe was able to catch his foot, and really torqued his knee. Joe picked up the win with a Muscle Buster.

    Overall Rating: B-

Mike: I hope Bentley's knee is Ok. Now, let's go to the back where Shane Douglas is standing by with Team Canada.

When we cut to the back, only Douglas is standing next to Eric Young, Johnny Devine, and Scott D'Amore

Shane: Thanks Mike. With me now is Team Canada. But, Coach D'Amore this doesn't look like a team, as many of the players are missing. Eric Young is set to have the biggest match of his career, yet his running buddies Petey Williams, Bobby Roode, and A-1 are nowhere to be found. Where are they??

Damore That is none of your buisness Shane!!!! The only thing that matters is Eric Young getting his hands on some gold, and bringimg it back to Canada!!!

NON TITLE: RHINO VS SIMON DIAMOND

This match went to the ten minute mark, and didn't dissapoint. Rhino showed why he is the champion, while Diamond put in another strong effort that will be sure to get the officials attention. Rhino, however, came out on top after a Gore.

Mike: Hello and welcome to TNA Impact!!!! Tonight is a very special night for TNA, as we are going live for the first time!!!

Don: And, Mike, you know what today is??? MONDAY!!!!! Tonight we show the world why TNA is the best wrestling action anywhere!!!!

Mike: And what a card we have for you........We have a Falls Count Anywhere Match between Christian Cage and Monty Brown!!!!

Don: AND we have a HUGE main event!!! On one team we have the former champion Jeff Jarret and AMW, and they take on the team of "The Rattlesnake" Steve Austin and Team 3D!!!!!

Mike: It was just two weeks ago, at Turning Point, that "The Rattlesnake" made his suprise debut.

A Turning Point recap is shown

Mike:That's not all, tonight we have two men from Team Can.....

The sound of glass shattering is heard

    Don:Mike is it him!?!?!?!?!?

Mike: I don't know........Oh wait, it is him!!!! It's Steve Austin, "The Rattlesnake"!!!!

Steve Austin come down to the ring and grabs a mic

Austin: Ahem.....Ahem......(Looks around with a smile, as the crowd is chanting "Austin!!")........Alot of people have been asking me, "Stone.......uhhh I mean Rattlesnake, why are you in TNA???" My answer is of course, "What?". No you see it's quite simple, I am here because Larry Zybysko wanted me to be here. I am here because Larry assured me that I wouldn't do the job for someone named Coachman. And most importantly I m here to finally shut that sorry sack of crap, Jeff Jarrett, up for good. I have been watching TNA recently, and all I see is some fluff boy with frosted tips calling himself The King Of The Mountain......Eh-eh!! Not on my watch boy!!!

Jeff Jarrett is shown on the Impact-Tron

Jarrett Austin!!!!! I don't know what you are doing here

Austin What??? I just told you........I am here to beat the snot out of you!!!

Jarrett Funny, real funny Steve. But you see, you are on foreign soil, you are on enemy grounds. Larry Zybysko might be the DOA, but I run things around here!!!! I say who gets TV time, I say who gets matches with whom, and I say who gets title shots..........Let me tell you Steve, just looking at you, you will NEVER get a shot at the NWA Heavyweight Title. I know I am not the title holder, but I say who gets the next shot......And, you just don't deserve it!!! You are not at the level of competion here Steve, so just pack your bags and run back to Stamford with your tail between your legs...

Austin Do you have a hearing problem??? What???? I said I was here to kick your ass. I could give two Stephanie's about a damned title.

AMW run into the ring, and we have a 2-on-1 beating. Soon Jarrett makes his way down to the ring, and joins the fracas. We have a 3-on-1 beating going on. AMW holds Austin up, but before Jarrett can get in a guitar shot, Team 3D makes the save. The heels retreat to the back, as Austin and Team 3D have a good old fashioned beer bash

    COMMERCIAL BREAK

Mike:Tonight we will also begin a tournament to crown the very first TNA Mid-Atlantic Champion. Let's go to the ring for some tournament action!!!

1ST ROUND ACTION: ABYSS W/ JIM MITCHELL VS. SONNY SIAKI

Clearly this was designed to be a squash match. Abyss was still selling his injuries from the Barbed Wire match. After some minimal offense by Siaki, Abyss took the match over. Abyss won cleanly with a Black Hole Slam. After the match, and phyiscally beaten down Sabu trys to enter the ring to attack Abyss, but Abyss ended up just destroying Sabu. After 4 straight Shock Treatments, Abyss set up a table and Black Hole Slams Sabu threw the table. Sabu has to be carried to the back on a stretcher.

    Overall Rating: B-

Don:Wow, so Abyss will be moving on in the tournament, and will face the winner of the Jaff Hardy vs. Cassidy Riley match!!

Mike:Abyss is going to be a force to be reckoned with for sure. Let's go to the back with Shane Douglas who is going to be joined by Kip James and BG James.

Shane Thanks, Mike. Joining right now is the men who lost at Turning Point, and also lost the rights to the name Three Live Kru.

BG Hey we may have lost that match, but we effectively killed the 3....L...K You know, I got so tired of carrying Ronny and K-Dawg on my back. That's why when I heard my boy Kip was coming to TNA, well it was only a matter of time before we joined up again

Kip All I have been hearing is "3LK was the best team in TNA" Blah.....Blah......Blah......You see, you are looking at the best team in TNA and wrestling history, right here....Us!!! And, Killings, yes it does suck that Konnan had to take his pinata and run home, but now you are dealing with us. Killings, in just a few minutes you will find out why they call me a Badass!!!

BG Tell me you didn't just say that......Lord have mercy!!!

    Shane Back to you Mike...

Jeff Hardy is shown in his lockeroom. Suddenly, Raven runs in and attack Hardy. Raven Evenflow DDT's Hardy onto the concrete. Raven sits next to Hardy's motionless body, and rocks back and forth when security runs in and escorts Raven out. Raven is heard screaming "Hardy!!!!Wake up Hardy!!!!"

RON "THE TRUTH" KILLINGS VS KIP JAMES W/ BG JAMES

The Impact Zone was suprisingly hot throughout this match. Killings showed why he is one the more promising wrestlers in TNA, and the leadership skills of Kip James were on display for everyone to see. Unfortunately, for Killings, the constant interference of BG Jmaes hindered his performance. The ending came when Killings, who was on the top turnbuckle, was pushed off by BG. This gave Kip ample oppurtunity to connect with a Famouser for the win.

Christopher Daniels is shown walking backstage. Matt Bentley and Traci welcome Christopher back. After leaving them, Samoa Joe corners Daniels.....

Samoa Joe: Hey, Chris.......How ya feeling???(starts laughing)

    Daniels What do you want???

Joe I just wanted to say, thank you for the other night. And I just wanted to say that my attack on you was not personal, it was all buisness.

Alex Shelley, Austin Aries, and Roderick Strong all enter, and back up Samoa Joe.

Daniels: What is this Joe??? You couldn't finish the job, so you enlist your goons to do the job???

Joe No, it's nothing like that. You see, these people (he points to Aries, Shelley, and Strong) theese people are the only people I can trust here. You see, Chris, me and you go way back.....Back to the Honor days...I have alot of respect for you....

AJ Styles, Andy Douglas, Shark Boy and Sonjay Dutt enter and back up Daniels

AJ Joe, thank Daniels now, because when he isn't here to save you, I will destroy you.

Daniels AJ, calm down......This isn't the time or the place...

AJ and his TNA team look disgusted at Daniels and leave

Daniels: Joe.....soon you will fall victim to me!!!! The Fallen Angel!!!!

X-DIVISON #1 CONTENDERSHIP MATCH: PETEY WILLIAMS W/ TEAM CANADA VS. "SHOWTIME" ERIC YOUNG W/ TEAM CANADA

Petey Williams entered the ring wearing an eye patch, because of his fractured orbital bone. All of Team Canada was down at ringside for this match. The match itself was a little slow and boring, due to Petey's injuries. A-1 and Bobby Roode seemed to be helping Petey Williams while Johnny Devine seemed to be favoring Eric Young. Coach D'Amore just looked confused as both his men were fighting each other. Petey went for the Candian Destroyer, but Eric Young was able to wiggle out, and rolled up Petey with a handful of tights for the upset win. "Showtime" Eric Young is now the #1 Contender for the X-Divison title, and will get his title shot next week!!

Mike: Well Don, it looks like Team Canada has some internal problems to sort out.

A PROMO FOR FINAL RESOLUTION IS SHOWN

AJ STYLES, SONJAY DUTT, SHARKBOY, AND ANDY DOUGLAS VS. SAMOA JOE, AUSTIN ARIES, ALEX SHELLEY, AND RODERICK STRONG

This was a clustefuck. Samoa Joe ended up winning the match after a Muscle Buster on Sonjay Dutt. After the match Joe, Shelley, Aries, and Strong hold up a ROH banner, as the TNA fans boo. AJ tried to re-enter the ring with a chair, but was held back by Christopher Daniels.

Mike: What great X-Divison action. Lets go to the back, where Shane Douglas is standing by with Christian Cage.

Shane Christian Cage, at Turning Point you and Monty Brown went to a draw. Tonight you face him in a......

Cage: No...No No....No.....At Turning Point, Monty realized that he couldn't beat me, so he went running. It went to a draw, because I chased him. If I just stayed in the ring, I would've won.....But I not like that......I am Captain Charisma, I run from no one, especially someone who sounds constepated. Hey Monty, instead of pouncing people, maybe you should worry about taking a (makes a contorted face) C.....C....CRAP!!!

FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE: CHRISTIAN CAGE VS. MONTY BROWN

This was an outstanding match, and really showed that Christian can have a passable match with anyone. The match went all over the Impact Zone. Monty pounced Cage through the popcorn stand, but couldn't pick up the win. They went out to the parking lot, where they took turn slamming each other into cars. Christian Cage was going to hit the Unprettier on the concrete, but dropped him when he saw Jackie Gayda. Christian walked over to Gayda, and Jackie slapped Christian in the face. Before Christian realized what happened, Charlie Haas ran up and hit an Exploder Suplex on Christian through a windshield. Monty made the easy pin for the victory. After the match, Brown shook hands with Haas and Gayda.

Mike: My God, Don, that was Charlie Haas!!! What is he doing here???

Don: I don't know, but Christian got slammed through a WINDSHEILD!!!! I hope he is OK.

MAIN EVENT: "THE RATTLESNAKE" STEVE AUSTIN AND TEAM 3D VS. JEFF JARRETT AND AMW

This was a good main event for the debut of the Monday Impact. Austin was , understandibly, non-existent in this match. Team 3D did most of the ring work in this match. The ending came when Chris Harris got 3D'ed for the win. After the match, however, Jarrett and AMW attacked thier opponents. Austin got handcuffed to the ropes. Brother Ray and Devon both got guitar shots. Gail Kim came running down with three new guitars. AMW and Jarrett hit Austin in the head simultaneously with their guitars. Jarret, AMW, and Kim hold thier hands up in the air, as the scene fades to black
