  1. The wheelchair and stairs seem a bit odd, no idea as to what they're representing.

What do you mean you don't get it? It's pretty obvious when you think about it. It's a piece about disability and the anger of those with a disability in certain situations. Which is what the wheelchair and stairs represent, someone not being able to get up the stairs because they are disabled.

  2. alternateyou shows a better, and closest, portrayal of emotion with good use of colour and imagery. Especially liked the symbol and font style for it.

awitts' portayal of emotion seems to be a bit off in some areas.

    • The wheelchair and stairs seem a bit odd, no idea as to what they're representing.

    • The expression looks more like pain, rather than anger, which leans somewhat away from the emotion chosen.

Right colour to represent anger though.

Overall, my vote goes to alternateyou.

  3. Looks like a really simple banner, but still looks reasonably good.

    • Like alldawson said, one problem I find is the second left-hand wrestler, whom looks nearly transparent.

    • I'm not sure why, but the thin lines going through the banner (I'm guessing due to using a filter) doesn't seem right to me.

    • And I think the background could be improved a little.

In my opinion, I think I'll give it about...

    6/10

Not the best banner, but it's still good.

  4. In terms of RPG games for the PC, not sure about Heroes of Might & Magic, but I've also heard good things about Dungeon Siege. Neverwinter Nights is not bad, but is not quite as great as people claim it to be.

In my opinion, until I get the chance to play Dungeon Siege, I would highly recommend Elder Scrolls:Morrowind, which is now available in budget. I find it has a lot more depth and is less linear than Neverwinter Nights, though whether it's better than the KOTOR and Diablo series is debatable.

Or you could wait until Elder Scrolls:Oblivion, which I hear is looking to be something worthwhile, maybe ground-breaking (yeah, you probably kinda figured out that I'm a fan of The Elder Scrolls).

Other than that, I guess you're more than stuck with the casual games.

  5. For me, definately a sequel to the Syndicate series. The original Syndicate was great, Syndicate Wars improved on it, and with the technology available today, it could have the potential to become something breathtaking. I also like to see a sequel to the System Shock series. But this is just my opinion.

This is just initially what comes to mind right now. I'll be replying back when I know some more.

  6. I'd of used screencaps, rather than counting each section.

You mean by taking screenshots of each section and finding out the height in a graphics program like Photoshop? If so, wasn't any need to. I just view each image in my internet browser, and it'll tell me the dimensions of the image itself. No way was I gonna measure the height pixel for pixel; I may had been crazy and bored, but not to that extreme.

Looking at how the tower is broken down into smaller sections at various points, I'm now starting to wonder if the tower was actually done by a group of artists or by one person.

Each section was done by a different person, hence the name next to each section.

  7. Finally got back from finding out the tower's height. Including the width, the approximate dimensions of the tower are:

    Width: 170 pixels

Height: 27765 pixels (from centre of tower)

Basically, when viewed in 1024 x 768 resolution, it's 36 screens high. I also worked out that the tower is 0.05 x 8.14m.

You could find how tall it is by saving it and opening it up in photoshop, or you could sit there like an idiot and count it pixel for pixel.

  8. I have to say the WWE games, particularly Smackdown!. Lost interest in the franchise when it came to the point of being nothing more than just another annually updated button-basher with improved graphics and less improved gameplay. The exception here was Smackdown! 2, which is still a good game upto this day. Regardless, the franchise really lacks substance when compared to Fire Pro Wrestling. I haven't played the last two Smackdown! games for the PS2 (i.e. Smackdown! vs. Raw 2004/2005), but from what I recall, I'm not missing much at all.
