I wouldn't expect everton to win a trophy anytime soon and I think Rodgers has to focus on a top 4 finish. It's always hard to compete for everything. Look at Liverpool last season. Great cup run but poor league position for them.
Throw in the Europa league and that's alot of matches.
-
I'd just like to congratulate Brendan Rodgers on matching David Moyes' Everton trophy haul during his first day on the job.
I wouldn't expect either tally to rise anytime soon.

Well I wont be doing that. Anyways is there an alternative inventory or is this the only place you can get the majority? Had a look on the Internet and most links just took me to a dead link.

Try keeping the computer off for a few weeks (Y)
I struggle to See how that would help
It would help us.
Explain?

Everytime i try to download a file it says they are invalid. Is it my end or is there something wrong with the Inventory

Well if he goes anywhere I guess they get compo. Would love to see villa get martinez now and lamberts just stuck in limbo. Like Mark Hughes.

Why are we taking the Ian Holloway suggestions seriously when the same guy said...
Or Steve Kean.
Under his management Norwich would finish in the top half and win the carling cup. Bet 100 quid.
Wait, what? How did I miss thatCongratulationsChristain#1, you may have actually
made the most stupid post in this thread.
I thought that was a reference to that Steve Kean video, y'know, the one in which he insulted big Sam and said that Blackburn would win the Carling cup.
Yup. That's the one. Glad somebody got it.

So now the rest of Scottish football will suffer because of rangers if the SFA won't punish them. It's getting beyond a joke.
And to any rangers fans that think green will save them, he's has no interest in putting money into rangers and is clearly looking at a quick buck. Look at his history.

Holloway's comments on Villa; "not some half-a***d place that used to be famous and the manager is on a dodgy wicket." from when we were interested in Adam. He also said Liverpool couldn't afford him - and we know how that worked out.
Ah. In hindsight maybe he was saying you really don't want him.

Everybody loves Blackpool. Or they should. Why don't you like holloway? Hates a strong word.

Then give him a call.
I'm too shy. Besides he was only in the championship.
Yeah he wouldn't have much resources at Norwich either. But still I liked him when he was at Blackpool. Saw them in their last match at old Trafford and they impressed me and Ian got a standing ovation and I hoped they would get back up.

Well then I missed him.

Ian Holloway for me please. He has been missed in the premier league.

Chris houghton would be a great appointment. Always felt he got a raw deal at Newcastle although I dont think any geordies would complain now.

Money.
I would be intriguted to see who Norwich would get to replace him if he goes. Doubt Villa would be offering him a huge wage increase.
-
Apparently Paul Lambert has walked out of Norwich, perhaps because they refused to let him talk to Villa.
I would be shocked if that was true. Figured he would have a bit more respect for the club. And besides he had the huge bust up with the reporter for even daring to ask the question about a move to Villa. He shouldnt really be suprised Norwich have that stance, they said a week ago they would not entertain any bids for him.

Wigan are terrible, Martinez is awesome. That he's staying there for another season is a testament to what a loyal and principled manager he is. He's still very young for a manager, he has years to move to a bigger club, Liverpool didn't offer him what he wanted so he stayed put. Smart if you ask me. I hope he sticks with the 3-4-3 that's served him well towards the latter half of this season because the Prem could really use some tactical variety.
Any Team that has Gary caldwell as the main central defender is hardly going to EVER be descibed as good. They have have a average team that seemed to come alive at the end of the season. That cant last forever.
-
If we ignore the finishing positions though and Liverpool get someone who can get them a 'winning formula' then there is no reason they can't challenge for the top four, I just don't think they will break the top four with the teams that are up there at the moment. City and United are gonna be there, same for Chelsea. Then you have Spurs, Arsenal and Newcastle to contend with around the fringes of the
top 4(assuming Newcy have another good season, and unless something drastic happens I can't see them vanishing off the face of it). Pool need a lot of development or a lucky run of form that settles then down at the start of next year or they may be looking at being rather uninspiring
once more.
Totally but if the run continues you are looking at the better players wanting away. It's not a terrible team but they spent alot of money buying players that are supposed to be the
building blocks of the future. I think all of them could be sold in the future rather than be players you expect to be at the club for years.
I just think Rodgers will be the same old. Certainly with City, United, Tottenham and Chelsea all strenghining their squads.
This is kinda simular to hodgson. Did well with a smaller club and look how that turned out.
-
I think you will find that there are most certainly 4 teams better than Liverpool out there, 2 are from Manchester, 2 are from London.
It could be argued that there are 3 in London and looking at the table one from Liverpool.
-
Not when Charlie Adam regains fitness and stewart downing and Andy Carrol come back with winners medals linekles.....
-
Still see Liverpool finishing outside the top 4 with Rodgers in charge.

Read lord sugars biography. Very good read. A long read but just a fascinating account of his life. And read the hunger games trilogy which I couldn't put down.
-
One of the newspapers used the headline "See You Next Tuesday?" for the Martinez story. They're obviously either not a fan of Liverpool or Martinez.
Thats Superb. Wouldnt happen to be the sun would it? Rumors abound that guardiola could be tempted to go to chelsea and that Man United would like him to succed Sir Alex. I know Fergie said he had 3 years left last season but if he were to go a year early to allow Pep to have his year long break with the chance to take over United i could see something being worked out.
I doubt Fergie will plan his retirement around what Pep wants to do, instead of, you know, what he wants to do.
Fergie can stay until he's 80 if he wants. That would be fine.
Brendon Rodgers to Liverpool. Think he would do well but will he really be able to push them to a top 4 finish I'm not sure. And we all know that's what they want. And rather quickly.

Today is the day that rangers players can leave at cut price deals that were written into their contracts as a result of them agreeing to a wage cut. Their wages also go back to what they were before the agreement.
I would imagine Naismith and Davis will be attracting attention.
