Aussie Football (soccer)

Cane someone tell me a bit about it? When do they play (month-month) who are the best teams, what's the quality etc?

Help would be appreciated.

It has been on a hiatus since a debacle with changing the amount of teams, and basically changing the whole way the League works.

I am a Perth boy, and our team, Perth Glory are the BEST~! MWAHAHAHAHA~!

And thats all I can really say. I think it is starting back up in 2 months...

I'm far from being an avid supporter of soccer, but recently the whole National Soccer League changed to the Hyundai A-League, with salary caps and everything.

Take a bit of a look on Google, th best I could come up with is some thread on the soccer version of BigFooty (AFL), BigSoccer.

They play professional soccer here? I thought all the good players went over to the UK? I remember something called the Brisbane Strikers but I thought that all folded like 5 years ago?

Not really.

In Australia, if you think of Football, you would think 'Aussie Rules'.

Funny thing is, Soccer, is really the true form of FOOTball... just odd.

What I mean, is that most people in Australia will think AFL first, then the eastern staters will go NRL and Union.
