NCAA Baseball Playoffs

Anyone else watching ?

I enjoyed this weekend as my team (FSU) advanced, and my home state choice (A&M) advanced by defeating the defending national champions (Rice) with a grand slam. That's the Rice University that will most likely have 3 pitchers taken in the first round of the draft.

Anyway, thanks to A&M winning (and my pull at FSU being here in Texas) I get to go to Baton Rouge this upcoming weekend to watch some good baseball in one of the best college atmospheres in the country.

Just curious if anyone else out there is going to any super-regionals (went to a regional), or gives a shit at all.

I agree, although the restrictions that have been put on the bats in the last few years have DRAMATICALLY improved the game.

The only thing though ... without the *ding* it wouldn't be college baseball

College baseball players don't... it's just those rouge Football/Basketball guys

Obviously they aren't as wide spread as the football but there is something drawing guys like Berkman and Cruz Jr to RICE .....

When you've got ESTABLISHED (not to mention EASIER schools) like TU and A&M in Texas recruiting you, and you choose RICE ? Interesting.

Of course, the freakin chess team is on salary so it really doesn't matter lol ...

LOL ... aww come on now Biggzy ... I know you aren't nieve enough to think that there is a single college athletic team that isnt' "owned" ....

don't get me started on the equistrain team at North Carolina, or the Tiddlywinks squad at Coastal California community college ....
