PS2 Online Help

I've tried everything all day and I can't get my PS2 online to work, I tried doing automatic settings for the IP's and stuff and then that didn't work so I tried using a static IP and then my data and some of my IP stuff wouldn't fit into the boxes.

I've tried sites and stuff but no luck.

If anyone can help me, please. I'd appreciate it.

Are you behind a firewall?

Unless you are on AOL, don't even bother entering in manual settings, just hit the automatic button.

Do you have a router?

If so, make sure you have an ethernet cord running from:

PS2 - Router

Router - Internet Box

Router - Computer

I have a d-link box and its from a router

and I the cable box into the d-link, then the d-link to the computer and then the d-link to the PS2 with three cords.

When I test network connections on the option it gives you it says I'm fine but I can't get passed the DNAS thing...

...what game are you trying to play? If it's not the most recent version they may have taken away internet play from it to move it to the new version, and that would be the cause of your DNAS problem.

I've tried to play MVP Baseball 2005 and SDvsRaw doubt those would be taken away...

Very odd. You have opened the ports for PS2 internet usage, correct?

I don't think I have, I may have but I doubt it...I don't know what they are so chances are I didn't.

Now how would one do this?

I'm thinking that your router firewall's throwing a fit and not letting the DNAS connection get through.

It really depends on your internet company and router manufacturer on how to fix the problem.

Should I instal the router software and then try and mess with that?

What's the easiest thing for me to do right now to get this thing to work?

Easiest thing to try that I can think of as of now would be to get your PS2 directly linked to the cable modem, and then try it. If it doesn't work, there's an internet/PS2 problem. If it does, it's a router problem.
