Xbox 360 Problem

Sigh. I haven't even had my 360 24 hours yet, and it's already fucking me around. I've been playing a save game of Dead Rising, and there's been no problems. If you look in the harddrive, it's there. Yet, if I try and play the game, I end up RIGHT back at the beginning of the game. All my stats register on the title screen, but I'm stuck at the beginning of the game.

Any ideas of why it's doing this? It didn't do it this morning.

EDIT: Ok, and I just realised. My character is wearing the clothes he changed into this morning, and all my photos are still in his photo album.

My brother's been playing Dead Rising and from what he's told me about it it sounds to me like you've died and saved the game. When you do that you keep your stats and whatnot but you have to start from the beginning.
