Recommend Anime

On a random anime tangeant, I hate that I just noticed they're now releasing the Mai-HiME DVDs over here in the UK as well. It removes the penultimate barrier (the last being money) for me just going out and buying them all again, having already got fansubs burnt on CD as well as a very poor Hong Kong boxset (in which Midori is subbed as being called Akira, and Akira is called...Akira as well). A smiliar problem plagues me for Elfen Lied, and will do again as soon as we get Gankutsuou and School Rumble over here as well.

Maybe I've just become subconsciously spoilt by fansubs, but when series are so awesome that I feel obliged to fork out £15 a disc for 6 discs just so I can own it in shiny DVD format, it makes me feel incredibly bitter.
