You suggested that the main card be worth more, I said the undercard should be.

In weigh-in news...

Cro Cop looked heavier than normal, 223, where he is usually 215-220.

Travis Lutter weighed in 2 pounds heavy, after the two hours, dropped half a pound. Fight is still on, but is a non-title bout now.

Just a quick bump to remind everyone that predictions have to be in by the start of the show tonight, 7pm PT, 10pm ET er... Figure out the rest yourselves >_>

And Lutter is a gay, but nobody has predicted the match going longer than three rounds anyway, so it doesn't overly matter for the competition.

So now Lutter has to beat Silva twice in order to win the title. If he does that, I'll be the biggest Travis Lutter bandwagoner in the universe.

The thing is, I actually liked Lutter chances to beat Silva if he can get him off his feet. I mean, he's been submitted by lesser grapplers. Not taking away that Lutter is a tremendous grappler in his own right.

Also, I know I picked Rampage, but if the Rampage that fought during his last days Pride shows up, it's going to be a lot closer than it should be. If the Rampage that decisioned Lindland shows up, it'll be primarily Page dominated. I hope Jackson brings his 'A' game and puts on a show because I loved oldschool Rampage.

Marvin Eastman is a lot better than his past UFC appearances let on. He's an extremely strong, very athletic fighter with quick, heavy hands and is a pretty solid wrestler on top of that. He shouldn't be taken lightly. That being said, Page at his best is all that times 5, and has experience against many of the world's best 205 pounders.

Fun fact, Marvin Eastman is the one KO victim on Travis Lutter's record. A UFC 50 prelim bout and probably a candidate for least exciting fight on a UFC card since the days dinosaur Dan Severn roamed the Octagon.

I'll post updates and results from the show, as normal I will not post the prelims until after the show has ended in case they are aired (and I expect a couple to air if not all of them). If you are getting the event have fun. :)

Patrick Cote d. Scott Smith by Unanimous Decision (30-27)

Cote had Smith ROCKED in the second and didn't finish, in fact he stood there and let him regain his composure, I was ticked off. His excuse he used after the fight was retarded saying he saw the Pete Sell fight, bullcrap, you finish the f'n fight.

Quinten 'Rampage' Jackson d. Marvin Eastman by KO in the Second Round

Roger Huerta d. John Halverson by TKO/Ref Stoppage in 19 seconds

Cro Cop d. Eddie Sanchez by TKO/Ref Stoppage in Round One

Anderson Silva d. Travis Lutter by Submission in the Second Round (Triangle Choke)

Frankie Edgar d. Tyson Griffin by Unanimous Decision (29-28x2, 30-27)

One of the most exciting fights I've seen, did you see that kneebar!!!?

Terry Martin d. Jorge Rivera by KO in 14 seconds

WOW!

Fights that did not air:

Lyoto Machida d. Sam Hoger by Unanimous Decision (30-27)

Dustin Hazelett d. Diego Saraieva by Unanimous Decision (30-27)

Those were the full results NBT. :)

I'm glad to see more people in a UFC thread although I don't know how many actually watched, better than our normal 3-5 people. :P

I meant full results in regards to the predicition competition, Biggz (Y) Which are only a couple of minutes away, I'm just working on a few little stats. And I'll be watching the show tonight as we get it for free over here on a one day delay. *hugs TV*

Well that's some crap, I always gotta pay 40 bucks... It's worth it so I shouldn't complain.

Dana White intimated that “Cro Cop” will fight on the April card in London and after that, provided he is victorious, will face the UFC heavyweight titleholder.

AGH!!! Motherfucker, my computer just had a spasm and froze up and I lost the bloody league work. Cole is top with 105 points from what I remember, I'll start work on it again in a minute.

I'm highly pissed off right now, but that news about Cro Cop softens the blow somewhat.

And the show is in London now?

Well, second time is the charm I guess. After the first show of the predicition league we already have a clear leader as Cole stands head and shoulders above the rest of us scoring a mightily impressive 105 and putting himself 10 points clear of his closest rivals, Enter Blue Guy and PotatoClassic. One of the early favourites did not fare too well in the first round of predicitions as ACCBiggz finds himself in the lower half of the table after scoring a fairly pedestrian 65. A woeful performance from Wonderkid sees him prop up the table with 30, while Miami Vice only faired a little better ending up in the penultimate league position with a score of 40. All is obviously not lost as there is a long line of shows still to come this year and many chances for all of those involved, and even for those posters that missed out on the competition this time around, to pick up points quickly.

The full league is posted below, along with the scores from each match. As this is the second time I've had to do all the results in a row, I'm guessing the likelihood of me getting a score wrong is a little bit higher, so its always best to check over your score and tell me if you think I've got something wrong. The order of the fights in my totting up of the scores is as follows - Hazelett/Saraieva, Machida/Hoger, Edgar/Griffin, Martin/Rivera, Cote/Smith, Jackson/Easton, Cro Cop/Sanchez, Huerta/Halverson, Silva/Lutter.

1. Cole: (20 + 10 + 0 + 0 + 20 + 15 + 15 + 10 + 15) 105

2. Enter Blue Guy: (20 + 20 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 15 + 15 + 15 + 10) 95

2. PotatoClassic: (10 + 0 + 20 + 0 + 10 + 10 + 20 + 10 + 15) 95

4. LBTN Killed Monkey?: (0 + 20 + 0 + 10 + 10 + 15 + 15 + 10 + 10) 90

4. desiredtoe: (20 + 20 + 0 + 10 + 0 + 15 + 15 + 0 + 10) 90

6. Natural Born Thrilla: (10 + 20 + 0 + 0 + 10 +15 + 10 + 10 + 10) 85

6. Takayamanofear: (0 + 20 + 0 + 0 + 20 + 10 + 15 + 10 + 10) 85

6. crazedfan: (0 + 20 + 0 + 0 + 20 + 10 + 15 + 10 + 10) 85

9. The K-Dogg: (10 + 0 + 0 + 10 + 10 + 15 + 20 + 10 + 0) 75

9. Raistlin: (0 + 20 + 0 + 0 + 20 + 10 + 15 + 0 + 10) 75

11. punky: (0 + 10 + 0 + 10 + 10 + 15 + 15 + 10 + 0) 70

12. ACCBiggz: (0 + 10 + 0 + 0 + 10 + 10 + 15 + 10 + 10) 65

12. Dochappy: (0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 10 + 15 + 15 + 10 + 15) 65

14. KCC: (0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 10 + 10 + 20 + 10 + 10) 60

15. TAFKA SOB: (0 + 10 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 15 + 20 + 0 + 10) 55

16. Miami Vice: (0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 10 + 20 + 0 + 10) 40

17. Wonderkid: (0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 20 + 0 + 10) 30

Quick Stats:

  • Mikro Cro Cop was the 'EWB lock of the show' as nobody predicted that he would lose in his UFC debut. Only one poster incorrectly went against Rampage in his debut (Wonderkid), while two people wrongly sided with Travis Lutter in his match with Anderson Silva (punky and The K-Dogg).

  • According to the EWB predictions, the shock of the night at UFC: 67 was the result of the Tyson Griffin/Frankie Edgar match as only one poster went with the eventual winner Frankie Edgar (PotatoClassic).

  • Nobody on EWB managed to correctly guess the winners of all nine matches at UFC: 67, however Cole, PotatoClassic, LBTN Killed Monkey? and Natural Born Thrilla all correctly predicted the results of seven of the nine matches. At the other end of the spectrum, Wonderkid only managed to correctly pick the winners of two of the matches, while Miami Vice only managed one better with three correct predicitions.

  • Decision specialist Lyoto Machida provided seven different posters with twenty points as Enter Blue Guy, LBTN Killed Monkey?, desired toe, Natural Born Thrilla, Takayamanofear, crazedfan and Raistlin all predicted he would pick up the victory via decision over Sam Hoger.

A big thanks to all those that took part this time around and I hope you'll all be back for the next round of predicitions for the March 3rd show, UFC: 68 'The Uprising', where Octagon legend 'Captain America' Randy 'The Natural' Couture will take on UFC Heavyweight Champion 'The Maine-iac' Tim Sylvia; Matt Hughes takes on Chris 'Lights out' Lytle and Jason Lambert tangles with 'Babulu' Sobrai.

Oh and tell everyone you know to join in next time (Y)

Finishes killed me, Machida knocked Hogar down three seperate times in the first round but couldn't finish he should have been able to easily get the TKO in Round One, but just couldn't get it done, and then had him mounted in the third.

Oh well, overall throughout the year I'm 13-4 with UFC 68 coming up on March 3rd, the main event is a scary fight to predict.

It may well be. But nothing in the world could ever make me back anyone but Captain America.

And yeah, the finishes to matches makes the predicitions a little trickier, but they do open up the competition to other people a little more. However, after a couple of shows I'll begin to seperate posters that are drawing by their correct match result predicitions ratio, which will highlight the difference between those that can pick the winners and those that have gotten lucky with the finishes to the matches.
