Tap or Snap will be a real world mod for WMMA. Obviously the game is in the early stages, but with such an in-depth game it doesn't hurt to start the process early. Below you will find a list of contributors.

ACCBiggz - Lead Updater

JoeMimic - Mimic's Everyones Abilities

Cole - Jack of All Trades, Master at None

Natural Born Thriller - British Consultant

Norris - Graphics Legend

First things first, I will need to compile what promotions will be in the game world, obviously UFC/PRIDE/IFL/etc will be in so if you know of smaller organizations please post them too. I'll also be posting a list of fighters, so please be paitent before you request a certain fighter to be in. I'll be looking to add more contributors to the team, but not too many. I'll be looking for a person to make pic packs and such. I will however need any and all information you might know about contracts (How long and who to). I know some, but having all of the information prior to release date will only help the process go quicker.

As we do not know what stats and promotions can be simulated by the game right now, some of these may not make the final game. But as we compile a complete list of promotions and fighters this will turn into a great in-depth mod that will take time to complete. Also remember that as the game devolops, we will learn more of what will be in, in terms of stats and basically everything, also realize that as devolopment continues that the world of MMA continues and some changes may have to be made (Fighters potentially retiring, returning, title changes, fighter changes, etc).

Bolded are ones that are done (for now), and with PRIDE going to change its weight classes and most others already being the same as the UFC, there is no need for seperate ones as of right now.

bodogFIGHT (St. Petersburg, Russia)

Cage Rage (London, England)

Elite Xtreme Combat (Southaven, Mississippi)

Icon Sport (Honolulu, Hawaii)

International Fight League (Atlantic City, New Jersey)

King of the Cage (Fontana, CA)

K-1 Hero's (Saitama, Japan)

Pancrase (Tokyo, Japan)

PRIDE Fighting Championships (Tokyo, Japan)

Rumble on the Rock (Hilo, Hawaii)

Shooto (Tokyo, Japan)

Strikeforce (San Jose, California)

TKO Major League MMA (Montreal, Quebec, Canada)

Ultimate Fighting Championships (Las Vegas, Nevada)

World Extreme Cagefighting (Lemoore, California)

Note: I know some of these are not correct, it is just where they have held the majority of the events if I could not quickly find their offices (aka bodogFIGHT).

Edit: Added members to the team, and took out Ring of Fire. ROF isn't as nationally known as Strikeforce.

As of right now I'm asking help from everyone. With the ever changing rosters I would like to make sure that as of right now the UFC/PRIDE rosters are ok. Maybe I put someone in the wrong weight class, maybe someone isn't there, or maybe someone is missing. Please report any and all to me, or if you have a question as to why I have put someone where they are... I'll answer a few just in case right now.

BJ Penn

He moves up and down in weight class, but he has stated he wants to hold every belt, and he is currently a TUF5 Lightweight coach and going to fight Jens Pulver at Lightweight again, so one can only imagine he'll remain at his more suited weight and earn a shot at Sean Sherk later.

Matt Serra

Only took the TUF4 part because if he won he got a title shot, and he did. If he loses he has stated he plans to return to 155.

Marvin Eastman/Sean Salmon

Both recently stated they are moving down to Middleweight.

Mac Danzig

Should he be in King of the Cage? He was only on PRIDE 33 which was in Las Vegas, but wasn't sure is he signed a longer fight deal or just a one fight thing as it was in America.

I more or less know I included most of the UFC roster, it is more with PRIDE that I have trouble. Because they continuously bring in talent for one show and then not again, and fighters such as Frank Trigg who work for them as an announcer, fighter, but also fights (and holds a title) in another organization. So if WMMA has open contracts I'll be able to have him work for both still, but just in case I figure he would in fact choose PRIDE over ICON so I put him on PRIDE's roster.

The more you know and report, the better this will be. Thanks. :)

Right then, I've done a bit of work here. I've seperated the fighters out into their different weight classes from the weights given on Sherdog. I couldn't find the Cage Rage weight classes anywhere, so I've used the UFC ones. I've stuck as much information on with the fighters as well to help you later on. I've done the entire roster so you can use the ones you don't put on the Cage Rage roster as freelancers or whatever if you need to fill up the database. Dates for the last fights are in the American date format.

If you need anything else, gimme a shout.

Thanks, any help is appriciated from you, EBG, etc that I know... know their stuff.

Edit: after quickly going over their roster, you may want to trim some of them. Chris Lytle is just UFC now, Lindland and such may stay, but if you want to do CR's roster, check the last time they fought for them.

The following are the official guidelines for making WMMA fighter pictures. We are announcing these now, well in advance of the game's release, so that people have plenty of time to put together their picture packs.

Each fighter should have two pictures, a head shot and an upper body shot.

Head Shot - This should be 300x300 pixels, and be of the fighter's face (the same as the pictures used in TEW). It should be in GIF format.

Upper Body Shot - This should be 440x610 pixels, in GIF format, and be of the fighter from the waist up (ideally the picture should cut off just below the hips - for an ideal example, please see any of Undertaker666's picture in the render thread). In order for it to look good in the game, it is highly recommended that the camera is not tilted at all. This is because the pictures are often used side-by-side in the game, to show who the two opponents are, and if one is shown slightly from above or below, it causes an odd visual.

Please note that the head shot does not have to be taken from the same picture as the upper body shot, there is no requirement for them to match.

The following are lead artist Steve Smith's notes on how to get the best from your pictures.

1. Daz Studio users should render the image as a .png file on a black background otherwise when you save the .png as a .gif you'll have white 'bits' all around the character. I don't know if that's the case for Poser because I don't use it.

2. Any post-render work should be done on the .png file; saving the file to .gif should only be done at the final stage - see point 3.

3. Don't save a .gif more than once, it compresses the file more and more so it increases the 'jagginess' around the fighter so that it's really noticeable.

4. The pictures don't necessarily have to be 'face on' with the camera as some MMA promo shots are from the side with the guy looking at the camera. Just as long as the picture is in portrait format (ie. no kicking poses, etc.) it should be fine.

NB: Guidelines for the graphics to do with companies, such as logos, will follow at a later date.

Why or how could it be dead? The game is not out yet, and there isn't much to report on.

PRIDE is still in limbo, they have still been negotiating a TV deal in Japan which is why it has not held any shows and is the major hang up. I'm sure the talent going to the UFC because of this is to keep them active and so forth. They will probably stay in the UFC, but I don't think PRIDE is dead as they still want to use a lot of Japanese talent and use the Japan market. As for their talent, they were all free agents after being bought out anyway and the ones that have signed have had fights or have scheduled fights inside the UFC so they will be there.
