Leeds to be financially challenged

Recommended Posts

The name rings a bell, but I expect Revie/Morris/Franks/The Arab will buy us. So long as someone buys us; I won't be bothered if it's Ridsdale - so long as he fucks off before he can spend any money.

I think Krasner said that Morris and Revie (along with possibily Pearson) may join forces to make a super consortium. That would be a good short term option but I'd question their long term ambitions significantly. I'd like to see us go Redbus route, seems the safest bet. Other thing I found out is we can't negoicate sponsorships in administration, so we may do a Barca and play without one

We've already got a deal with Safestyle UK. And I'd heard about the Revie/Morris consortium, but it sort of died away quickly and was replaced with the Revie/Sheikh theory; so long as they save my team I'm not fussed.

Edit: I'm inclined to think Revie might buy us, or at least bid, I can't see him wanting to let the club his dad spent 10 years of his life building up die.

Leeds United has been resold to former owner Ken Bates for an undisclosed sum.

The move comes five days after Leeds' administrators, KPMG, said they were selling the club because of a legal challenge from HM Revenue & Customs.

HM Revenue & Customs had mounted a legal bid to block Mr Bates' earlier attempt to buy back the club and give its creditors just 8p in every £1.

It is currently unknown how much of Leeds United's £35m debt Mr Bates now intends to pay off.

KPMG had earlier said that unless the club was able to leave administration, the Football League may not let it start the season.
