Haha, I saw this guy a while ago and thought he was hilarious. There aren't too many videos of him around though.

I caught his Comedy Central special and thought it was pretty good, though I'm hesitant of picking up his CD because I'm not sure how his comedy would translate audio-only.

I'm only on track three but it's totally worth it. He's good with the guitar stuff, when I usually hate the kind of stuff in comedy.. and he's also a good random comment guy, Mitch Hedberg would be proud.

I've listened to his album multiple times at a friends house and laughed each time. I absolutely love Demetri, especially the bit with Will Forte at the end of the album. Sheer genius.

IDM mentioned him to me which got me to download one of his stand up routines. IDM said that a lot of people didn't know who he was as most people only give a damn about Dana Carvey as of late, but I listened to him and I know why most people don't really care about him. Most of the entire routine I listened to, which was a comedy central presents special I believe, was stolen from the now deceased Mitch Hedberg.

The only stuff I've heard from him is his Comedy Central Presents which I have on my iPod. It's really good stuff, but if I do look for the album, I'm hoping not much of his material from the CCP show will be on his album, but I'm guessing it will.

Oh and SKA, there's a joke or two but a lot of his CCP stuff was visual and he's sensitive to that on the CD.

I wish I could show you on youtube but I can't find the CCP for Demetri. One of his jokes was

"Some people like lollipops. I don't like them because to me, lollipops are hard candy plus garbage. I don't need a handle. Just give me the candy."

The only word he changed was lollipops when Mitch says Suckers. There's also the joke about how your footwear determines your whole day. If you wear sandals, you're saying "I hope I don't get chased today"

There's a few more and listening to it the second time, he doesn't steal as many jokes as I thought he did.

"I started using a product called "I can't believe it's not butter" because when I'm eating toast, I like to feel incredulous."

Mitch uses surprised instead of Incredulous. This was something I heard while typing the above. His delivery is so much like Mitch's.

The only thing that I ever saw similar was their delivery, and I've seen the lollipops thing that you're talking about... never heard Hedberg do it though. I've heard all his CDs and scanned everything I could... hmm that's odd.

I'm looking for Mitch's version of the lollipop joke on youtube...and if I find anything else as well.

I'm a big big fan of Demetri, and if you are a fan of comedy then you'll love his cd. Best track is the Personal Information Waltz.
