Scanline Packs and Brushes

Hey guys, I hope you can help.

I've just downloaded some Scaline Packs from DeviantArt, but have no idea how to open them or anything. They are .pat files, and my PC doesn't know what program to open them with, and PS doesn't come up as an option when I select 'Choose program from a list'. So yeah, I need help with this.

Also, I just downloaded a Grunge Brush, and again, nor me or my computer has a clue.

Can someone shed some light?

Copy them into your photoshop folder, go to presets>brushes for the brushes and to presets>patterns for the brushes. I might be wrong about the exact location, but it's in the Photoshop folder in your program files.
