A new name and some new rules. Welcome to the Arena.

This will be the area of the Dome where battles happen. Anytime you want to call someone out for their lack of skills, or just want to freshen up your own, do it here.

Also, the King of the Dome competition will be expanded to encompass the entire year, one challenge per month. In the even-numbered months, the challenges will be diary-related. Present some portion of your diary(ies) from the last three months and see who's got serious game. This can be best match, best promo, WORST promo, whatever I come up with that month. Judges (a different group each month) will decide the winners, and points go to the top 5, like so:

1st Place = 10 pts.

2nd Place = 8 pts.

3rd Place = 6 pts.

4th Place = 4 pts.

5th Place = 2 pts.

Odd-numbered months will see a little freestyle writing, kind of like the Rumble or Elimination Chamber competitions. A different gimmick match will be on display, and 6-10 entrants (plus 2 alternates, more on that below) will get to show how well they can put together one of that kind of match. Could be anything from Bra and Panties (for DA PERVS, like Sousa...ogle the lesbos and don't wish me a happy birthday, why don'tcha <_< ) to Hell in a Cell. If you've never done one, it can be good practice. If you think you kick ass at it, prove it. Matches will be put up anonymously for public vote (no judges this time), and points are awarded based on how your total stacks up, like so:

1st Place = 20 pts.

2nd Place = 18 pts.

3rd Place = 16 pts.

...

10th Place = 2 pts.

Alternates may be called into action if one of the main entrants has to pull out for any reason. Alternates who get an entry in get five points even if their work is not used, plus they get guaranteed admission into the next writing challenge. If their work is used, they get five points OR the amount awarded for their finish, whichever is higher. If you need to pull out and an alternate steps up to cover, you are safe from time off. If there is no alternate to cover for you, it's five days of no posting.

For making it all the way through the recently finished KOTD tourney, St. Dubb and En Dub already have a leg up. The current standings:

King of the Dome Standings:
St. Dubb--30 pts.
En Dub--15 pts.

Come January, we do another Rumble. The winner there will automatically join the top five scorers for the year in doing a winner-take-all Money in the Bank match in March. Winner there becomes the NEW King of the Dome.

After all that, the King will get:

--Three pinnings to use at his discretion throughout the following year (pin your own shit or just something you really dig);

--A Hall of Fame ballot;

--And his choice of two DOUBLE ballots for the Power 25, in which all his votes will be counted twice, or three chances to vote for his own work (third-place or lower, please).

Essentially, the chance is there to throw some weight around, and who doesn't like to do that?

Oh, yeah, almost forgot. Like I said, if anyone should see fit to throw down in an old-fashioned battle, that can be done here. The contestants can choose to do unranked battles (you post, the public votes) or ranked battles (PM the battles to me, I post, the public votes, and 10 KOTD points are awarded to the winner).
