According to NME Bloc Party are to release a brand new album this Thursday in the form of a MP3 download at a cost of £5. A CD version will follow in October.

I'm not huge on "Mercury", but I've loved everything Bloc Party have done. People are moaning that it's 'too soon' and probably going to suck, but Bloc Party have always had b-sides that are fucking amazing, and their last album was fucking incredible, I have hope in it. Word has it it's similar in stye to "Mercury"...grrr...still, I have hope.

It better leak before I go to Leeds though. Grrrrrr.

Fuck yes. Awesome, it's a big soon, but I'm not worreid about the quality of the disc becasue of timing. Like you've said I've always loved Bloc Party, and I thought the sophmore album was a good strong follow up. I'm haven't even run my course on it, I'm gonna have to start out playing that shit!

So, ironically I just heard Mercury. Not their best song, I must concur I'm not to huge on it.
