There's no such thing as "smouth" colors in Photoshop. So they either full of donkey poo poo or they meant something else, if that helps ya any.

What you can do is lower the opacity n your lettering if you want. I suggest using Adobe Illustrator instead of Photoshop, for text though. You'll find yourself with a lot more options.
