Red Alert 3

So.

Whether I buy this game is not an issue. What I'm wondering is whether there's any conceivable reason why I might want to buy it on the 360 or PS3 as opposed to the PC.

I suppose this can best be answered by those who have played Tiberium Wars on the 360. Is playing this sort of game on consoles still as counter-intuitive as it used to be (*remembers trying to play Red Alert on the PS1*), or have they invented neat ways around this which allow the console's benefits of being played on a big TV from a comfy sofa to come into play?

You might find this useful: http://arstechnica.com/journals/thumbs.ars...berium-wars-360

And if you don't want to click:

For the most part, C&C3 controls in the same way that BMFE2 (Battle for Middle Earth 2) did: the left analog stick is your mouse-cursor and the right analog stick controls the camera while the face-buttons and shoulder buttons manipulate the various menus. After selecting a unit or building with A, you hold down the right trigger to bring up the menus, which are navigated with the d-pad. You can assign groups, use powers and execute the other various actions necessary for combat. Handily, holding down the left-trigger allows you to select all the on-screen units. By combining the left-trigger with the group/bookmark system, it's very possible to achieve a level of organization and speed approaching that which would be possible with the mouse, but naturally, the controls are not equivalent. Still, besides the really-sensitive analog control (which will assumedly be adjustable in the final version), I really don't mind the controls.

I think he messed up with the acronym for the other EA Game (Battle for Middle Earth).
