1980s Scenario

I was interested in playing a game based in the mid-80s and downloaded both the 1985 & '86 scenarios. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. I mean, $60-95,000 for guys with Overness in the 30s & 40s? So I decided, if I want something playable, I'm going to have to either do a lot of modifications or create one from scratch myself.

The idea I have is to make a generic "1980s" scenario, where the exact year isn't set in stone and anyone can come along and start it out in any year they wanted to and still be rather satisfied with how it's all set-up. Would anyone be interested in something like this? Any suggestions for workers/staff/promotions?

There has been something like this in the past, called Best of the 80s. It might still be floating around somewhere, though now that I think of it I don't know if it made it as far as EWR 4.2.
