WCW 2001 scenarios- help wanted

Recommended Posts

I was looking for some help/input on 2 related scenarios that I am working on.

Both would be 2001 WCW scenarios, one looking at things from the perspective of WCW owned by Fuscient and run by Eric Bischoff. The other would be looking at the WCW as owned by Shane McMahon, but keeping it seperate from WWF.

The basic roster that I would use for both would be the talent that WWE signed when they bought the WCW, since they all had contracts that were reasonable. The 30 names that would be the base for either scenario would be:

Mike Awesome, Hugh Morrus, Lance Storm, Chavo Guerrero Jr, Shawn Stasiak, Johnny the Bull, Shane Helms, Shannon Moore, Evan Karagias, Chuck Palumbo, Sean O'Haire, Mike Sanders, Mark Jindrak, Elix Skipper, Alan Funk, Lash LeRoux, The Wall, Kaz Hayashi, Jimmy Yang, Jamie Knoble, Stacey Keibler, Reno, EZ Money, Kid Romeo, Diamond Dallas Page, Billy Kidman, Torrie Wilson, Booker T, Sharmell

That is where the help comes in though, as far as who else should make up the rosters either way. I am trying to work with the contracts under AOL Time/Warner being kept in place, which I have found info of these:

WCW Contracts

Bam Bam Bigelow November 2001

Bill Goldberg Summer 2002

Buff Bagwell March 2003

Disco Inferno March 2002

Ed Ferrara October 2001

Gene Okerlund October 2002

Kevin Nash December 2001

Lex Luger August 2001

Rey Mysterio Jr. June 2002

Ric Flair February 2002

Sam Greco October 2003

Shane Douglas April 2002

Sting April 2002

Rick Steiner November 2001

Scott Steiner November 2001

Some of the top "Free Agents" that I would consider to fill in the roster either way would be:

Rob Van Dam

Tommy Dreamer

Curt Hennig

Dustin Rhodes (Goldust)

Hulk Hogan

Kid Kash

Danny Doring

Roadkill

KroniK(Bryan Clark/Brian Adams)

Big Vito

I am looking to try to keep the roster at about 50 or so. I look forward to hearing good suggestions on both sides of things.

Buff Bagwell signed with the WWE in real life, so no reason not to include him. Also, there were rumors that Rob Van Dam had agreed to a deal with WCW at the time. Kid Kash would be a decent one to include, he was already part of WCW's cruiserweight divsion as Cash.
