Pakistan vs New Zealand Tests/ODIs Thread

A good win for Pakistan the other night. Too bad I fell asleep and missed most of Pakistan's chase! Great start for Pakistan tonight as well. 182/3 after 36 overs. Well deserved century for Ahmed Shahzad. It is only his 8th ODI so far but he has looked really good so far. In 8 innings he has 4 scores of 40+ as well a 25 not out off of 16 balls in the match that ended up being abandoned.

What has gotten into the Kiwis though? Their bowling lineup seems average at best right now and their batting doesn't scare me one bit either.

And that's the game. Comfortable in the end for Pakistan. NZ threatened a late fightback when Oram was in, but it wasn't long before he slogged and got caught.

I take it Vettori was injured for this game? He didn't look comfortable at all in the last ODI.

Yeah, they said it was a hamstring injury. At this point I'm expecting him to miss games in the World Cup. He hasn't been fit at all during this series versus Pakistan.

Good win for Pakistan, unfortunately I fell asleep again! I was up until the 2nd wicket fell in the Kiwi inning but fell asleep around that time (1:30 AM).

That's been the case for a while now. Vettori aside, their bowling lineup is fairly average with no real standouts. As for batsmen, only Taylor, Oram and McCullum have been particularly impressive. They always play better against Australia though >_<

Good win for them tonight. Ryder was solid but it looks like he hurt his hamstring. Needed a runner for the 2nd half of his innings. Oram also didn't play tonight and he had a MRI today. The Kiwis are limping in to the World Cup.
