Never, ever use a bevel on text. Other than that, these look good, especially if you're just getting used to Photoshop.

Whilst I don't agree with the "never ever" use of bevel on text, I do agree it does mostly look terrible. People, especially those who are new at Photoshop, see it and think it looks awesome and use it for everything. I know I was one of them.

If you do use bevel, try softening it a little or just generally playing around with the sliders.

Regarding your work, I think I prefer the first CM Punk image, but not cure why. More colour I think. Even if the text wasn't bevelled, I prefer the first Kick-Ass banner without the blood. The colour of the blood just distracts for me and it looks better as a more two-tone vibe. And I can't think of anything wrong with the Joker banner.
