I don't think Ryan's going anywhere at the minute... Carlyle out and Boudreau in at Anaheim.

As Greg Wyshynski said - "I've gone longer without bowel movements than Boudreau went without a head coaching gig"

Not sure if you said that before or after it happened, but you nailed it on the head.

Ducks fire Randy Carlyle, hire Bruce Boudreau: http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=604070

Bobby Ryan is off the market: http://www.nhl.com/ice/blogpost.htm?id=4485

Well, generally speaking if a team is struggling you change the roster OR you change the coach - so given that Carlyle had been fired, it stands to reason that they wouldn't trade Ryan as well.

Unless of course you're talking about Casey Stengel...

In 1925 he was hitting only .077 when the Braves sent him to Worcester, Massachusetts, as player-manager and president. Casey played in 100 games and batted .320. He led the team from last place to third while entertaining the fans with his run-ins with the umpires. When an opportunity arose to take over as manager of the Toledo Mud Hens, manager Stengel released himself as a player, and then president Stengel fired himself as manager.
