So I picked up the Pumpkins return album, and I must say, it was better than I had expected. After lackluster efforts from The Stooges and Bad Brains, I was expecting this return to be half-assed as well but Coragan and the gang (Minus James Iha) did a good fucking job. I boguht tickets to their show here in Las Vegas, and I am extremely excited. I had heard that Coragan was trying to be a little bit more optomistic and happy when writing the lyrics for this one, but listening to it makes me happy to know that Billy is just as depressed as hes always been.
****1/2
Key Tracks:
Doomsday Clock
Tarantula
Bleeding The Orchid
For God and Country

I think the song they did with Iggy Pop "Little Know it All" was good thus I have a very small margin of respect for them.

I've been desperately looking for new rap that has a poetic side, like rap used to. Unfortunately, it's hard to find.
Check out Blue Scholars. They're a Seattle duo that is absolutely fantastic right now.

As long as Ghostface Killah keeps churning out albums I will be happy.

And how could I forget Immortal Technique?

Tech N9ne has only one good album "Absolute Power" last I saw he cut off the orange spikes, braided it, and signed to a new label.
