  1. You said you understood the reasoning behind it, the reasoning being he didn't believe his offense could stop the Colts no matter where they were on the field. You have Tom Brady, Wes Welker, Randy Moss and three yards to go. He took a chance and it almost worked. Again I think the defense screwed up by stopping Addai on the one yard line and would have given them over a minute to get a field goal. He wasn't trying to prove he was a genius since apparently everyone thinks it was a dumb move. He probably talked with Tom Brady and Brady probably assured him they would get it. He had more faith in his offense then his defense at the end of the game, it's that simple.

  2. Piss poor offense and defense at the end of the game lost it for us, not bad play calling.

Sorry but no. Bad play calling did lose you the game because that was a horrendous play call, regardless of Manning's ability or not. You don't give any QB, much less Peyton Manning of all people, the ball back within the 30 yard line. I understand the reasoning behind the play call but that doesn't make it any less dumb.

If you understand the reasoning behind why is it still dumb? It's dumb because it didn't work because the offense couldn't get three yards.

  3. In hindsight he should have punted it but the way the defense played at the end I can't blame him. He probably had more faith in his offense getting three yards then his defense stopping Manning. If they pick up the first down it's genius, if they don't everyone says it was a bad call. I think he just wanted to end the game then and there.

I was kind of pissed they didn't just let Addai run it into the endzone at the end there. That would have given the Patriots a minute something and one timeout to get in field goal range. Instead, the stopped them at the one and let the Colts run the clock down. That was the shitty play if you ask me. (N)

Should have been called "The John Cusack Running From Crap Film". After about the third scene of an airplane taking off as the runway below it crumbles, you start to realize this movie is the same scene over and over again in a different location. I'd give it a zero but the special effects were mostly good and the scene with Yellowstone exploding was pretty amazing. But other then that this movie was garbage.

Okay so they've been selling these tickets for the arks to the worlds wealthiest people to "preserve our species". Fine, but when you look at the people who will be able to afford the prices they were charging...WHO IS GOING TO REBUILD THE WORLD SO THE SPECIES GETS PRESERVED!!! I mean seriously the brightest minds never thought, "Hey maybe we should save a few those Chinese workers because it appears they can build things really well and that might come in handy."

Also what we found funny was at one point one of the good characters says something like "you could fit 10 people in here!" when he see's his private room on the ark. Yet even after they let all these other people on board, at the end it's just him and the President's daughter in the room. Where are they having the other people sleep? Captain even says they are way over compacity, so what the hell? Did they build extra rooms that could house tens of thousands just in case? Ugh!

  5. Lets just relax on that last play. It was a fumble since the ball was stripped....if he had dropped it then you would have an argument. Doesn't matter if his arm was going forward since it was stripped. Yes, the play should still have been reviewed though. I'm surprised a penalty wasn't called on that punt return.....I was sure he didn't give him 2 yards to catch the ball.

Edit: Just watched the play again....definitely is a fumble.

Well at least I'm not the only one who thinks so.

  6. Can somebody please explain to me how the fuck Warner's arm wasn't going forward on that fumble? Jesus fucking christ. -.-

I believe it was because the Steelers player had knocked the ball loose already prior to his arm going forward.

  7. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is a movie I want to destroy and get rid of.. the praise it's getting is just plain stupid. Clint Eastwood needed to be on the best actor category, according to some sources, it's his last movie. As much as I loved every single second of The Wrestler, Rourke won't win it because Oscars are biased. Golden Globes are biased towards Tom Cruise, they <3 him. It's pretty clear the Penn will win... I think he didn't win the Globe because he didn't show up.

What do you got against Benjamin Button besides it's praise?

And as much as I liked Gran Torino, Clint Eastwood's acting in it was really not much of a stretch for him. And just because it maybe his last starring role why does that make him deserve a nomination over other actors?

How are the Oscar's biased against Mickey Rourke?

And a couple of actors/actresses won Golden Globes who didn't show up, why and how would they keep him from winning?

  8. Wow, I expected to open this topic to find it full of people bitching about how The Dark Knight/The Wrestler/Iron Man/Whatever didn't earn more nominations, and I'm glad that I didn't find too much of it. It always bugs me when the fanboys complain, they're often way too blind to even recognize the merits of other movies, let alone appreciate them.

Hardly. Like I said I've seen The Reader and thought it in no way was better a picture then The Dark Knight or The Wrestler.

Yeah, Springsteen really got robbed here.

  9. I think the big shocker is Downey's best support actor nom. A lot of people were saying the Academy wouldn't really recognize it since it was in a comedy. Also I've seen The Reader and thought it sucked. That really should have been The Dark Knight or Wall*E's spot.

I'm glad Hellboy 2 got some recognition in the make-up field.

  10. Ok, I do have a complaint about the ending. It's a real simple one and had it been done differently the real ending wouldn't probably bother as many people.

The problem: "The Black Hole" What do I mean? I mean right after the last shot where there is between 20-25 seconds before the credits start. It was far too much time for it to be there and left viewers expecting another scene. If it had been down to about 10 seconds then it wouldn't have been as bad. The audience would've gotten the effect better and it wouldn't have seemed anywhere near as awkward as it did.

Other than that, it was a great movie.

I loved that though. Really let the moment resonate more then if it immediately cut to the credits.

  11. Haven't seem Slumdog Millionaire, nor do I want to, so too much love to them as far as I'm concerned.

That's a shame, it really is one of the best movies of the year.

If you haven't seen it and you don't want to see it, how do you know it was too much?

  12. Falcons have been pretty terrible on the road this season so I can't say I'm shocked. I think the Falcons will will be back next year though whereas The Cardinals probably won't so if I was a Falcons fan I wouldn't be too disheartened.
