  1. Why is everyone against Chelsea? Must be jealousy or something... <_<

More like the fact that they're a bunch of cocky cunts and that if it wasn’t for Ambramovich's millions, they'd be in a lot lower plateau than they are at the minute.

Quadruple? Chelsea will be lucky enough to win the Premiership at this rate.

And I'm not too concerned about the Carling Cup. If we win it, great. If we don't, it's not the end of the world.

What I am concerned about, is that we're 45 mins away from a third consective defeat. And that spells trouble. :crying:

  3. This season has really been a bad one for you guys.

    Campbell is rarely 100% fit

    Reyes and (presumably)Cole are unsettled

Vieira hasn't shown his past form

    Gilberto's injury

    Lehmann and Aluminium

IMO, the main reason why your defence is leaking goals left, right and center, is down to Sol Campbell. He has struggled with injury, and he is not in good form understandably. The Arsenal defence really misses him. Not that having calamities like Lehmann helps either....

  4. Well, Chelsea were totally outplayed in the game, I admit that, but their play struck a resemblance to the play we saw Porto played in the CL last season. They were very defensive, soaked up the pressure, got long balls to Deco at the other end, and let him try and create something. And I had a feeling during the match that, even though we were outplayed, we have a 1-goal lead, and we could at least take a 1-1 draw back to Stamford Bridge. That is, until the sending off of Drogba.

    Chelsea to file Barca complaint

Chelsea have revealed they are to make a formal complaint to Uefa after an incident at half time during their clash with Barcelona.

The Blues did not send a representative from their coaching staff to attend the post-match press conference after their defeat at Camp Nou, and instead released a statement.

"First of all our apologies that there are no members of the Chelsea management team or players talking after this game," stated spokesperson Simon Greenberg.

"We will be submitting an official complaint to UEFA about an incident that occurred at half time. That's all I can say."

It is believed that The Blues were left incensed by contact between Barcelona boss Frank Rijkaard and referee Anders Frisk as the two teams headed up the tunnel at half time.

Undoubtedly Chelsea were far from happy with Frisk's subsequent decision to send Didier Drogba off in the second period, but the exact nature of their complaint is sure to come to light in the near future.

  5. The biggest match IMO, is not Juventus/Madrid, is not Liverpool/Leverkusen, it's Barcelona vs Chelsea :D

Both teams are top of the Spanish Primera Liga and English Premiership respectively, and both have had their ups and downs. It will be a tight affair, and I hope our injury-wrecked squad is able to continue our Champions League dreams.

    Come on Chelsea!!!

  6. I think the team did pretty well, considering that we had to play with 10 men for almost the entire second half when Bridge got stretched off. Kezman was really unlucky for his lob to beat Given, but not the crossbar.

Oh well, you win some, you lose some. Bring on Barca!!!

  7. Bridge makes Cole vow

Wayne Bridge insists he is not fazed by talk of a possible Chelsea move for Arsenal's Ashley Cole, and has vowed not to give up his place at Stamford Bridge without a fight.

With a Chelsea delegation reported to have met with Cole last month to sound out The Gunners star about a move across London, question marks had inevitably been raised over Bridge's first-team future.

However, the former Southampton star claims he has not been affected by the speculation, and would not seek a move - whoever Jose Mourinho might choose to sign.

"I've not spoken to Ashley and I've not spoken to the manager about what he might do in the future or if the stories are true," Bridge told the Daily Mirror. "I don't want to know.

"But I do know the gaffer wants two class players for each position. I know he's going to bring someone in and I'll compete with them, whoever it is.

"Even if Ashley did end up coming here - and I haven't a clue about that - I'll stay and fight for my place.

"I'm confident about myself and my game at the moment. I had a few injuries at the start of the season and a few poor performances and was out of the team. But I'm back in now, confident and I want to keep playing.

"Whoever comes in I'm going to compete with them and play as many games as possible.

"I just want to get on with my football and see what happens, but there's nowhere better to be at the moment than Chelsea and I won't be going anywhere."

Meanwhile, Chelsea are reported to be lining up a raid on Bridge's former club, Southampton, for youngster Theo Walcott.

The 15-year-old winger, who plays for England's Under-17 team, caught the eye earlier in the week by scoring the goal that dumped Arsenal out of the FA Youth Cup on Tuesday.

Blues boss Mourinho is understood to have been impressed with the teenager and is plotting a move to lure him to Stamford Bridge, although The Blues are likely to face a hefty compensation fee.

  8. Neville in local talent pledge

Gary Neville has insisted Manchester United would never follow the lead of bitter rivals Arsenal by fielding a squad comprised entirely of foreign players.

The Gunners made history earlier in the week by naming a squad without one British player for their match with Crystal Palace.

That move has drawn criticism from many quarters, and even a warning from Uefa that Arsenal will have their UEFA Champions League squad reduced if they do not comply with the proposed quota scheme.

In a veiled swipe at the policy of the North Londoners, Neville claims it is not an issue that will ever arise at Old Trafford as the implementation of local talent is integral to the club's success.

"There will always be local lads - there has to be," Neville told One United magazine.

"It's so important and while this manager is in charge of the club, that is never going to change.

"We've players from countries all around the world making up the squad now, but any manager who takes charge here in the future will have to have local lads in the team.

"I don't think any manager coming here would be brave enough not to bring through young local players, because the fans demand it.

"It's traditions like that, and of course playing attacking football, which makes Manchester United so popular across the country and around the world."
