  1. Pfft, Summers' MySpace is clearly late, I did one of these on mine weeks ago. Now, if I can actually find it... it was a bulletin, not a blog. Bah, it was more than 10 days ago, and my music library's on the other computer. If I was to do it now, it would be a mix of a couple of Toto songs, "Hello" by Lionel Richie, "Battle Metal" and a few wrestling themes.

EDIT: I remember a few of them though, it came out really freaky, like birth of child, "Beautiful Son" by Cave In, "Eternal Rest" by Avenged Sevenfold for death scene, "Run to the Hills" by Iron Maiden for the final battle... or the best one, Team America's "Everyone Has AIDS" for the end credits. There were more good ones as well, I'll maybe do it again later and see if it turns out as good.

  2. That's a pretty badass roster you've assembled for yourself there. I've not got a lot of time right now, so I'll wait until later on to predict, but :wub:s go out to Alex Shelley and Cheerleader Melissa especially.

    OK, prediction time!

    SJW Heavyweight Title Match

    Alex Shelley Vs. Jimmy Rave

Shelley looks like he'll be THE main star of the new SJW, and with good reason too.

Chucklez The Clown Vs. 'Primetime' Brian Lee

I wanna say that you'll put Chucklez over to try and make a new star, but I can't see past Brian Lee for this one.

High Society Vs. Onyx and Rainman

Team black <_< Can't beat a good bit of Rainman, not really a fan on Conrad Kennedy III.

Gavin Faulkner Vs. 'Canadian Dynamite' Maxime Boyer

No idea who either of these guys are, so I just randomly picked one.

The Lost Boyz Vs. Team X-JAPAN

While it may seem a little odd not to choose the international stars, I've just got a feeling Az and Gabe will take this one.

Cheerleader Melissa Vs. MsChif Vs. Mitsuko Toyoshima

As I've already said, Melissa

    Bonus Questions

    1) Which match will start the show? The Lost Boyz vs Team X-JAPAN

    2) Which match will get the highest overall rating? Alex Shelley vs Jimmy Rave

    3) Who will take the fall in the Women's match? Mitsuko Toyoshima

  3. One? Fuck, this could take me a while...

Right, 4 minutes in, and I think I'm gonna have to go with... nope, still can't.

OK, I got it. This may surprise some of you.

As much as I love Iron Maiden (so, so much), there is one album that ever so slightly stands out ahead of anything else, and that is Dream Theater's "Train of Thought". It's one of those albums that really needs to be just listened to, it's not something I can just have in the background, when I listen to "Train of Thought", everything else is in the background.

  4. I didn't watch WCW in 1996, but know all the abckground and characters, and you're portraying everyone perfectly. The first Pay-Per-View was really well booked and written, there's almost no flaws, the commentray is brilliant as well. Never a fan of match ratings being posted, but each to their own. The Nitros have been well written as well, and almost look as Nitro has been portrayed from that era (again I'll say I didn't watch back then). Really looking forward to the naxt Nitro as well. Malenko vs Guererro? Oh yeah!

My TOP TEN! goals in this diary are as follows, six reasonable and four for kicks:

    1. Give the old guard--Hogan, Flair, Savage, etc.--their last big angle. Yes, Hulk Hogan will be at the center of a lot of my booking, but bear in mind that he's going to be coming off of the biggest heel turn in wrestling history. This is a time when Hogan was everywhere--and it was definitely a good thing that he was!

Should give some good booking decisions. I like where it's gone already

    2. Book the nWo angle to seem like an actual invasion of WCW. Sorry, Big Bubba. Sorry, Scott Norton. No more open invitations to join the most elite group in wrestling. If you're in, you're in to further the angle. Simple as that.

This sounds great, and like the way it should have been done.

    3. Use the nWo invasion--as well as other angles--to encourage the growth of new, rising talent in WCW.

New talent should be interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing who comes through.

    4. Speaking of other angles, use other angles besides the nWo. Seriously, go back and watch those old Nitro tapes. Was anything else happening in WCW at the time? "Oh, look, Lord Steven Regal and Prince Iaukea wrestled to a time limit draw, and Disco Inferno can't figure out his new leg hold! The DRAMA!"

As big as the nWo was, I agree that I can't be all that's going on. Using the other talent is something I agree with wholeheartedly.

    5. No Ernest Miller. No Ernest Miller. No Ernest Miller. No Ernest Miller. No Ernest Miller.

    No explaination needed really!

    6. Encourage the growth of two of WCW's richest divisions at this time: the tag team division and the cruiserweight division. This was a great time for tag teams, but a few years later, WCW's tag team division would be essentially dead, and the cruisers wouldn't be far behind (No Ed Ferrera as Cruiserweight Champ this time around, jack!). '96 could've changed all that.

The cruisers were my favourite part when I watched WCW, even as a young mark. Looking forward to seeing how you utilise them. A strong tag team division is always good too.

    7. El Dandy vs. La Parka headlining a PPV? Do I smell ratings?

    :lmao:

    8. Give Glacier some time in a development territory and debut him. Successfully. With the same gimmick. I'm really going to challenge myself with this one.

    Again. No explaination necessary.

    9. Become the only diary left on the Dome where Samoe Joe isn't on the roster for no apparent reason other than he's in TNA and he's a great worker (It helps that he was 17 at the time, of course... )

That's fairly true actually. Guilty of that myself (2006 indy though!)

    10. Unmask Mr. JL. BAH GAWD, WHO COULD IT POSSIBLY BE!?

    Indeed!

  5. Right, the shows are very well written. Easy to read but with lots of detail. Like it al lot. The Road Agent notes are really good and you've got some good characters.

Ahmed Ashed is gold. He could be one of the best backyard characters around if written properly. I love him already. The Cutting Edge promo was very solid as well. There's a lot of good stuff here.

It's too early to talk about the overall booking of this, but I like the way it's going. Looking forward to the next show.

  6. 1. Mila Kunis (fuck the haters with sharp, rusty objects)

    2. Maria Kanellis

    3. Kelly Clarkson

    4. Amy Lee (Evanescence)

    5. Fearne Cotton

    6. Evangeline Lilly

    7. Rachel McAdams

    8. Jessica Alba

    9. Brittany Murphy

    10. Natalie Portman

    Negatives

    1. Lindsay Lohan (with big fucking bells on)

    2. Carly Pope (she's meh, but you're all overrating her)

    3. Paris Hilton

    4. Brooke Hogan

    5. Kou's mum <_<

  7. OK, I'll start from the top.

I really like Matt Striker in WWE with the teacher gimmick. I enjoy Matt Striker's ring work. But Matt Striker, the wrestler, not Matt Striker the teacher who cheats to win, should be in ROH. The Teacher Invitational is such a sports entertainment thing to do, not a Ring of Honor thing. Having said that, it's still a Striker push, I'll be content to see where it goes.

As much as I love Alex Shelley, I don't think him beating Daniels would spell the end for Daniels. Unless Daniels is retiring in the game, I can't think of a reason why you would say he passed the torch. Fact is, Daniels has always been a company man for ROH, he's never been the top star, he's never been the champion, so in that way it doesn't even make sense that he would pass the torch. Again though, I'll wait and see where it goes.

I don't understand the reasoning for the Pure title being brought back and put on Nigel, seemingly without any explanation. The title was dropped because the matches were getting too stale and predictable. However, I liked giving Nigel the win through the 'Eddie' route, it's just of the ways Nigel would have tried valiantly to keep the belt.

Homicide pinning Danielson makes some sense, but again, it seems like a more sports entertainment thing to do, 'I pinned the champion, I should get a title shot', but you've already said that Joe is the number one contender? Not sure I get the reasoning behind that.

Now that I've been through the booking, I'll get to the writing. Now I know writing out full shows takes a hell of a long time, even writing them shorter like the way I do, takes a lot of time. But these results look like they took 10 minutes to come up with. There needs to be some sort of detail to really attract people to read this, otherwise they're just going to take a look, and decide it's too little.

Overall, I thought the majority of the show was well booked, so you don't have any real problems there, but it's the lack of detail that is your main problem. Because of this, you have effectively made a show titled 'Unforgettable', rather forgettable.

  8. So dark... soooooooo dark. I loved it.

First off, great show with No More Angels. As much as I'd have loved to see Bloodbeard go over Deacon, I suppose it doesn't really matter that much in the grand scheme of things. Here I am, thinking about how the events of the show are going to affect the next show, but hell, when you killed the original SJW, I was totally shocked. Not that I knew it wasn't coming back :P but the point remains.

The murders... ah, the murders. Brilliantly written. I especially loved how, for that split second, I honestly thought you would just let Vinnie go, but... nah. Too much trouble to be kept alive, and while I'll miss the character a little bit, I loved the way he met his demise, and that means a lot more really.

I'm going to enjoy seeing who you get in to try and make the new SJW more legit. My guess would be guys like Walters, Whitmer, maybe some of the older guys that have been there recently, and it can't go down without Joey, surely. Right? Right? :crying:

  9. "Permission to Land" was like a greatest hits, they couldn't top anything after that. The second album was more of the same, only not as good. Actually, it was a bit shit.

Hell, all they were was a fad anyway, I saw them live on the 04 arena tour and they were crap. I'd forgotten they were even still together, so this isn't worth much to me.

  10. I'd like to congratulate Mick on a job well done without me; alas, I am unable to carry on. I've just got too much stuff going in real life just now, and I unfortunately cannot fully commit to this. Sorry to disappoint my Yakuza team-mates, and sorry to let Hamster down, but I can't devote my full attention to this. Sorry again.

Feel free to kill me off <_<

  11. Six Man Tag Match

"The Chosen One" Joey Sinclair, ?????, and ????? Vs. "Hurricane" John Walters, Honky Tonk Man, and Teh Mad Haxx0r

Can see Joey's team being on the losing side, mainly so that someone can get a title match and have actually deserved it.

    SJW PG13 Title Match

"Not So Nice" Guy Angelo Vs. Teh Mad Haxx0r©

Angelo's been on a bit of a roll lately, and I can't see Haxx0r winning both of his matches. The possiblity of a Haxx0r/Joey feud interests me, and it could be made if Haxx0r wins in the main event, but has dropped the lower title. Makes too much sense to me for it not to happen.

    Cutlass On A Pole Match

    Deacon Night Vs. Capn' Bloodbeard

    Pirates > emos.

Baxter Basics Vs. Doink The Clown

Not sure why, just have a feeling Baxter will pull a win out of somewhere.

    T-Jizzle Vs. Super Saiyan J

    Coin toss really.

    Bonus questions:

    1) Will Joey find himself partners? Yes

    2) If so, who will they be? BJ Whitmer and Jimmy Rave (Just totally guessed the 2nd one, a 3 vs 2 handicap match seemed more logical in a way)

    3) Who will take the fall in the six man tag match? Joey Sinclair

  12. YOU FUCKING BEAUTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I FUCKING LOVE YOU GARY CALDWELL, I FUCKING LOVE EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO PLAYED THEIR ARSES OFF FOR SCOTLAND TONIGHT, I FUCKING LOVE EVERY SINGLE MEMBER OF THE TARTAN ARMY WHO WAS THERE TO CHEER ON THE TEAM TONIGHT, I FUCKING LOVE YOU SCOTLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
