There are songs that remind me of people I used to (and sometimes still have) in my life. Not so much places, or things, but certainly of people.
Miracle by Vertical Horizon reminds me of my ex-girlfriend, Thea. Who is still in my life as a friend. That song was our song, since at the time we thought we had found our own miracles.
Follow Me by Uncle Kracker reminds me of my tryst with a then-married woman. It was the first song we ever sang along together to. On an interesting note, she's the first to tell me I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket.
Down in the Park by Gary Numan reminds me of one of my best friends whom I haven't heard from in awhile, Curt. He was heavy into the 'Goth' thing when he and I first met. We hung out a lot, and he was one of the few people whom I was never really overly emotional around. To this day, hearing Down in the Park calms me down to the point where I can function calmly, coolly and efficiently.
I'm sure there are more, but I either can't or don't want to recall them.
