  1. Also, of course there are few games for PS3 so far. Very similar to the usual pattern of games releases. Original X-Box hardly had the fastest line of game releases and neither did the N64 and both did okay. In fact if I remember rightly the PS2 was released with about half a dozen games!

To be fair, the 360 had Oblivion as a post-launch title, while the PS3 still has nothing.
  2. Well, Gillingham fought to a seventh place Premiership finish in our second season. Liverpool won the league and Newcastle finished fourth despite not really having a good squad at all.

Our reward? £1.3mil this season from the board which is £1.2mil more than I've ever had before. Funfun.

I've also just noticed how many free signings I've got coming for the new season - 17 year old attacking midfielder Alessandro Pellegrini from Milan who looks a class act, Scott Golbourne who's been at Reading, 28 year old defensive Midfielder Robert Zimmerman, a German who was released by Bayern, and Hatem Ben Arfa a 25 year old attacking midfielder released by Lyon.

Players about to retire from Gillingham are:

Goalie Kelvin Jack (hasn't played for about 4 seasons!), Gary Neville (central in our Championship survival and promotion), Keith Gillespie (same as Neville but also added to our First Division title), Damien Duff (just the one season with us and decided to retire. Good but plagued by injury), James Beattie (only scored 1 but didn't play all that much. I got annoyed when he decided to retire AFTER joining us).

Only one player scoring more than ten again last season - Jonny Dixon with 11. I need another striker as Torre, Aliadiere, Barnard and Pinto can't score. Gah.

Also, Anthony Le Tallec has become some kind of footballing genius.

  3. I hear from reliable sources that gamestation.co.uk will have Wii's available online at 10am tomorrow.

So be ready, because from my experience they sell out fast as fook. I'd sign up now if you want one, and log in well before 10 and just hope that the server doesn't crash this time.

  4. Emo girls are hot.

The drummer in my band is what we would call 'scene', he's also my girlfriends brother and occasionaly wears her skinny jean things.

    They look better on her.

So can some one eleborate the difference between emo and scene for me? I know emo (theres a goddamn lot of them round here <_< ), and im not sure if scene is something else, or just another name for it.

  5. All UK Wii's come with Wii Sport, any legitimaste UK site should not be able to sell a Wii without it.

If you do find one without Wii sports, then it's most likely imported.

Which site are you looking at?

  6. I have both, and as blasphemous as it seems to be to say, I prefer Enchanted Arms.

I just prefer the more linear epic story driven approach rather than the "do what you like, when you like" thing that oblivioon has. I'm also a big fan of turn based battle systems (of which Enchanted arms has a fairly unique one), and the Japanese RPG style in general.

If I had all day to sit around playing video games (like I did when I was at college :shifty: ) I'd probably appreciate the scope of Oblivion a lot more.

  7. The bit in MGS where you have to change the controller to port two to stop that Psycho Mantis dude reading your mind.

I still think that was an absolutely ingenious idea, and it was what turned MGS from from being a great game to being an awesome game for me.

  8. Does anybody have any idea of how tough it's gonna be to get a PS3 at launch in the UK?

Is it gonna be like the 360, or the Wii, where they're impossible to get hold of for weeks/months after launch? Or do you reckon that because of the high price, delayed launch and bad press that they'll be pretty readily available?

  9. Just finished this game the other day, and I'd definately rate it a 9/10.

Really great game, and the Wii controls work surprisingly well!

I've also just bought Windwaker with the Occarina of time bonus disk (I never had a Gamecube) so I'm off to play them. Occarina of Time first I think, I hope it's as awesome as I remember it (Y)

Anyone else finished Twilight Princess yet?

  10. *Ejaculates*

I loved Manhunt as if it were my first born child. No 360/PS3 support is a bit strange though, makes you think they're just gonna rehash the old game, with a few new bells and wistles.

Although the prospect of Wii manhunt does intrigue me.
