  1. Sabateur (Spectrum) - The first game i ever really loved, played it to death. I played it on an emulator recently and couldn't even figure out what to do, it hasn't aged well :(

Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles (NES) - Loved everything about it, I'll always remember getting right to the end of the technodrome , going into a complete panic, and losing to shredder. I never got that close to completing it again.

Rescue: The Embassy Mission (NES) - Most of you will never have heard of it, but I loved it. Look it up.

Super Mario Bros 3 (NES) - I loved all the mario games, but this was by far the best of it's times. So much to do.

European Champions (Amiga) - Some crappy football game which for some reason I played to death.

Monkey Island 1 and 2 (Amiga) - Awesome, everybody should have played these.

Sensible World of Soccer (Amiga) - I lost weeks playing the management mode of this.

Street Fighter 2 (Arcade) - Seriously, I must've spent an insane amount of money on this bad boy. I was unbeatable as Ryu though, pretty much still am :)

Legend of Zelda (SNES) - I forget the subtitle, but it's the game that got me into RPG's.

Super Mario World (SNES) - The natural progressor to SMB3, Loved it.

Worms (Playstation) - Yep, believe it or not the game that made me want a PS was worms. Well, that and...

Resident Evil (Playstation) - Awesome game, so much more adult than I was used to and really quite revolutionary at the time.

Mario 64 (N64) - As dissapointing as the console was for me, this game was anything but a dissapointment.

Metal Gear Solid (Playstation) - The first game with a story that I loved as much as the actual game, which was then surpassed by....

Final Fantasy 7 (Playstation) - Simply jawdropping. I played for hours at a time, never has a game devoured my life like this one did.

Grand Theft Auto (Playstation) - While all my friends mocked me saying it looked like a NES game, I loved the original. I was still playing it when GTA3 arrived, and then I eventually bought a PS2, and found....

GTA: Vice City (PS2) - I still like it better than San Andreas :shifty:

Manhunt (PS2) - For all the bad publicity, and all the gore and violence, this was an AWESOME game. And one I still revisit every once in a while.

Star Wars : KOTOR (Xbox) - Pretty much the sole reason I bought an Xbox, this game was the last game I played to really devour me and not let me go right to the very end. If they anounce number 3 for the 360 I will instantly buy one. No questions asked.

May 30, 2006 - In September of 2006, Warner Home Video will release a restored and remastered version of the Blade Runner 1992 Director's Cut for a special four month limited release, in anticipation of a series of exciting an unprecedented releases of the film in theaters and on DVD.

Following a four month run of the remastered Blade Runner DVD, this disc will be placed on moratorium, by WHV. In 2007, Warner will follow with a limited theatrical run of Blade Runner: The Final Cut, which is being touted as Ridley Scott's definitive version. Subsequently, there will be a multi-disc Special Edition DVD release which will contain three alternate versions of the film: the original U.S. theatrical cut, the expanded international theatrical cut and the 1992 director's cut. "Ample, groundbreaking bonus features will also be included," according to the WHV press release.

It's about fucking time. Thank God.

  3. Ever since naming Barrett "Ethel" in FF7 I've left the names alone.

There's just something about getting 40 hours into an awesome storyline and constantly being reminded that you have a massive black guy with a gun for an arm being called by an old woman's name that ruins the moment for me.

  4. I sense that you're after more ska/punk than bands like the Specials, so definately Streetlight Manifesto and Less Than Jake. And Big D really don't suck, they're one of the better ska bands around.

    Uhmmmm...

    Mad Caddies

    The Impossibles

    Voodoo Glow Skulls

    The Toasters

I used to love ska, haven't listend to it for years now though. These are about all I remember that haven't already been mentioned.

  5. I saw them live on friday night, awesome show.

I used to LOVE them when i was in school, but stopped listening shortly after End is Forever was released (I loved Blue Skies, but only really liked a few tracks from EIF). So Long Astoria also kind of licked balls.

Anyway, long story short, I heard they were now a seven piece band with more indie rock tendencies, was intrigued at the concept, went to see them live, and loved it.

I've been looking for a copy of the album for a while but couldn't find it anywhere, I'd be intrigued to know where you got yours from.... <_<

  6. I got a spanking new PSP free with my mobile phone contract, and have just had an email telling me it will arrive this week. I've also just realised that I have no games for it.

So, If I'm only ever gonna buy 1 PSP game (which I probably will, I'm not overly keen on portable systems) which game should it be? Which game is ESSENTIAL.

And don't say GTA, because that's the one I'm thinking of buying anyway :)

So yeah, which SINGLE game except GTA is essential.

  7. I like the idea of this game, but am worried if it would run on my laptop. It's a 1.8gig processor with 512mb RAM, would this be good enough to play it? Would I need a certain graphics card?

I'm hopeless at understanding what specs are needed to play what game.

  8. They're dropping like flies in this series.

Seriously, Palmer shocked me, Michelle was never really "safe" anyway, Edgar choked me up like a bitch, but TONY! That's a fuckin big step to kill off the number 2 character. Since series 2 it's been the Tony and Jack show, and now Tony is no more.

So long agent Almeida, we salute you :crying:

  9. Surely it'd be better to just play a real guitar? 5 fret buttons would be far too limiting, and how would scoring work?

Anyway, Bark At The Moon can fuck off. I've been trying to do it for close to an hour now, no doubt I've ruined any chance of enjoying future listening to it. Furthest I've gotten is 44%, and that was by flukily managing to hit all the star power notes so i could skate through the trickiest parts. I can't even do the intro properly, I can just about manage the green to blue and green to yellow, but green to red seems to be a different timing and it catches me out, every time.

    I'm dreading hard/expert :(

  10. I blew £60 on it yesterday because I had an incredible urge to play it. It's awesome, it actually feels better to play on a harder setting, as it's more like playing real guitar.

It'd be cool to have like a "jam" mode, where you can do freestyle lead guitar to a standard backing track. That'd rule.

  11. Yeah, Chase is a cunt in that mission. You just have to tough it out. I just tell him to take cover before I enter a room, then I go in and kick terrorist ass Jack Bauer style before going back to get him. This way you're only really leading him through empty rooms. You do lose Chase's firepower, but I didn't miss it to be honest.

And to kill the chopper, you just shoot it.

    A lot.

Make sure you make good use of cover, and have some meaty guns. I could never do it in the demo, but did it first time in the full game.

  12. I'm stuck on the mission at the train station where Tony has to find that guy. I get to the bit where the guy runs off after being spotted, but i cant work out where he runs to. I follow to yellow blip on the radar but that takes me down a tunnel where I promptly get squished by a train! Any help?

    Oh and interrogations kick ass!

  13. Fester Quest on the NES, when i was like 8.

I hated it, I bought it from a market and the guy wouldn't accept returns unless the game didn't work. I threw it down the stairs and all sorts in a feeble childish attempt to get it to fuck up but it didn't break. :(

I actually learned to love it after that though.

More recently, Silent Hill 4. I've beat 1, 2 and 3 and loved them, so my girlfriend bought me the fourht one. I put it on and from the word go, it just felt different. I played for about 10 mins, died, and never played it again. I might dig it out actually and have another bash though, I really WANT to like it.

  14. I got this yesterday, and completed it today.

It's kind of short and not too difficult, but it's inslanely addictive all the way through. The storyline, presentation and all round feel of the game is pretty much spot on in my opinion, it really feels like the TV show. Obviously it's AWESOME actually being Jack Bauer too.

I'd definately reccomend it to a 24 fan, maybe rent it though if you're bothered about it being short.

    8.5/10 (If it didn't have the 24 license it'd be more of a 7/10)
