Those were pretty good games and if it wasn't for a couple of bizarre AI defending decisions we'd probably be promoted again. Nice to get a few goals too.

I can do an hour or two if we can get a few together?

I've picked up both and would say that overall there's not that much in it.

PES probably has the better game engine but has that thing where you try to do one thing and inexplicably do something else. The license thing is obviously a killer if you can't be fussed about editing.

I'm enjoying FIFA too but TCO is right about them toning down the short pass to make the driven pass feature seem important and revolutionary. The FUT money pit is in full swing too - which is fine if you enjoy it, but if you're expecting improvements anywhere else you'll be disappointed. Pro Clubs, for me the best game mode in there hasn't moved on in like three years. They have toned pace down though which is much appreciated. Oh and there's no touch dribbling...whatever that is. 

I'll probably be on after nine. I'll have my headset plugged in but might not be using my mic straight away.

I have joined! Good job really - it took me all of an hour to remember why Ultimate Team pisses me off.

The Pro Evo engine is incredible this year. I'll definitely pick it up as that will hold my interest all year. Shame the whole package is weak. I'll still get FIFA, but the gloss usually wears off that by April.

I haven't played since 2012 - does post tax pay actually have any bearing? I assume it means a lot of players will pick Monaco over other teams?

I'm pretty sure one other person on here watches Coronation Street so its not a waste of a post - but they're rehashing the Steve Mcdonald/Jez Quigley plot line at the minute and I can't wait for Tony to smack the shit out of Callum

I like to think the top 3 have entered into some kind of secret pact where they take it in turns to buy United's targets and never allow them to recover.

But yeah, I'd have thought Pedro will slot in on the right wing and help Chelsea stretch more than they can with Willian in the side? Especially seeing how the Sterling-Silva-Navas trio are pulling teams all over the place so far.

That was a hideous game of football. It's a shame the United brand gets them a ton of live matches,  under Van Gaal I find them so boring. And seeing the player Rooney has become is terrible. 

On the positive side, tomorrow looks like two great games. 

I will probably bring back Eleuterius at some point. I vote we use the Pro Evo naming conventions;  Yorkshire Oranges, West Midlands Blues etc.

How long is it going to be before Skys shitty touch screen analysis goes out of fashion?

12 was very MMO-esque without actually being online. If it had used a more traditional battle system,  I think it'd be a lot higher on people's all time lists.

Spending an hour or two imterrogating informants speeds it up massively, my disappointment comes more from the quality of the 'riddles'.

Does anyone in the UK here use Comixology? I want to fill some gaps in my Batman stuff but some of the less popular stuff is between £35-50 on Amazon.

I'd rather have the physical thing, but would go digital for a fraction of the price. 

The 'true' ending you get for doing the hundreds of Riddler challenges is totally not worth it.

Just finished it. Your absolutely right, pretty poor. Everything ended pretty much where it began, it may as well have all been a dream. Even the big two things where underwhelming - Spiderman getting the black suit and Dr Dooms fate (which I expect to be nullified inside the next 10 issues of Fantastic Four).

Not sure why it's so disappointing given Thor, ASM, Avengers, X Men amd several others are on an upswing at this point? I can only assume Jim Shooter was a much better editor than writer.

This game holds your hand a lot less than the previous two in terms of telling you were the side stuff is. Plus the voice tracker thing is only on the screen for like five seconds!
