Speaking of, he appears unhappy to be left out of the Ireland squad.

Rightfully so too. Adam Idah and Troy Parrott picked ahead of him.

Idah I get because he offers something different and he's highly rated by Kenny. No way Parrott should be in ahead of him though. He hasn't played since before the pandemic and has had more nights out with drug dealers than Premier League appearances.

  2. It might not have made the news in the UK but FIFA are likely going to change their eligibility laws again

    https://www.foxsports.com/articles/soccer/fifa-shapes-new-rule-to-help-players-switch-national-team

Basically they're tweaking the laws to allow young players who were capped at senior level young at most 3 times switch to another country if they're never capped again. So if a player plays 3 times or less before they their 21st birthday they can make a switch after 3 years since their last interantional appearance.

Change seems to favour the Chinese and their small group of Brazlilians who they want to cap and Munir who took his case to CAS.

Would have both positive and negative connotations for us. It'll be tougher for us to cap tie young players but it allows allows players who chose England at a young age to change their mind. The change for example suddenly makes Michael Obafemi eligible for Nigeria and England again until he makes 3 more senior appearances or a single appearance once he turns 21.

It also cleans up the granny rule in our favour around the murky water around at what point these players obtain Irish nationallity

Whole amendement is here and it's due to be voted on next month

Not sure how I feel about it but I'd be probably on the side of liking it as it doesn't trap players capped by a massive nation to tie them. Only for them to be forgotten when they don't live up to their potential, like Munir.

  3. The Batman cast is phenomenal and the trailer is so hype! I did not know Colin Farrell was the Penguin even after watching it. I'm a massive fan of Pattinson and Dano, so this is so exciting! I always thought if they went down a more psychotic version of The Riddler then it could definitely work, kind of like Jigsaw in the Saw movies. If anybody can pull it off then it's Dano.

    Count me so in!

  4. For the non-MLBers!

"As a man of Faith",  sorry for those who sign my pay cheque". What a crock of shit.

Also it's "not who he is and never has been". Except for that time minutes prior when you said that shit. Fuck this guy.

Goodison derby in front of no one again despite most other derbies being scheduled later, plus five of the big six at home before Christmas. Cool.

I doubt there'll be any crowds at all this season to be fair. I see where you're coming from though!

Hard for fans to get too excited for the season really when it'll be legally impossible to see the majority of the games

I’m fairly confident in saying that the new face scans and the like aren’t included this early. Certainly last year, they were only added a couple of patches after release, let alone in beta. To some extent, I’d understand if they didn’t have so many new ones this year - what with social distancing and that.

Beta plays alright in all fairness. But honestly, gameplay isn’t really my issue with FIFA 20 - it is probably the best thing about it. I’ll be waiting to see if 21 includes a tournament mode that actually works (honestly criminal that Fifa 20’s is still broken, and has never been addressed by EA).

That's just another excuse for EA being lazy. Every top player should have a face regardless of a scan. Here's Greenwood made by some random lad with nothing more than Photoshop and a google search. You can can download that for PES on PC

EA are a billion dollar company and their shoddy product shouldn't be excused!

Also Saint-Maximin made by EA fr FIFA 20 vs Saint Maximin made by PES player for PES 2017

The fact he's comfortably shifted to CB helps. Doesn't he play in midfield for Austria, too? I seem to recall him playing there at some point.

He plays centre midfield for Austria and has played left side of midfield in his career too. He's probably my favourite player, can basically play anywhere at a high level and is still only 28. Would love to see him in the Premier League, doesn't matter where to!

  8. The whole our money is cleaner than yours debate is laughable. Man United were lucky enough to be on top and have the greatest manager ever when Sky created football in 1992 so now they have the right to be wealthy. Any club that gets investment after the FFP rules were implemented to desperately keep the status quo, is looked down upon.

Any achievement they make is lessened because of the money they spent and any shortcoming they have is mocked for the same reason. The whole thing is tiresome.

The entire game is a billionaires playground and ran with money and for money from the top to bottom.

  9. I can see Henderson being loaned abroad and then coming back to replace DDG next year if their trends both continue.

Good to see Ramsdale leave. Means Mark Travers is likely to be their no.1 which would be great as we have no goalkeepers playing regularly in the top 2 divisions since Randolph decided to semi-retire by going back to West Ham.

I don't watch tonnes of European football I will admit, but how much of that Barcelona squad do you look at and say "he would improve any team in the world"?

Messi is a given, but I'm genuinely not sure I think anyone else is from looking at their squad, and that's unusual for a team of their supposed calibre. Several players are on the wrong side of 30 with their best days behind them and the rest are all "good, but not great" individual players.

Ter Stegen, Busquets and Frenkie would be taken by any team in the world and Griezmann too even though he hasn't settled particularly well.  Argument to be made for Jordi Alba too given the shortage of top class left backs. Very few teams would say no to Lenglet too.

The whole Barcelona situation is a bit hyperbolic at the minute. Yes they're aging and a bit of a shambles behind the scene at the moment and they should be ridiculed after last night. I know they got demolished by Bayern but lets not act like they're not a team full with world class players. They've bought very poorly and have never fully recovered since selling Neymar but a lot of that is not having the right manager and the board being incompetent. It's not as big a job to fix them IMO.

    Mason Greenwood's FIFA 21 face is...something.

    EfZbbzWXsAUC4uq.jpeg

Do the masses even care about that? I know EA don't. Look at all the top players who look like shit. Users make better faces in photoshop in like 5 mins than EA do because they're not bothered.

It's all about that dopamine hit when you unpack a TOTW, super duper rares shiny Mason Greenwood card from a pack of digital cards you bought with Mommy's very real credit card.

I can't understand how they're so bad, they're getting beaten by utterly basic stuff.

Coutinho's on loan isn't he? Are there not rules against that in the Champions League?

He should score 4 OGs at pace.

That rule never existed in the Champions League. Famous one was Morientes scoring and knocking out Real Madrid with Monaco in 2003!

I remember Patrick Roberts scored for Celtic against Man CIty a few years back too.
