  1. the Yanks will end up with either Moyer or Glavine anyway. If its Glavine, Navarro will probably be gone...

The Yankees need a dependable starter, and while you can argue that Glavine is having a good year, he doesn't do well with a new team (we saw that last year), and he's pitched very little in the AL.

Now that Freddy and Beltran are both gone, I would look to the Yankees to settle down. They're fine, IMHO.

  2. Good deal for both teams

Olivo is amazing, and so is that prospect the Mariners got. However, Freddy should help the White Sox win the AL Central.

I'm a little dissappointed the Yankees didn't get him, but I didn't want to lose Navarro anyway.

  3. Heres a note from a friend of mine in the Denver Nuggets front office:

K-Mart will be a Nugget next season. Hes already in contract negotiations.

Nash is VERY interested in becoming a Nugget

Kobe will visit with the Nuggets during his trial

Possible T-Mac for Mello trade...dont rule it out.

    Camby isn't going anywhere

Uh-huh. Thank you, I'll take these with a grain of salt.

  4. Just to sum things up:

Nobody is arguing that the Bobcats should be competitive next year. There's no way. However, there is a way for the franchise to give off an aura that they are trying to win, and they are trying to please their fans. The Bobcats, thus far, have not done either. While the salary cap is one of those reasons, missing out on guys like Woods and Dixon is inexcusable considering the fact that they took similar guys with similar contracts who blow. This team won't even be competitive in the WNBA or CBA.

  5. The Celtics are COMPLETELY rebuilding.

It would be nice, if they decided to do so after Bird left :-/

Let's face it, that team is a mess, and trading away their best player for an unproven rookie and a bust (Chandler) is never a good solution.

  6. Orlando's Tracy McGrady could move to Houston in a major trade involving fellow All-Star Steve Francis plus veterans Cuttino Mobley and Juwan Howard.

The deal could involve up to eight players, but is reportedly on hold pending Tuesday's expansion draft for the Charlotte Bobcats.

It is believed McGrady will go to the Rockets along with Howard, Andrew DeClercq, Tyronn Lue and Reece Gaines for Francis, Mobley and Kelvin Cato.

Houston would add a star in McGrady, a three-time All-NBA selection and the league's leading scorer the past two seasons.

The deal might not be finalised until July because of salary-cap complications, the Orlando Sentinal newspaper reported.

    Wow.

As a Rockets fan, I am split on this. One hand, the T-Mac - Yao duo would be the best in the West. On the other hand, trading Francis, Cato, AND Mobley might be too much.

There's also talks of Derek Fisher signing with Houston now that he has opted out.

    I'm not sure if

    Yao - Cato - J. Jackson - Mobley - Francis

    beats

    Yao - M. Taylor - J. Jackson - T-Mac - Fisher

    :ohwell:

  7. Just when you thought it was safe to go back to movies with the end of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, nerds are back with more Potter stuff

Uh....thanks. Do try and contribute something next time ;)

I'll have to go see this movie, for sure. But last night, I went and saw Shrek because I was like half an hour late to POA. Oh well, I'll see it next week.
