  1. I've never seen this, but let me guess... he did the joke about Women being like busses, followed up with the fattist joke, then at some point mentioned dogging and driving away like a plasterers radio? Then he did some other stuff and mentioned how he was better than you because he's posh.

Jimmy Carr is great, if you only ever watch him once. Any more than that and you realise he doesn't have too many jokes.

  2. I watched this last night, and it's one of the funniest standup specials I've ever seen. I may be biased because it's one of about four I've watched since getting cable back, so my expectations could be low. I'm just wondering what you guys thought of it? It's being repeated on Comedy Central for me right now.

  3. To be honest, Black Hole Sun sounds a bit different than most other Soundgarden stuff. I can reccomend my top five favorites from Chris Cornell: five from Soundgarden, five from Audioslave, and five from Cornell's solo stuff. If you liked anything from Cornell, I swear this stuff grows on you. I didn't like Cornell at first, but now -- well, let's just say my Audioslave t-shirt makes me look quite sexy.

    -Soundgarden - Pretty Noose

-Soundgarden - Blow Up The Outside World

    -Soundgarden - Just Like Suicide

-Soundgarden - Limo Wreck [My Favorite]

-Soundgarden - Fell On Black Days

-Audioslave - Shadow On The Sun [My Favorite]

    -Audioslave - Exploder

-Audioslave - Show Me How To Live

-Audioslave - We Got The Whip (We Got A Better Bomb)

    -Audioslave - What You Are

-Chris Cornell - Can't Change Me

    -Chris Cornell - Steel Rain

-Chris Cornell - Preaching The End Of The World [My Favorite]

    -Chris Cornell - Sweet Euphoria

    -Chris Cornell - Flutter Girl

EDIT - And Kaney, your Soundgarden obsession makes me hot. <_< Hit me up on MSN (vegetos@gmail.com) some time if you don't mind, because I need to know some more good songs from Cornell.

  4. If you still like wrestling, get Day of Reckoning. I got it recently -- well, yesterday, and it rocks. Mario Kart and Mario Party are both great multiplayer games, Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life and Animal Crossing are great, and the upcoming Zelda and Harvest Moon Gamecube games seem excellent.

  5. I need help with a song I heard in the movie "Road Trip," the one with Tom Green, Seann William Scott, and those other guys. <_< Anyways, it's the first song in the end credits, and it says "I'll give you candy, give you diamonds, give you pills, give you anything you want, hundred dollar bills." I think the title is "Anything, Anything." But the problem is, who sings it? On LetsSingIt.com, I searched and found "Anything, Anything" by a band called DramRama and a band called Buckcherry. And then I found a song called "80's music" by Peter Frampton, which seems like a shorter version of the song in the movie. Who sung the song in the movie? I like it.

  6. In order:

    1. Chris Cornell (Soundgarden, Solo Work, Audioslave collectively in that order...)

    2. Alice In Chains

    3. Incubus

    4. Red Hot Chilli Peppers

    5. The White Stripes

    6. Stone Temple Pilots

    7. Rage Against The Machine

    8. Black Sabbath

    9. Pearl Jam

    10. Killswitch Engaged

Mentions also go out to, in absolutely no order, SOAD, Johnny Cash, Nirvana, Eminem (when he's being serious), and the Rolling Stones.
  7. -Objective: Make a graphic based around your favorite song. For example, if my favorite song is Soundgarden's 'Pretty Noose' my graphic would be dark and grim, perhaps with a picture of a noose/someone being hanged in it.

-Size: Anything between 300x300 and 650x650.

-Rules: Must meet size requirements; must have a border; must go with the song; some of the lyrics must be written somewhere in/on the graphic; must have a title written on it, and the title must be the title of the song.

I love these rules. If you use them, have fun. :)

  8. I'm surprised onl sycodmn mentioned Axl Rose, I'd have thought he would have a high place on this type of thing.

Anyway, I agree with George, althought I'm not sure whether Cornell is the best frontman, or my personal favourite.  He fucking rocks either way.  I've not managed to hear much from his solo album though, or Temple Of The Dog much to my chagrin.  I've heard Sunshower, Sweet Euphoria, Disappearing One and Moonchild.  Moonchild is definently my favourite of those, but I'll need to get the full CD before I pass judgement.  I do have every Soundgarden CD ever released, bar SOMMS, which I can't find anywhere, and I have Audioslave's album along with their civilian demos.  Cornell is without a doubt, my personal favourite frontman, from my personal favourite band of all time.  I've even managed to get DBD to fall in love with them :P

I couldn't agree more with Cloudy more, Cornell is by far a better song-writer, guitarist, singer and overall performer than Hetfield.

  9. *looks at my sig and avatar*

George, I think it goes without saying, but I second your opinion. I've gotten into Cornell more and more in the last two months, and I've grown to find that the stuff I used to praise hasn't got ANYTHING on him.

My top three tracks from him are probably 'Just Like Suicide' from his Soundgarden days, 'Shadow on the Sun' from the Audioslave debut CD, and 'Can't Change Me' (the English version :P) from Euphoria Morning.

  10. I don't really have any 'favorite song(s) of all time', I just have favorites of the moment. And Audioslave, who probably are my all-time favorites. With that in mind:

1.) Audioslave - Shadow On The Sun

2.) Audioslave - Bring 'Em Back Alive

    3.) Audioslave - I Am The Highway

4.) Audioslave - What You Are

5.) Audioslave - We Got The Whip

6.) Slayer - Seasons In The Abyss

7.) Killswitch Engaged - World Ablaze

    8.) Incubus - Pardon Me

9.) Incubus - Pardon Me (Acoustic)

    10.) System of a Down - Toxicity

  11. "Mosh" is okay, but it sounds look a pseudo-"White America", for some reason. Same voice tone, although he sounded better, faster, and cooler in White America. Also, both songs have similar Anti-American sentiments, although one is about Bush, and one isn't. Also, I believe the same humming/chanting noise that played in the background of the chorus of White America, is in Mosh -- it's probably not, but it sounds similar to it.

With that in mind, the differences in quality between the two really show how much Eminem has slipped. I like Mosh, when compared to Just Lose It, but not when compared to older, better Eminem songs.

  12. For Xbox, all I can reccomend is Raw II.

    Gamecube:

-WWE Day of Reckoning (on eBay, you can snag it for $25 or so.)

    -Super Smash Bros Melee

-Mario Kart Double Dash (GREAT multiplayer game)

    -Zelda: Collectors Edition

-Def Jam Vendetta I (Part two takes what little emphasis there is off of wrestling, the graphics are HORRID, I don't recall there being any actual wrestling rings, and you have to look really close to the screen to tell who is who in a match. Part one is much better, especially considering it's valued at about $10 now.)

-Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance (I haven't played Deception, but Deadly Alliance is good, and is probably cheap.)

    -True Crime: Streets of LA
