  1. And, as cliche as it is, I'm going to beat the dead horse and bring up the level of corruption within the Japanese sports market that will always hinder organizations to a degree. It's a shame because the naturally showboating culture makes for greatly entertaining events.

  2. I don't remember a Hickory, but I do Rockingham and North Wilkesboro. Aside from maybe Richmond, I agree with your two race date tracks. Needs more road courses too, less cookie cutter 1.5 mile ovals.

Rockingham should always have a home in Nascar. Richmond deserves two races in my opinion as well. Maybe it's because I am from/live in Richmond and work directly across the street from RIR, and tailgate each race there, but I think it should have a two a year. It's a nice race to mix in and break up the monotony. RIR races also put a lot of test on the drivers (outside of Gordon who basically owns the track when he races it).

  3. That's a shame really. If you get a chance go back and watch some his fights. People give him a lot of flack as a fighter because when he passed away he was 1-4 in his last fight, but he was amazing at what he did. His losses were to the likes of Ortiz, Herring (whom he was 1-1 with), Franklin (twice) and Okami. He was a very influential fighter as well; a lot of what you see in Clay Guida is a direct mirror of Evan Tanner. He's honestly one of the reason I train.

  4. Is anyone still playing this? I just finished main storyline in ACII a few minutes ago - is this something I should immediately jump into now? I have few things I want to finish on ACII (feathers, treasures, tombs I missed) but other than that I'm done with the memory syncs. Will jumping into Brotherhood feel as if I didn't miss a beat storyline wise?

  5. Evans dropping to Middleweight would create a huge money match against Silva, but if he loses that fight then there's nothing for him to do in the division besides tread water. Light Heavyweight is stacked, and a return bout between Evans and Rampage would do well. Furthermore, there's Evans-Machida II, Evans-Griffin II, Evans-Couture, and if they get desperate Evans-Ortiz II. Not to mention Evans-Rua, and if Rua retains you have to think Evans is next in line. At MW after losing to Silva all he can do is plow through the Nate Marquardts of the world.

At middleweight he can fight Bisping again (which would sell well easily), Sexyama, Wandy, Leben, Belfort and even Okami. All of those could pose a threat to Rashad in some way and easily fill a co-main event slot (possibly a headline with W. Silva). Then you have Anderson/Evans which would be huge. I'd be stoked to see Evans/Sonnen as well.

I doubt we'd see him facing Marquardt or Stann though as they are all Jackson fighters.

  6. If anyone's been on MiddleEasy today then they've already seen it, but there is an interview where Rashad is talking about his knee and the Jones/Rua fight and Rampage comes up. Evans claims that Rampage slapped him in the face in a club after the Rampage/Machida fight.

Since I can't get embeds to work here:

  7. General question that stupidly annoyed me last night, why do Americans not sing along to the national anthem? Is it just at that event or are you always so silent? Don't know why it annoyed me so much  !

People do sing along. Just not to the level which seems to have become the normal in NHL arenas in Canada. There are a lot of people who just don't know the anthem though. In schools here the anthem isn't played like it is around the world.

Most people don't sing during the anthem because the tradition is to lower your head and pray or at least appear to be paying respects during the singing, much like you do during the Pledge of Allegiance.

  8. In short, fuck off on the excessive Steelers bashing, stop acting like other teams in the league don't have guys who've hit their spouses/sold drugs/killed people or whatever other illegal activities they've done and try looking at the other players on the team who aren't accused rapists and actually have helped the communities they live in.

It's not that we are trying to single out Ben and just bash him, I actually think he's a decent quarterback personally. It's the fact that we have grown tired of ECK coming in here and pretending that the entire world is wearing the same rose tinted glasses as him. I tend to stay away from actually posting in the NFL thread but it's grown tiresome enough for me, a non regular in discussion, to jump in and tell him to get over it. No one is trying to personally attack another player; heck, I'm a Dallas fan who asked for a Nate Newton jersey for his birthday.

  9. Nope, sorry. Didn't see it.

Doesn't mean it's not true. Google "Ben Roethlisberger redemption," that was the story going into this game, absurd as it was.

At this point that's all he is being. Chase must be posting for attention, especially with that remark. Didn't see it? Shit, it was all I posted about on here and majority of my updates regarding the game on Twitter. Phoned my sister during the game to ask her a question and her husband remarked "You think they're Big Ben fans?". Spoke with my stepfather and he offhandedly remarked "They really want Ben to redeem himself and win tonight".

You're trolling and to top it off you're bad at it. Seriously, Vickie Guerrero/X-Pac heat not Jericho heat.

  10. Oh, BEP are performing this song first - I'm fucking shocked. :/

You're reading my mind, aren't you? My previous tweet:

Hey, let's kickoff the #Superbowl half time show with a song nearly 2 years old since radio release! Thank you Janet Jackson. ugh

    Slash deserves better than this.
