  1. Alright, so I think I'm starting to get the hang of managing the team, but my tactics suck.

I'm running with a 4-4-2 formation, and when I'm the favourite I generally like to play an attacking style, when the underdog I try and go with a Counter style and a high defensive line.

My issue is that for the first... 15-20 games, this was working great. As Tottenham, I managed wins against Man U(3-1-0 against them if I include the league cup), Aston Villa, West Ham and Liverpool, but I now haven't won in 8 games(0-6-2), and I can't figure out what to do. I'm drawing against teams like Stoke... it's ridiculous how my scoring dried up and my D became so porus... help?

Are your players tired? Their performance won't be at their best if they are, which will affect it.

Also, check your scout reports before each match, it will give you an analysis of your opponent, and formation's they struggle against, so perhaps try using that formation for that game and see if it helps. :)

  2. Alright so I just got the game but I know very little about football. I've started a game as Tottenham, I seem to be doing alright. I'm sitting in 5th with a 12-6-6 record and in the League Cup I upset Chelsea in the quarters and Man U in the Semi's and will likely get trounced by Liverpool in the finals.

What I'm having issues with is identifying good players because I'm not sure what ratings are important for each position and that strange octagon thing I don't know how to determine how good they are really.

Also, the whole transfer thing. So I buy the right to talk to a player and they negociate a new contract with them? I've noticed that some of my players are offered transfers, and when I deny, because I like them on my team, they get all pissy...

    - I usually buy players that I know, but since you said you know little about football, then I would rely on my staff to help me find players. Send your scouts around, and they'll come back with players they've found.

    - Your players are probably being pissed as the team interested with them is a bigger club, just praise them if they put in a couple of good performances and try offer them a new contract, that usually stops other teams being interested. E.g. in my Arsenal game I have going, Madrid wanted Fran Merida as his contract was due to expire, I offered him a new contract and he accepted and Madrid were no longer interested.

Someone else will probably go into the whole thing in more detail, but hopefully that helps you anyway. :)

  3. Got an Arsenal game going at the moment, just to keep me going until the new patch is out. I put the game start date in January 2010 with transfers off, and first thing I did was bid for any players whose contracts were expiring. Bid for Ochoa, and not even a day later I got a message saying he'd accepted my contract, I won't need to spend any cash on a keeper next season now. :)

  4. If you want to cut the picture better of the tag-team then lighten the pic as much as you can. Makes things so much easier. I've had the same problem until I lightened up the picture quite a bit and it changed everything. I Definitely recommend that.

Thanks man, it helped alot. Had another try and got these results (Might have made them too bright though):

The hair on the second one still seems messed up, but it seems better than the first cut I did, so I have just got to keep working with it until I get the right result. Thanks again.

  5. A few requests i'd like put on kykys please.

Here's them all except Team Mackition, I'm going to get to work of them now, hate them kind of pics though, the hair blends in with background when you try to cut. :P

    EDIT:

I did my best, and the hair is still a bitch to cut. Perhaps someone else is willing to give it a try, or provide me with another pic if you want and I'll cut that. :)

  6. Here's the others man, only one I can't find is Kyle Rich. The Prince Mustafa Ali pic is from Facebook and the Mia Yim pic is from MySpace so hopefully they're the right one's, if not then lemme know.

You need me to upload the Jay Bradley pics too? Or you already got them under the other names he used? :)

  7. Im looking for these workers on kyky if anyone has them please:

    Jay Bradley (AAW)

    Kyle Rich (AAW)

    Mia Yim (JAPW)

    Prince Mustafa Ali (JAPW)

    Deranged (ROH Special K fame)

I had Izzy and Deranged somewhere, but can't seem to find them now >_< and the only Jay Bradley I have is the one who was with WWE as Ryan Braddock etc... and I read he won the AAW title, so is that the same one?

  8. Head for the Door is my favourite by them. A Modern Way of Living with the Truth is my least played album out of the four though. It just didn't do it for me as much as the previous three. After Head for the Door, I was hyped to see what their next album would be like, and when it came out, even though I like it, I was kind of disappointed.

  9. The Exies second cd

I also just picked up Nirvana's live cd from the Reading Festival and Tinted Windws featuring James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins, A Perfect Circle and solo) Adam Schlesinger (fountains of wayne) Taylor Hanson (Hanson) and Bun E. Carlos (Cheap Trick)

Listening to Manafest and KJ-52's new albums, as well as the usual: Lo Key, GrewSum and Liquid Assassin. :)

  10. Completed Grim Fandango the other week for the first time. Loved it, and can see why it's loved by adventure game fans, definitely going to play through it again.

Broken Sword I and II. Love this whole series alot, probably my favourite adventure game series. Prefer the first one over the second, however I love them both, same applies for III and IV. Just waiting for the English voiceovers (hopefully this month like I have read) so I can play Broken Sword 2.5.

  11. Anyone got any idea when the database update will be released for the January transfers? I only bought this years game yesterday (exams, so wanted to avoid addiction) and I haven't a clue what's going on with the new update or anything.

There's custom databases out with updated transfers, I'm using the latest one now. However, I heard the latest patch and stuff will be late Feb early March. :)

  12. Say I have a Spanish feeder club, I've heard I can use it to avoid work permit's for players I want to sign from abroad. Anyone know how? So basically have the contract accepted, but then send them straight out on loan to the Spanish club without having to go through the work permit process which nearly always is turned down for me.

    1. Never use a Spanish feeder club. They are only useful for nationalising South Americans, who are notoriously hard to sign. They are granted Spanish citizenship in three years I think. Any other person it takes 7 or 8 years or something so it's not really worth it.

    2. You still need to sign the player (i.e. be granted a work permit as far as I'm aware) to sign the player. Then you send them on loan, and they gain an EU citizenship. Then you can sign other players on work permits. There is a limit, but I'm not sure what it is.

    3. Try to get a Belgian feeder club. They have the lowest time required to be granted nationalisation (3 years I think). Man United do this.

Thanks mate. I was just using Spanish as an example, I'll look into getting a Belgian feeder club now.

  14. Going to start up a Notts County game, to keep me going until the next update is out.

Going to have transfer budgets in first window on this time though. I made some database changes too before I start, such as Toni to Roma on loan, Pandev as a free agent, Suazo to Genoa on loan etc...

Also, has anyone ever managed to sign Lee Jung-Bin? He supposedly has high potential, but I can never seem to sign him. He's 16 and free at the start of the game, and no one seems to be interested in him either, I might start up as Madrid or Barcelona just to see if he's willing to negotiate then.
