  1. OK, I have a Verizon LG cell phone. I wanted to get a new background (color) and I was looking for a background of Miracle the movie or related. Anywho, I'm totally lost. Is there any way I can get it on my computer sent to my phone? Would I be able to get one off of my phone? Help much appreciated...
  2. Yea, I haven't heard about the 4 on 4. They will have no red line which I'm looking forward to.
  3. With the way things are looking for the season next year someone like Hull(and especially Hull seeing as his dad is commish) or Manny Legace, etc... I wouldn't doubt seeing them there. Even St. Louis was quoted as saying something along the lines of "I'd be stupid not to give it a thought" or whatever. Even if the NHL was coming back oh say in January for example or December, I still wouldn't doubt seeing a few guys in the league. Because in the WHA, as it's planned as of now, each team can have I think 2 players that can have contracts which would allow them to jump back to the NHL if they were to come to an agreement.
  4. Well, you never know man. The WHA's entry draft, which is coming up, allows 17 year old players. So if there's a lockout players like Crosby and Ovechkin could be lost to the WHA because there's no NHL in progress. They might sign there to play and that could help build a solid league around players like thoughs.
  5. Why would Atlanta and Columbus go? They both have promising young players and a couple stars or stars in the making (Heater, Kovy, ATL and Nash, CBS), and they haven't been in the league long. And the way the Thrashers played the first half of the year is showing things are looking bright. Plus Atlanta still has a couple of pretty good prospects coming in going by the names of Lehtonen and Colburn. And Columbus has Zherdev who could also turn out to be a very good player.
  6. Yea, in EHM they were in there if a NHL team had their rights. Now that the game is to be paid for, I don't know if they'll still be able to do that.
  7. I think it's suppose to be released here in the States next month. I'm definetly going to buy this. And Brock Lesnar I too was looking for Vanek and didn't find him. I'm opening it out to check if they have in their some guys I know. Didn't have a chance to do it before.
  8. Spelling Bee is gay, but Table Tennis owns. So does pool, pokers alright. I'll watch poker for a few minutes every time I turn it on. By far the gayest thing I've ever seen on ESPN, or ESPN2, a jumprope competition, it was on for like an hour and a half or two hours IIRC. Oh, what they need to get is badmitton. Badmitton is NUTS. One of the best games ever.
  9. I don't think this puts a black eye on hockey at all. It's completely normal. You ever heard of old time hockey? That's when they use to beat the shit out of each other for fun. And what gets accomplished when your down 5-1 in the 3rd and you start a fight is you send a message to the other team, send a message to your team and set the tone for the next game. The other teams gonna know you're not gong down without a fight and you send the message that your team better wake up.
  10. I was wondering the same thing too, there must be a way...
  11. It's gonna take some getting used to, but looks good, and its a beta so yay. Who'd everybody do a game with? I did Atlanta.
  12. I've never used the editor. I never have cheated on EHM but one time I changed some contract lengths in one game, that's it. I can't wait to get it, I gotta get a job.
  13. I didn't catch it... Which one was on?
  14. Well, the league I'm in is a pretty high level of play. It's not like pee wees or something, it's juniors. And it's not like shit, theres some actual really good players in the league, and I mean good. Plus, teams practice the trap in my league. And they use it in case they need to or they feel its right. Plus it's easy to break the trap if you practice it and get it down right and it doesn't take much to get it.
  15. True hockey fans wouldn't care either way as long as they get a good game of puck. It shouldn't matter what teams are playing or where it's being held. And why would you bring up the past to "rewind the scoreboard". In that case I could say, "let's go back and rewind that scoreboard to the '94 finals, Rangers 3 'Nucks 2," but the Rangers still suck now. You suck. You should stay out of hockey threads all together and save some face.
  16. I don't think they should keep the redline. It opens up the game SO much more. You really have no idea. I know personally because in my league we have no redline. It turns the game into an even more exciting one. More breakaways, more chance, more saves, more dekes, more chances for players to be creative, more excitement. And that's what's being demanded from the game. People want more scoring and what not. In my league without the redline we have TONS of scoring. This brings up another issue I have. Given, Pitts a bad team, but nothing promises a franchise wont have a cold streak. They haven't been a great team for a while now, but they just got Marc-Andre Fleury, they won't get Ovechkin but they'll get a damn good player, and hell maybe they'll finish bad again and get Crosby. But they have a good young team, waiting in the future and when they get there the Pittsburgh Penguins will be an exciting team to watch. But this brings me to a problem I have. Draftees getting such lucrative contracts. Why should Marc-Andre Fleury get such a huge salary that Pitt had to take on so they couldn't lose him. He hadn't at the time proven anything in the NHL. If he signs a 4 or 5 year deal for less money they keep him, and if they can't resign him they'll still should have by that time turned their franchise into a profit because it's exciting hockey. If they haven't at that time, the town is dead and don't deserve a team. I don't know exactly what you're trying to say here...maybe you're saying take these teams and send them here to be these teams? Expand on your post a little bit. I don't think they can just move those franchises. Atlanta is clearly showing signs of things looking bright in the future the way they played at the beginning of this season. Carolina is a bit to new, compared to other teams, to just move them. New Jersey is a dominating team, whether people like to admit it or not, and if the city won't bother to go watch them all season till playoffs and they can't hold down good attendances, move them. The team deserves better, I think the NHL would profit from another Candian team. They love the game of puck up there.
  17. I do agree alot. Teams are WAY to new to contract them, just can't happen. And with the whole youth thing, I know they do it somewhat, but it can be boosted. The only thing about is if the youth does fall in love with the sport and they get into it, down the line, alot of kids might not be able to continue at one point. Hockey is by far the most expensive sport to play. Not only equipment but when you get to a certain point it costs thousands of dollars to play. That's the state I'm at now. Juniors is alot of money. And with equipment, you have to buy new sticks every time one breaks, get skates sharpened now and then, and straight up pay for all the other pads. And skates cost alot, and after 2 or 3 years you need new ones. Plus about the contracts you talked about, I think alot of Europeans just don't care. They feel they're Gods gift to hockey, and they're not. Sure they're SPECTACULAR players, but Gods gift to hockey was Gretzky/Lemiuex. The Europeans just think, "Hell if they won't pay me I'll go home and play," because there's so many good, established leagues in Europe.
  18. Yea. Calgary deserves this. They went head to head with 3 teams that had 100 point seasons, and knocked them all out.
  19. Good. Fuckin' ABC is horrible. I don't know if it's them or our local cable company but it's all fuzzy and I can't enjoy the games.
  20. I recently have started to REALLY like classic rock, here's a list of songs I made a CD out of...
  21. Man, I'm a small time Sox fan because of Damon. Now I have to be a Mariners one... But anyone who has Beltran is a lucky club...
  22. Yea, Clawsons right. If you wanna be a potential superstar and get picked for your nations team, I wouldn't suggest having a great season, and then losing the job to Jeff Hackett. He's good, no doubt, but he isn't showing it, and untill he does he shouldn't get it because hes younger. If anything, they should get the spots because they're nearing the end of their career and they CAN still play. They'll be gone soon, making room for Luongo and whoever else.
  23. I was very let down with the dynasy mode. I thought it was gonna be awesome, big let down to me though.
  24. Damn, sounds pretty bad. I didn't get a chance to watch the game...I did see that Calgary lost though, that's shitty, but TB beat Philly, so meh.
