Just keep turning up at 8pm every Sunday. Chances are you'll get a game cause we'll never get the first 10 all together at once I doubt.

I'll post up the results from tonight's games a bit later on, but in short. It wasn't good Think we deserved more than we got but when the opponents line up as Utd, Utd, Barca. You're behind before you start.

Just won David Moyes in an auction for a minimal 150 coins. That boosts my chemistry to a nice 80. I also got a trophy for getting a gold manager.

Seeing as how there looks to be a few missing everyone who can make it should try and get on so we can put some sort of team out.

We'll discuss positions in the Dressing Room at the time.

I've had another little dip into the trade section and I got Justin Hoyte for 600 coins which I thought was decent since he has 19 games left on his contract and a cheap CB that played 442 in Chilvers who plays for PNE.

9 of those are English and 9 of them play 442 which puts my chemistry at 62. Dacourt is the only one which is neither so I should probably look to replace him but he's my best player outside my defence. I've also put a bid in for a David Moyes which finishes in 2hrs so I'll have to check back on that in a bit. Also had a daft bid on an Alex Ferguson card which had a whopping 101 games left on his contract.

I just won a Paul Konchesky for 400 coins

He's a left back who likes to play 4-4-2 and will compliment my CDM, Olivier Dacourt, nicely. Things are looking up.

So, turns out I am piss-poor at Ultimate Team.

Things were going well in the demo. Five straight wins with 4 or 5 goals per game and all clean sheets. So I buy the game and enter a tournament. Then when things like injuries, contract renewals, poor fitness come into play everything goes to pot. Not to mention all of my better silver players that I got in packs want to play in silly formations and in CAM/CDM/RWB/LWB positions rather than the standard CM/LB/RB.

Does anyone else think the AI sometimes acts a bit odd in Ultimate Team? I've noticed the goalkeeper tends to do a lot of throwing now, even to players stood right next to him, amongst other things.

I think I'm just going to keep my really shitty players that at least play in a normal position and like 4-4-2 and just keep using contract cards til I can afford to splash out on some gold packs.

I thought I was being optimistic thinking we'd get 7. In which case I would cope with playing RB/LB/RM/LM as the ANY role.

If we got 9 then to be honest I'd rather play in midfield than as the two full backs. I'm not brilliant in defence.

I did a grand job with Ze Roberto as the LCM last time out, so I'd like to keep him, and my position, if poss.

Well I called Ze Roberto originally since CAM/CM is my preferred position so if we get enough people to field a full squad I'd like to play there. Chances are we won't have a full squad out so I'll be required to play the ANY role anyways. Just as long as I'm not left to control the entire defence solo I don't mind.

So it'd be a waste of time me putting my bronze gameplay cards up for trade then as I was hoping to get a little coinage that way. Every little helps and all that.

Celebrations-wise I always do the same one. Swirl it left, swirl it right and hold X. Somersault. Unless I'm in a hurry in which case I tap L1+R1 and skip.

I just bought UT. Played my sixth match and bought my first Silver pack (trophy~!) Only got one decent silver player in there like. Fulham's Dacourt.

Didn't realise what the limit on the cards you were allowed to have was. So I've swapped in some of the better cards from my Silver pack and sent a few of the bronze players who only had a game left on their contract to the collection.

Do you guys use the gameplay cards every game? I suppose you have to else you end up wasting them by discarding them or putting them up for trade when you get new ones.

edit: Another question, the big numbers on the player cards are OVR rating right? So what are the ones on things like gameplay cards/badges/attire? I got Ceska Liga's badge (59) but kept Millwall's Lion (60). Also, how do you deploy gameplay cards on specific opposition players, like the reduced fitness/heading ones?

I think I'll cancel the rest of the invites then since that makes 10. It'd be awful if more than 10 of us turned up to play and couldn't all get in.

I'll also be editing the first post. Replacing the squad list with two seperate ones. Munich's own and our names with preferred positions (and current ratings?). Since we're deciding positions and strategy on a game by game basis rather than staying the same for the forseeable future.

I've tried the demo and I kinda like it but I'm holding off on buying it for no real reason. Well, no real reason except that I still have Midnight Club from Christmas that I ought to be devoting more time to completing and earning trophies in. Same goes for Littlebigplanet, Uncharted (need 2 more run throughs to platinum it) and Rock Band 2.

I don't mean rule silver out altogether but rather aim to get a good few gold packs bought first to put together a decent squad.

Well I'm beating 4 star teams with my 1 star team on Pro difficulty by 4 or 5 goals and I averaged 850 points over the 5 games I played.

If I buy the game I can imagine I'll just keep playing with the same rabble of players til I get enough coins for gold packs and just leave out the silver altogether. Well, besides one to get the trophy.

Anyone know how many matches are in the Bronze Club Tournament, or any other tournaments for that matter?

I don't want to enter one (or purchase the game for that matter) if my contracts aren't long enough to get me through it.

Turns out it's just the Les Paul. They have no Stratocasters left anywhere. Meh, still worth it for a tenner I guess. Typically my brother doesn't even have a tenner on him so he's just reserved one and I'm going to have to go and pick it up tomorrow.

I got my starter pack and have so far bought a single bronze pack. Played 3 matches (just on professional difficulty) and scored 13 goals and got 3 clean sheets.

My team is the Northern Lads (of course), I have Millwall's badge (it's a Lion, not bad I guess?), play at the Luz Do Sol Stadium, my home kit is the Chunnam Dragons and my away kit is Willem II which I can't find a picture of but assume it's last season's.

Couple of questions. (Admittedly, I could look these up but why bother when you nice people can tell me )

1. What are the benefits (if any) of playing online games rather than club ones? Are the coins earned boosted?

2. How much are the silver and gold packs?

3. How many games do I get out of this demo before I have to splash the cash for the full game?

4. Is there any way during a match to find out which button you have assigned strategy cards to? I don't want to accidentally deploy the wrong one.

My brother just phoned me from town and Grainger Games are having a Rock Band/Guitar Hero clearout.

Les Paul GHIII guitar and the Rock Band Stratocaster are £10 and the drumsets are going for £20.

I'm getting him to pick me up an extra guitar, can't go wrong for a tenner. Could this mean the RB2 instruments are imminent then?

Well normally I'm at basketball training on Sundays 5.30-7.30 which is why I chose 8pm. If we all aim to be in the dressing room FOR 8pm next time then we should be able to get started straight away.
