  1. They've got the specials in the can, they've got the first series of Gatwa's in the can, and now they are starting to record the second Gatwa series, guess this proves that they want to bring back Doctor Who as a regular annual series again.

I wish they had followed up that Doctor Who/TNG crossover with a Doctor Who/TOS one, but using one of the classic Doctors. Either 2, 3 or 4.

I'm pretty sure the comic has 4 and Kirk team up.

It's a shame shows like the Avengers (the proper ones) or Sapphire and Steel haven't made a come back because they'd make interesting crossovers with Doctor Who (if they were any good, which seems unlikely in the Avengers case).

They tried with Avengers, it didn't work out well.

Someone on Reddit just mentioned the idea of a crossover with Red Dwarf for a special Doctor Who episode and now it's all I want to see. Imagine that with Capaldi's Doctor.

I recall there were rumors of a Star Trek crossover during the Enterprise era and when Doctor Who got rebooted, but Enterprise got axed before things went further.

  4. I will say combinging this with some minor editing is the best option, I tried putting in an old efed to see what it would give me and this was the best option.

With a minor clean up and adding some text you can come out with this, and this is very basic modifications, I'm pretty sure anyone else here could have done this, it's not perfect but it's good enough to work from.

Also for shits and giggles I tried out a how it makes belts, I put in "WWE Hardcore Championship Belt" and got these.

  5. I thought it might be good to make a thread for this rather than add it as a resource, so others can to post their creations.

gazwefc has been working on a remaster of the C-Verse images, including logos for the promotions, over on the PWS discord he has said he has been using AI to create these and it's such a game changer that I thought it would be good to spread the word. Now be warned AI images are not perfect, especially with text, so he has to edit the logos to correct this but I've tried it for a few promotion ideas I've had and it can spit out some incredible designs, so considering how many players like to make their own companies, this can be an amazing resourse, I've even see it used for wrestling belts but text is still an issue.

For the logos he has been using https://www.bing.com/create (When you create an image, click on it and you'll have the option to download the larger image)
And for the people he has been using https://dezgo.com/txt2img

    Examples of edited C-Verse logos.

  6. Here is the update for October, nothing too major this month, I've reactivated Ohio Valley Wrestling since there seems to be some buzz around them at the moment, beyond that not a lot, added some workers for OVW as well as a few others, all listed in the editor. Beyond that it's just the typical; updates for the month, if you see anything out of place mention it and I'll fix it up for next month.

    Enjoy.

    Database: October 2023
    Graphics: September 2023 (Google Drive)
BUMP Workers and Belts: July 2023 (Google Drive)

KyKy Workers: January 2022 (Last KyKy Pack)
KyKy Worker Expansion: June 2020 (KyKy)
Worker Expansion contains pictures of wrestlers holding titles, along with non wrestlers cut on the same background used for workers.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Why is [Promotion] closed when they are active?
Due to how slow the game runs with more promotions active, I have included active promotions but have them closed, to identify these they have their opening date and closed date the same. To activate the promotion simply remove the closed date.

  7. I will say the spin off Young Sheldon is a good show... would be even better if Sheldon wasn't involved in it, it removed the whole laughter track BS and just playes it as a comedy drama.

I kinda hate watched most of BBT, it got repeated so often I just thought sod it and watched the lot, my biggest gripe is how they completly rewrite characters from one season to the next, if you watch Sheldon in the first series and then him anywhere after that you can tell they just hyper focused on the qwerks up to 11, and the weird thing is they do the opposite with the other characters, they were hyper focused on one thing that they had to kill to get any development out of them.

I watch Classic Who on Pluto from time to time. Watched part of The Deadly Assassin last night before I crashed.

They actually air the Shada reconstruction with a mix of the footage that was actually filmed and animation from time to time. I highly recommend checking it out. Especially for the very last scene.

I believe they recently redone Shada as a full animation.

  9. There has been some work being done to animate telesnaps, these clips look good but obviously a big jankey, plus they have announced that they will be attempting to animate a full and it's going to be an episode of The Highlanders.

You can follow the project through their patreon.

    1. What kind of issues are there, in general?

    2. How good is the 2016 database and does it start at the brand split?

    1) Nothing that should majorly impact playing it, some of the recent stuff brought up in the bug thread was things like AI booking the main event twice and tag champs listed for one person instead of two, so nothing major, it's more to take note that it is still a work in progress, and it gets updated 1-2 times a month.

    2) As for databases, I haven't played too many myself so can't really comment, did install it and it starts January 1st.

Can someone give me the elevator pitch for this game? Admittedly, it's probably been 20 years since I played EWR, but I love the idea of this. What sets it apart? How easy is it to install the mods? I'd want to have a modern database, is that easy to obtain and install?

Best way to put it is that it fits between EWR and TEW, it's not as simplified as EWR and not as complex as TEW, in short take EWR and add seeing other promotions results, an expanded game world, being able to book a show to length rather than set segments and better graphic options than EWR and TEW as it allows the PNG format, those kind of features.

Installing mods the old way is basically the same as EWR and TEW of downloading the files and putting them in the right folders, you have options on the game start screen that will open the correct folders needed, and that's the hard way, the game has steam workshop support so you can just follow the mod you want in the workshop and it will automatically install everything, including the graphics and will update when the mod gets updated, the workshop is a bit sparse right now but there is a modern "live" database that is updated nearly daily, as well as mods for 1988, 1998, 2004, 2006, 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2016, , and if you don't want it to get updated you can choose to download the mod to your PC through the workshop section in game.

It's bigget drawback is that it's still in eary access, so there is a lot of bugs and issues present, but for the most part it's totally playable.

    Thank you.

Annoying thing is I studied graphic design and have my certificates in it and such. Yet. With issue's to health I have literally forgotten most of what I know and been taught. Which is a shame as it was one of the reason I wanted to study it to help with TEW stuff.

I'm sure I will pick it all up again again Gimp was fine for now until I get Paint.Net. Will end up sorting Adobe Photoshop and illustrator, with going back into everything I was taught since I have all the course work and book's still.

Appreciate the kind word's, help and encouragement. Do see what you mean about having to have multiple ways to deal with the graphics for personal games and mods. Keep up the good work yourself.

I would have mentioned Adobe, but their paywall can be a barrier, the free options are good enough for TEW work, you just need to know what you're doing, both GIMP and paint.net are open source so there are a lot of plugins and add ons that can help expand, but for both the base programs give you everything you need.

I'd always encourage people at least try it themselves, only you are the best person for getting what you want.

Cheers for this advice and help @TheWho87Just used it today.

Had to use Gimp as Paint.Net was down. But fun and useful advice from yourself. It helped and it is appreciated. So thank you.

    That's not bad.

GIMP is a fine alternative, I've tried both and have personally sided with paint.net, I do use GIMP when I need to release my picture packs since I use BIMP (Batch Image Manipulation Plugin), it does take about 10 hours to go through all the pics but better than doing them manually.
