We might have an explanation as to why X HD is taking so long. Supposedly the title on this translates to "Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD remaster". So it looks like X-2 won't just be included on the disc, but updated too.

Very minor reason why. Also, I need something to finally convince me to buy a PS3. FFX+X2 in HD helps it's case considerably.

EDIT: FINALLY some semblance of a release date, sometime later this year. Also hearing that the rerelease of FFX will be based off the International version of the game.

Purely rumour at the moment, but reports have said that FFX-2 might be on the same disc as FFX HD when finally released.

...though in all seriousness, I liked FF X-2. Kinda nice to play a Final Fantasy game that doesn't take itself too seriously.

I wish Madden had the option to let you jump into the current point of a offseason/season and everything would reflect what is currently going on. Would love to start a Ravens franchise right now.

We don´t know yet. But if you consider that there are already... 4-5 pices of DLC depending on if you preordert the game or bought the collectors edition there might be a ton of stuff coming. (most of the fear here is directed by The Sims 3 which is very much loaded with rather expensive DLC. - We don´t know yet how many city sets or superhero building alike gimmiks there will be and how much they´ll cost.

Reading TEOL's Crusader Kings II diary thingy in The Cube has got me interested in playing this game. I'm curious as to how long it'll take someone who normally doesn't play strategy games to understand the game to a reasonable level? a.k.a "How long will it take me to understand and master the basic mechanics of the game?"

Squeenix is only going to get me to buy Lightning Returns is if they finally announce a release date for the HD remaster of Final Fantasy X.

I think literally the only way to lose is to either Zombify or Petrify yourself. Either way, it's absurd that I have to go so far out of the way to lose a final boss fight.

In fairness, while I loved FFX, its final boss was as shitty as they come.

The fact that you have to go out of your way in order to actually LOSE the fight doesn't help matters any.
