  1. OOC: This diary is done under EWR using a modified Best of the 80s scenario meshed with Ravex update #24 (or 25, not sure). Anyway, I started it in 1985 and the wrestlers of today show up in the database when they reach 18 years of age.

August 24, 1994: A day that will live in wrestling infamy, a day that announced the beginning of the new era of professional wrestling. This was the day when Shane Douglas pronounced himself the first ever ECW World Heavyweight Champion and Eastern Championship Wrestling broke all ties with the NWA and became extreme. This is the diary of a man by the name of Paul Heyman. This is a look at ECW from the beginning. ECW: From the Inside Out!!

After making the decision to break away from the NWA, Paul Heyman was able to sign two wrestlers to written contracts. He plans on making these two the main wrestlers in the company. One has formerly wrestled for both the WWF and WCW and will now make his home in ECW. He is the first ever ECW World Heavyweight Champion. He is Shane Douglas. The other is a man who has traveled the world. He was trained by a legendary wrestler and will hopefully revolutionize the professional wrestling industry. He is Rob Van Dam. Also, signed on to be the announcer is the voice of ECW, Joey Styles.
