    Velocity Results for 6-25-05

We open with Heidenreich and Jindrak set to do battle.

    Heidenreich vs. Mark Jindrak

The match opens with Jindrak keeping Heidenreich off balance with dropkicks and clotheslines. However, Heidenreich quickly shiflts the momentum with a spinebuster. From there on, it’s all Heidenreich. Finally, ending it with the Whiplash Powerbomb. However, after the match, Jindrak extends his hand to Heidenreich, who accepts. The crowd boos Jindrak, thus making him a heel.

    Winner: Heidenreich via pin

We go backstage with Eddie Guerrero and Josh Matthews.

Matthews: You’ve got a US title match coming up against Rhyno. Your last match was for the European title against RVD. Which you lost. Why do you keep getting title shots?

Guerrero: Never mind the past homes. I’m Eddie Guerrrrrero. If anything, I should be getting shots at better titles like the World title, homes. And I’ll prove that with my win tonight.

Eddie walks away as we head back to the ring.

    Funaki vs. Billy Kidman

In a high-flying match Funaki appeared set to win the match with a Japanese submission hold. However, Akio came down to the ring and distracted Funaki. Funaki turned around into a BK Bomb and Kidman sealed the deal with a Shooting Star Press for the win.

    Winner: Billy Kidman via pin

A video hyping the Smackdown debut of Justice League on next week’s Smackdown is shown.

We go to Josh Matthews again, this time with the other half of the main event, Rhyno.

Matthews: Rhyno, in your first two matches since you came to Smackdown you’ve won a tag match and won that US title. This is your first title defense. Are you nervous about it being against a star like Eddie Guerrero?

    Rhyno: No.

Matthews: OK..thank you for your time.

Rhyno stalks away toward the ring for our main event.

Rhyno vs. Eddie Guerrero (US title match)

In a tremendous match, Rhyno got off to a quick start with some hip tosses. Then he picked up a quick two count with a spinebuster. Rhyno sent Guerrero into the turnbuckle and hit several shoulder charges before setting him up top. He got him set up for the superplex but Guerrero pushed him off and went for an early 5-star but Rhyno rolled out of the way, sending Guerrero into the canvas. Rhyno picked Guerrero up and attempted a suplex but Guerrero blocked it and hit the Three Amigos instead. Guerrero then went out on the apron and flipped over the top onto Rhyno for a two count. Guerrero stomped away a few times before heading up top. Guerrero went for another 5-star but it was again reversed by Rhyno, this time by giving Guerrero the knees. While Guerrero was flopping around in pain, Rhyno set up for a Gore. As soon as Eddie turned around Rhyno exploded from the corner and snapped Guerrero in half with a Gore. He made the pin for the three and a successful title defense.

    Winner: Rhyno by pin

    Smackdown results for 6-23-05

Smackdown opens up with Mr. Quick and Booker T standing in the middle of the Sucka Free set.

Vinnie: Before I let Booker T start Sucka Free and before I answer the question that everyone wants answered, I have some business I need taken care of. Now, on Velocity, MNM and Lenny and Lodi agreed to a match for MNM’s title rematch. Well, I’d like to change that a bit. The match is still on but it’s going to be one match out of an 8-team tournament. Which leads me to the news you all want to hear. Now, if you recall, I made the stipulation last week that if JBL or the Bashams interfered in the US title match that they’d be suspended. So on Sunday I came up with this idea. I had a meeting with JBL and Orlando, and I had a separate meeting with the Bashams. I offered them the same deal. I told them that they could either stay suspended or they could have the other two traded to RAW and they would be activated and entered in the tournament. Only one team accepted my offer. And that was...The Bashams! So, in the end, I traded JBL, Jordan, Chavo Guerrero, and Al Snow. Now, on to the other teams in the tournament. The teams are Lenny and Lodi, MNM, The Bashams, The Outsiders, Akio and Kidman, the newest tag team on Smackdown Justice League, and two other teams to be named later. Before I get too long-winded, I’d like to have Booker call his guest out here.

Booker T: Alright, please welcome my guest and Smackdown’s biggest acquisition, The Big Red Machine.

Kane comes out to a huge pop as Mr. Quick heads to the back.

Booker T: Kane, it’s great to see ya again man. How do you like Smackdown so far?

Kane: Well, it’s good to be away from Edge and that whore Lita but...

Kane is interrupted by RVD’s music and the European champion comes out.

RVD: Kane, I hate to interrupt you but I just wanted to welcome you back and ask you something. I got this idea backstage while Vinnie was talking. I remember when me and you were tag team champions. I think we should try to re-create those memories. So what do you say, me and you entering the tag team tournament?

Kane: I have one condition. After the tournament, I get a shot at that title belt.

RVD: Alright man. That’s cool with me.

Next up was Scotty 2 Hotty against Rey Mysterio. A video is shown of Scotty’s last two matches, which both ended with him winning by DQ.

Scotty 2 Hotty vs. Rey Mysterio

The match is dominated early by Rey Mysterio with Rey hitting all his signature moves including an incredible plancha to the outside. He was just about to hit the 619 when Scotty moved out of the way, pulling the middle rope with him. Rey fell violently to the outside, even hitting his head on the outside barricade. The ref began the ten count and at 6, Rey began to stir. At 8, it appeared Rey was going to make it into the ring before Scotty hit a baseball slide on Mysterio. The ref made the ten count as Scotty celebrated his third straight victory without a pin or submission.

Winner: Scotty 2 Hotty by countout

Next up was the first match of the tag tournament, MNM vs. Lenny and Lodi.

MNM vs. Lenny and Lodi (first round of tag tournament)

In a great match MNM were able to get an advantage before the match even started by attacking Lenny and Lodi on their way down the ramp. Their advantage didn’t carry over to the ring, though, as Lenny and Lodi quickly dumped them to the outside and Lenny hit a plancha on both opponents. Next was ten great minutes of action, highlighted by a four-man superplex move off the top. Near the end of the match, Nitro brought a chair to the ring and attempted a chair shot on Lodi. However, Lodi was able to duck the shot and Nitro hit his own partner, Mercury. Nitro then turned into a double DDT. Lenny headed up top for a Moonsault for the three count. Putting Lenny and Lodi in the 2nd round. And in the first match of the tag tournament for MNM’s rematch, MNM loses.

Winners: Lenny and Lodi by pin

With that, we cut to the backstage area where Shelton Benjamin is being interviewed by Josh Matthews.

Matthews: Shelton, you seemed to be the most upset of everyone who was traded on Monday. Now that you’re here, do you feel any better about the trade?

Benjamin: You’re right, Josh. At first, I didn’t want to be traded. I felt like I was being betrayed. But after meeting Mr. Quick, I’m excited to be part of this brand and I...

He’s then cut off by his former tag partner, Charlie Haas.

Haas: Shelton, I don’t mean to interrupt you, but I just wanted to welcome you back to Smackdown.

Benjamin: Well thanks man. How’ve you been doing?

Haas: I’m doing great. Hey, did you hear about that tag tournament?

Benjamin: Yeah, I did. I think it should be...hey. Wait a minute. You want to re-live our old glory, don’t ya?

Haas: Maybe. Do you want to enter the tournament?

Benjamin: Yeah, I’m in. Let’s go tell Vinnie.

The two head towards the GM’s office as we go to the ring for the cruiserweight title match.

Shannon Moore vs. Frankie Kazarian vs. Paul London (Cruiserweight title)

In a great triple threat match, all three men put on a show. Highlights included London hitting a double crossbody plancha, Kazarian hitting a tornado DDT/hurricarana combo move, and Moore connecting with a Moonsault on both of the challengers. Kazarian appeared ready to hit a superkick on London but London ducked it and Kazarian caught Moore instead. Kazarian then turned into a backflip dropkick. London climbed up top and signaled for the London Calling but Shannon Moore kicked the ref into the rope, crotching Paul London. Moore quickly hopped up and dropkicked London to the outside. Then, Moore climbed the turnbuckle and hit the Halo on Kazarian for the 3-count and a successful title defense.

    Winner: Shannon Moore via pin

We cut to the backstage area, where Josh Matthews is with Kurt Angle.

Matthews: Kurt, next is your match against The Undertaker. It’s Taker’s first match in months. Do you think that will play to your advantage?

Angle: Of course it’ll be to my advantage. I mean #1 He’s not getting any younger. And #2 He’s got to be rusty from sitting at home watching me wrestle.

Matthews: Well, you are on a bit of a losing streak. So Taker’s been sitting at home watching you lose, huh? Hahaha

With that, Angle viciously attacks Matthews. Before walking away to the ring for his match.

    Kurt Angle vs. The Undertaker

The match was hard fought right from the beginning. Angle got off to the best start, locking Taker in for 3 German suplexes before Taker powered out of an attempted 4th suplex and got a 2-count with a sidewalk slam. Taker set up for a chokeslam but Angle distracted the ref and got out of The Undertaker’s clutches with a low blow. The momentum shift didn’t last long though. As Taker hit a big boot on Angle and picked him up for a Last Ride. Angle was able to pick the ankle and locked in an Ankle Lock. Taker fought for half a minute and was about to get to the rope before Angle pulled him to the middle of the ring and locked his legs around Taker’s. Taker was about to tap for the first time in his career when the arena shakes with an explosion and then Kane’s music. Angle let’s go of the hold directs his attention to the TitanTron. While Angle is turned the other way, Taker sits up, gets up, and sets up for a Last Ride. Kane never appears and his music cuts. With that Angle turns around right into a kick to the gut and Taker sets him up for a Last Ride. But Angle reverses it with an Angle Slam for the 3-count.

    Winner: Kurt Angle via pin

    OOC Notes on the Show:

    1. With one trade I got three new tag teams. I think that's enough bulking up of the tag division, don't you?

    2. Stay tuned to the Scotty 2 Hotty storyline. I don't want to give too much away but I'm sure everyone can tell this is leading to something big.

    3. I don't really have a third note for this show...uhhh...oh, I realize this took me FOREVER to post but I'll be more timely with my shows from here on out. Starting with Velocity tomorrow (I hope).

    Smackdown Preview for 6-23-05

With the debut of four former RAW superstars and three huge matches already signed, this week's Smackdown appears to be shaping up to be the best since Vinnie Quick took over as the GM.

On last week's Velocity two matches were signed. One is a cruiserweight championship match between Shannon Moore, Frankie Kazarian, and Paul London in a triple threat match. This match is Moore's first title defence, London's rematch for the title, and Kazarian's first match on Smackdown.

The other match that was signed on Smackdown was Lenny and Lodi against MNM. The match is for MNM's tag title rematch against the Dudleys.

The last match is The Undertaker's return to the ring against Kurt Angle.

Also, Booker T interviews Kane in this week's Sucka Free. One week after interviewing Kane's brother, The Undertaker, Booker T interviews one of the biggest (no pun intended) additions to Smackdown in the recent trade.

And speaking of the trade, Vinnie Quick will be in the house to announce who will be going to RAW in exchange for Kane, Shelton Benjamin, and Justice League.

All this and much more on Smackdown!

  4. Velocity results

    6-18-05

Velocity opens with the new announcing team of Michael Cole and Paul Heyman welcoming the viewing audience. The competitors of the first match, Scotty 2 Hotty and Chavo Guerrero are already in the ring.

Scotty 2 Hotty vs. Chavo Guerrero

In a well-executed match which was mainly Chavo Guerrero working on Scotty’s injured head (from the chair shot he received on Smackdown from Matt Morgan) Guerrero appeared ready to win the match but Scotty pushed Guerrero away and right into the ref. Chavo accidentally elbowed the ref on his way down while trying to catch his balance and he ended up landing right on top of the dazed ref. Chavo helped the ref up but the damage was done and the ref signaled for a DQ on Chavo. A shocked Chavo pleaded with the ref while Scotty 2 Hotty celebrated his second DQ victory in just three days.

Winner: Scotty 2 Hotty by DQ

We then go to Lenny and Lodi being interviewed by Josh Matthews.

Matthews: Tonight you two have a rematch of last week against Billy Kidman and Akio. Why did you two accept the rematch challenge?

Lenny: Well Josh, our philosophy is to accept all comers and we expect the same from everyone else. We just have to prove last week wasn’t a fluke.

Matthews: Don’t you think you should be going against the bigger name tag teams if you want another title shot?

Lodi: Well, you have to work your way up. We’re the new team and we know that. But we also know we’re the best tag team here. That’s the part we still have to prove. Now, sit back and watch us prove it for the second straight match.

That match was next and the camera cut back to the ring as Kidman and Akio waited for their opponents.

Akio and Billy Kidman vs. Lenny and Lodi

Just as they promised, Lenny and Lodi dominated. The closest Akio and Kidman got to winning was a missed Shooting Star Press which was directly after a flurry of cheating tactics by Akio and Kidman. The match ended with a Moonsault from Lenny and a Splash from Lodi in stereo.

Winners: Lenny and Lodi via pin

After the match Lenny grabs a mic.

Lenny: MNM, get out here. C’mon, we know you’re back there.

MNM’s music hits and the former champs walk down to the ring.

Lenny: We know you have a rematch for the titles coming but even you have to admit that we deserve that shot more than you guys do.

Joey Matthews: We aren’t admitting anything. So you beat Akio and Billy Kidman. Big deal. We’re MNM. And the only team that has ever beat us are The Dudley Boyz. You aren’t in our league or theirs.

Lenny: Fine we’ll just prove to you that we’re better. Like we just proved to everyone else. So how about it? Next week, on Smackdown, you two against us for your title rematch.

Nitro: Well, like you said. It’s our title rematch. But, you two don’t look like much competition for world class athletes like us. And besides, we could use a warm-up match for our rematch. We accept!

The camera goes to the backstage where Josh Matthews is now with Frankie Kazarian.

Matthews: Up next you have your second match in the WWE ever. And it’s against former cruiserweight champ, Paul London. Why would you pick such a tough opponent for your second match.

Kazarian: Do you know who you’re talking to? I’m Frankie Kazarian. Maybe you don’t know much about wrestling outside of the WWE but out there I’m a living legend. And soon I will be in here to. Starting with destroying a former champ. Now get out of my way, I can feel my coolness going away.

We head back to the ring where Paul London awaits his challenger. Kazarian comes out and makes way to the ring and the action is underway.

    Paul London vs. Frankie Kazarian

In a great, fast-paced match Frankie Kazarian does just as he promised by defeating Paul London. Albeit, in an unsportsman like manner. Paul London had got Kazarian down and went up top for a 450 Splash but Kazarian was able to kick the ref into the top rope crotching London on the top rope. Kazarian climbed to the top and hit a top rope hurricarana before pinning London with a handful of tights for the three count.

    Winner: Frankie Kazarian via pin

After the match Kazarian grabs a mic.

Kazarian: Seeing as how Lenny and Lodi are fighting MNM for their rematch and you have a Cruiserweight title rematch coming, what do you say next week we have a match for your rematch?

Before London can answer the Smackdown GM, Vinnie Quick comes out to a huge pop.

Vinnie: Hold on right there Paul. Your rematch is next week so don’t go accepting that challenge. But Kazarian, you showed me something tonight, so next week on Smackdown it’ll be you two against Shannon Moore in a triple threat match for the cruiserweight title.

Velocity goes off air showing a close up of a smiling Frankie Kazarian.

    Smackdwown results for 6-16-05

Smackdown opens with Matt Morgan and Scotty 2 Hotty in the ring for the opening match.

Scotty 2 Hotty vs. Matt Morgan

Morgan dominates the match until he goes for a Powerbomb which Scotty wiggles out of and hits a bulldog. Scotty starts to do the Worm. But while he’s got his back turned to Morgan, Morgan slips out of the ring and grabs a steel chair. Scotty notices that Morgan’s on the outside but he doesn’t realize that he’s also armed. Scotty goes to the ropes to investigate and is met with a faceful of steel. The ref DQs Morgan, sending the big man on a rampage. First, chokeslamming the ref and then turning his attention back to Scotty 2 Hotty. He clobbers Scotty with a flurry of chair shots before picking him up for a chokeslam directly onto the chair. Morgan leaves the ring with paramedics rushing to the ring around him.

Winner: Scotty 2 Hotty by DQ

The camera cuts to the backstage where Josh Matthews is with The Dudley Boyz.

Matthews: You two have a huge tag team title match tonight against MNM. But they’re coming off of two rest weeks while you guys just had a brutal 4-team match last week. Are you guys 100% for tonight’s match?

Bubba Ray: Of course we are. We’re the freakin’ Dudley Boyz. We’ve been in thousands of matches like last week’s. And most of those were worse. The question is, do MNM have any ring-rust from not having a match the past two weeks?

Matthews: That’s a very good point but you two hadn’t had a match in months before last week so...

D-Von: Yeah, and we won last week. We’ve been in the business longer than MNM have been alive. We don’t experience ring-rust anymore.

The Dudley’s walk off as the camera cuts back to the ring where Booker T is surrounded by his Sucka Free set.

Booker T: Tonight, I have a huge surprise as my guest. None of you will believe it when you see him. This will put Sucka Free on the map. Now, before I hype this any further. Please welcome the guest of the second installment of Sucka Free.

A familiar bell tolls and the arena goes black with a blue glow on the ring. Suddenly, the ring begins to smoke and rising from the smoke is none other than...The Undertaker! The crowd goes crazy as Booker tentatively begins to speak again.

Booker: W-Welcome to S-Sucka Free Taker.

Just as Taker grabs a mic and starts to say something he’s attacked from behind. It becomes clear that it’s Kurt Angle and that he came through the crowd. The two battle a bit before Taker hits a big boot that dims Kurt’s lights. He then picks up Angle and hits a Last Ride that sends the crowd into a frenzy. Taker picks up the mic again.

Undertaker: Looks like I’m making my return to wrestling next week. Against...Kurt Angle!

The crowd goes crazy once more as Booker T raises the arm of The Undertaker before Taker glares at Booker who immediately let’s go. The camera cuts back to the backstage where Michael Cole is with Rene Dupree.

Cole: Rene, up next you have a match against Charlie Haas. It was originally set to be Haas and Hardcore Holly against you and your partner Kenzo Suzuki. What happened?

Dupree: Well, Kenzo received a terrible inzury and he couldn’t compete tonight. In fact, he’ll be out quite a while. But that won’t stop me from givink Zarlie Haash a beatink he won’t zoon forget.

Cole: Well good luck tonight, Rene.

Dupree: Look at me. Does it look like I need luck? I’ll destroy Zarlie Haash. No get out of my way you ignorant American!

The camera goes back to the ring were Charlie Haas is waiting for Rene Dupree. Dupree’s music hits and he makes his way to the ring as the match gets underway.

    Charlie Haas vs. Rene Dupree

In a total squash match, Haas dominates Dupree before locking in the Haas of Pain. Dupree taps very quickly to the hold and even after Haas lets go, Dupree stays down in agony. For the second straight match, the paramedics rush to the ring. They end up taking Dupree out on a stretcher due to a leg or abdominal injury.

    Winner: Charlie Haas by submission

We go backstage for an interview with Orlando Jordan by Josh Matthews.

Matthews: Orlando, last week you and JBL lost your tag match. That means tonight that US belt is on the line against Rhyno. Rhyno pinned you in that tag match. If that same thing happens than we’ll have a new US champ.

Jordan: IF the same thing happens. Well the same thing won’t happen because JBL has a foolproof plan.

Matthews: Well if that includes him and/or The Bashams interfering than it won’t work. Because, our GM, Vinnie Quick, has banned all three from ringside.

Jordan: So what. JBL told me that he’s willing to get suspended to make it up to me for getting us in that match last week. Now, we’ve got to go work the plan out some more. This interview is over.

Orlando Jordan walks away as we go back to the ring for the tag title match.

MNM vs. The Dudley Boyz for the tag team titles

In a great back-and-forth match The Dudley’s appeared to be in control until Johnny Nitro grabbed one of the title belts and brought it into the ring. However, when he went to waffle D-Von with it D-Von was able to duck in time and Nitro hit his own partner. Then, to make matters worse, he turned around right into a 3D. Bubba made the pin on Nitro for the three count and the titles.

Winners: The Dudley Boyz via pin

A short video hyping next week’s Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle match is played before we go back to the ring where the US title match is getting ready to start.

Rhyno vs. Orlando Jordan for the US title

In a great match Rhyno appeared poised to hit The Gore but Danny Basham rushed to the ring and grabbed Rhyno’s leg and held him long enough for Jordan to hit a superkick for a two count. The match continues with Danny Basham interfering throughout the match. However, late in the match, with the ref distracted, Basham attempts to hit Rhyno with the US title but Rhyno ducks it and Basham hits Orlando Jordan in the back of the head knocking him and the ref down. Basham then turns around into a Gore. Rhyno then gets in position for a Gore on Orlando Jordan but Doug Basham runs down to the ring and tries to attack Rhyno. However, he receives the Gore instead. Finally, JBL runs to the ring and goes for the Clothesline from Hell but Rhyno ducks it and Orlando Jordan receives the clothesline instead. Then JBL gets blasted with a Gore. Rhyno makes the pin as the ref shakes himself awake to make the slow count. 1...2...3! Danny Basham dives to break up the pin just after the three-count’s made. And Rhyno holds the US title above him as JBL and his cabinet roll in pain and shock as Smackdown goes off air.

    Winner: Rhyno via pin

    OOC Notes on the show:

    1. I realize that I’ve had every title change hands except the World title and that’s somewhat unrealistic but I have two reasons. First, I had no PPV this month. Second, I’m showing Vinnie’s immediate impact as the GM. Things will slow down and become more realistic soon.

    2. Dupree’s injury is the on-screen explanation of his eventual firing. Oh, and Kenzo Suzuki isn’t injured. He’s in rehab. My only plans for both him and Dupree were to use them as a team. Now you understand why I’m firing Dupree.

    3. Vinnie Quick never appeared on this show. I didn’t plan it that way I just didn’t need him. Expect him to make his comeback in a big way next week.

I hope everyone likes the color scheme better. I pretty much just colored everyone's dialogue a different color in the interviews and then colored the match results blue. Velocity should be up later today. I'm not sure what format I'll do the results with but I'll figure out something.

    Preview for Smackdown June, 16

Two title matches are already set for this week's Smackdown. As the Dudley Boyz take on the tag champs MNM and Orlando Jordan defends his US title belt against the newest member of Smackdown, Rhyno.

Earlier in the week, GM Vinnie Quick barred JBL and the rest of his cabinet from interfering in this week's US title match. If JBL or the Bashams interfere in the match then they'll be suspended.

Also, Booker T's segment, Sucka Free, makes it's return this week. It hasn't been announced who his guest will be for the second edition of Sucka Free but Booker has guaranteed that it will shock everyone.

And Eddie Guerrero, World champ John Cena, Kurt Angle, Rey Mysterio, and many others will all be in the house for this week's installment of Smackdown!

    Confirmed Matches:

The Dudley's vs. MNM for the tag titles

Rhyno vs. Orlando Jordan for the US title

  7. My bad, I guess I'll just use a mix between my last Velocity and hand-writing the results. I guess I'll start changing my coloring scheme too, but you guys really seem to put an emphasis on using color. I know it's so it's easier to read but, personally, I care more about what the writing says more than how it's written.

I read through this diary and one thing that stood out to me was the all colored SmackDown. You need to color is selected places. Please Roboto, stop copy and pasting from EWR. I hate to be a busybody but it is against the rules and you could be warned/banned.

    5. No Copy & Paste Diaries/Plagerism

Please, we do not want to read all of the text for the games. And (obviously) don’t steal others’ work and claim it as your own. Though this is something that seems obvious, my work was actually plagerised at another EWR diary board a while back. THIS IS INTOLERABLE, and the staff can ban you right away.

So yeah, you might want to change your Velocity results because what you are doing is a rule infraction.

  9. Smackdown

    6-9-05

Tazz: Welcome to Smackdown everyone. I’ve got great news. Instead of Cole, I’m sitting next to a legendary announcer. Joey Styles!

Styles: Well it’s great to be here in the WWE, Tazz. I hope I’m not too rusty, though.

Tazz: Oh, I’m sure a great announcer like you will get right back in the swing of things. Besides, you can’t be worse than the last guy.

Styles: Well, the world champ, John Cena, is in the ring right now. Let’s see what he’s got to say.

Cena: Yo, Yo, listen up everybody.

“So JBL and Jordan have a match against me

and I pick my own partner, who could it be?

So I get on the phone with this guy that I know

    Now welcome my partner...Rhyno!”

Tazz: Whoa! That’s a huge surprise. Especially, since he’s a member of RAW.

Rhyno sprints down to the ring and he and Cena have a short embrace before Rhyno gets a mic.

Rhyno: It’s great to be in front of a Smackdown crowd again.

    Crowd cheers

Rhyno: Many of you may be wondering why I’m on Smackdown. Well, it’s simple, I was getting any title shots on RAW. So when I saw the chance at a US title shot I knew what I had to do.

Cena: Well, whatever your reasoning was, I’m glad you accepted my offer and it’s great to see you back on Smackdown.

Rhyno: I’m glad to be back and...

“National Anthem” hits and the GM, Vinnie Quick, comes out to the Titan Tron.

Vinnie: Rhyno, it’s good to have a talent like you on Smackdown but this is turning into a Lifetime moment way too fast so how about you two head to the gym for your match so I can get this show started.

The two get out of the ring and head up the ramp.

Vinnie: OK, now let’s get the teams for the opening match out here.

Vinnie, Cena, and Rhyno head to the back as Akio + Kidman and Haas + Hardcore Holly go out to the ring.

Akio and Kidman vs. Haas and Holly

Akio and Kidman get an early advantage using their speed and soon are able to isolate Holly from making the tag. Holly was able to turn the tables with a double clothesline and then made the hot tag to Haas. The match soon turned into a tornado tag match with all four men in the ring at once. The end for Akio and Kidman came when Haas locked the Haas of Pain in on Akio and Holly hit the Alabama Slam on Kidman. After a brief struggle, Akio tapped out to give Haas and Holly the victory.

    Winners: Haas and Holly

The camera cuts to the backstage where Josh Matthews is with JBL and Orlando Jordan.

Matthews: John Cena just announced that his partner tonight will be Rhyno. What are your thoughts on that?

JBL: John Cena can have anyone on Smackdown, on RAW, ANYONE. It doesn’t matter. Because, I am the greatest wrestler in the world today. And Orlando here---Orlando! What’s wrong with you?

Jordan: You got me in a match where you have everything to win and I have everything to lose. I...

JBL: Hey! Hey! Don’t worry about it. I’ve got everything worked out.

    JBL turns back to Matthews.

    JBL: This interview is over.

The two walk away with JBL still trying to convince Orlando. The camera then cuts to the ring where Booker T’s talk show set is up.

Booker T: Welcome to the first edition of Sucka Free!

    Crowd cheers.

Booker: And the first guest ever on Sucka Free, kinda contradicts the name of the show. But nonetheless, please welcome, Kurt Angle!

Kurt Angle walks out to the ring and grabs a mic.

Angle: Don’t even try to interview me because that’s not what I’m out here for. Big Show. Get out here right now!

Booker: Hey, the Big Show isn’t even here tonight. So instead of talking to your imaginary friends backstage, how about you show me some respect?

Angle: Respect? What makes you deserve the respect of an Olympic gold medalist?

The two men go nose-to-nose trading insults until “National Anthem” hits and the GM walks out.

Vinnie: Alright, rather than tear apart this new and expensive set, let’s go to a commercial so we can clean up the ring and then have an official match.

After the commercial break, Smackdown comes back with the match already in process.

    Kurt Angle vs. Booker T

Kurt Angle gets Booker down and puts him in a grounded headlock which Booker easily reverses into a abdominal stretch. Angle is able to break out of the hold with a hip toss and quickly goes back on the offensive with a series of suplexes. He attempts an Olympic Slam to cap it off but Booker wiggles out of it and hits a Mafia kick for a two count. Booker tries to pick Angle up to his feet but Angle picks the ankle and is about to lock in the ankle lock when the Big Show’s music hits. Angle lets go of the hold and turns his attention to the Titan Tron but Big Show never appears and when his music stops, Angle turns back around. Booker hits a Book End on the distraught Angle for a three count and the win.

    Winner: Booker T

Next up was the #1 contenders match for the tag titles which would include The Dudley’s.

The Dudley’s vs. ??? (#1 contenders match for tag titles)

The Basham’s music hits and they make their way to the ring. But just as the two teams were about to lock up “National Anthem” hits.

Vinnie: When I booked this match I knew that I’d have to include the best teams in the world. Even if they weren’t in the WWE.

With that some unfamiliar music hits and Lenny and Lodi make there way to the ring. When they get in the ring the three teams get ready to start the match until some more familiar music hits and Kevin Nash and Scott Hall walk out. Finally, the match starts. The Basham’s dominate early on until Lenny hits a double cross-body on the Basham’s. From there it’s a chaotic match highlighted by another diving move by Lenny. This one was a suicide dive to the outside on all six of his opponents. The end came when The Dudley’s hit a 3D on Danny Basham with the other five men on the outside fighting or incapacitated.

    Winners: The Dudley Boys

Next was the ladder match between RVD and Eddie Guerrero for the European title.

RVD vs. Eddie Guerrero (ladder match for European title)

Before the match started the action was underway. As RVD was waiting in the ring for Guerrero, Eddie walked down the ramp and then started arguing with a fan. Suddenly, RVD vaulted over the top rope, somersaulting into the ladder on the outside, sending the ladder into Guerrero. From there the match is a fast-paced spotfest. Most notably, a 5-star Frogsplash by Guerrero on RVD with Van Dam laid across the ladder, with the ladder set up with one end held up by the ring apron and the other by the ring barricade. Also, later in the match, Van Dam hit his own 5-star from the top of the ladder to the outside where Guerrero was laying on a table. RVD won with a Van Daminater with the chair that knocked Guerrero from the ring and a quick scamper up the ladder before Guerrero could get back into the ring.

    Winner: Rob Van Dam

The main event between Cena + Rhyno and JBL + Orlando Jordan was next. The stipulation was that a Cena/Rhyno win gives Rhyno a US title shot, while a JBL/Jordan win gives JBL a world title shot.

Cena and Rhyno vs. JBL and Orlando Jordan (Double title shot tag match)

Cena and Rhyno had control in the match until The Cabinet began cheating and momentum soon shifted. Jordan hit a superkick on Cena that looked like it’d end the match but Cena somehow kicked out at two. After both men made a tag, JBL gained a quick advantage and attempted a Clothesline from Hell but Rhyno reversed it into a Gore which would have been a sure three count had The Bashams not come down and pulled the ref out of the ring. Cena then jumped to the outside and hit an F-U on both Bashams and Jordan before JBL dimmed Rhyno and Cena’s lights with the title belt. JBL then revived the ref and pinned Rhyno but Rhyno somehow kicked out at two. Then, Cena got back in the ring and took JBL into the crowd as they brawled toward the backstage. Back in the ring, The Bashams slid Jordan his title and Orlando tried to waffle Rhyno with it but Rhyno hit a Gore for the three count and the win.

    Winners: Rhyno and John Cena

Joey Styles: So it’s official. Next week, Rhyno vs. Orlando Jordan for the US title.

Tazz: Yeah, and if we see Rhyno pin Jordan next week like we did this week, we’ll have a new champ.

Styles: Not just that match, but also the Dudley’s vs. MNM for the tag titles.

Smackdown goes off air with Rhyno holding Orlando Jordan’s US title.

    OOC Notes:

    1. Like Heidenreich's poem, Cena's rap sucked. I don't think I'll change his gimmick though. I'll just not have him talk much.

    2. The opening match was just to show that neither of those teams would be in the #1 contender's match.

    3. I made the signings of The Outsiders and Lenny and Lodi to bulk up my tag division. Don't be surpised if I make some more changes (Y) .

  10. Smackdown Preview

    6-9-05

With three matches already signed for Smackdown. And all of which having to do with a Smackdown title, the anticipation for Thursday has never been higher.

We'll see The Dudley's in a #1 contenders match for the tag titles.

A ladder match for the European title between Eddie Guerrero and RVD.

And a double title shot tag match between JBL + Orlando Jordan against John Cena and a partner of his choosing. If JBL wins, he gets another shot at the World title. However, if Cena and his partner win, his partner gets a shot at the US title.

Also, the debut of Smackdown's new talk show, Sucka Free, hosted by Booker T will be on this week's Smackdown. And who better than Kurt Angle as his first guest?

All this and more on Smackdown!

  11. OOC: I don't think Bischoff was fired but yes, these are real firings. I guess you make a good point but I wanted to explain where they went rather than just not having them show up like the WWE does WAY too much. Long didn't appear or most of the women. Guys have made their last appearance just to get fired before. I think Raven's last run with the WWE ended with an on-screen firing. Anyway, hope this clears everything up :) .

WWE signs announcer Joey Styles / call up Kazarian

Yesterday, the WWE announced the signing of Joey Styles. Styles is considered by many to be the best announcer in the industry. It's not clear what show(s) Styles will be announcing but his signing may be the first of many big moves for the WWE.

Along with the signing of Styles, the WWE also called up former TNA X champion, Frankie Kazarian, from OVW. The WWE would not say what show he'll go to but it's assumed that he'll go to Smackdown to compete for the Cruiserweight title.

Velocity goes off air as Nunzio stands in the ring motionless.

  13. Smackdown

    6-2-05

Smackdown kicks off with the familiar sound of Vince McMahon’s theme music as he does his trademark strut to the ring.

Vince: As many of you know, I announced a draft lottery a few weeks ago. Well, it appears that announcement was somewhat premature. I, and the rest of the WWE board, have decided to not hold a draft lottery. However, I said that this company needs to be shaken up, and I still believe that. So, bearing that in mind, I would like to announce the firing of Theodore Long and the hiring of your new GM...Vinnie Quick!

The crowd shows almost no reaction as “National Anthem” by Radiohead is played throughout the arena. After a short wait, a man wearing blue jeans and a red, unbuttoned shirt over a white undershirt appears at the top of the ramp. He makes his way to the ring with his uncombed, blonde hair covering his face. Finally, after entering the ring, he jerks his neck to the side to reveal his face.

Vince: Glad you got so dressed up for your first show.

Scattered laughter can be heard in the crowd as the man gets a microphone from a member of the ring crew.

Vinnie: Thanks for the introduction Vince but I only need one thing from you before I go this alone. I want to re-activate the European title.

    The crowd cheers.

Vince: Sure, just give me a week to find it and then it’s all yours.

Vinnie: Great. That’s all I needed to hear. Now, with all due respect, get out of my ring.

The crowd cheers again as Vince gives Vinnie a cold stare but Vince eventually does as he’s told.

Vinnie: Now that that’s out of the way, I just want to promise all of you that Smackdown is going to get a lot more exciting with me at the helm. There will be some big changes to be made tonight. And just to give you all a small preview of what you’ll be seeing here on Smackdown from now on. Paul London! Shannon Moore! Get out here! We’re having a cruiserweight championship match, RIGHT NOW!

Paul London vs. Shannon Moore (Cruiserweight title)

Shannon Moore starts his offensive attack as soon as the match starts with some forearms to London’s back as London’s getting into the ring. London ducks back out of the ring to slow things down but Moore follows him and starts using the barricade as a weapon by irish whipping London into it several times before taking the match back into the ring. Moore hits a couple of running spinning heel kicks off the ropes before London reverses a third with a back flip dropkick for a two count. London tries to get Moore back to his feet but Moore reverses with a scoop slam and quickly heads to the top rope. As London gets to his feet, Moore takes flight but London hits a huge dropkick for a long two and a half count. After landing a pair of stomps to Moore, London heads to the top and goes for the 450 but his met with Shannon Moore’s knees. As London’s writhing in pain, Moore heads up top again and this time connects with a Halo for the three count to become the new Cruiserweight champ.

    Winner: Shannon Moore

The camera changes to the backstage where it shows the new GM in his office. The Dudley’s walk in to a huge pop from the crowd.

Bubba: Listen. We haven’t had a shot at the titles in months because Teddy Long was being a racist towards my brother here. So, since you’re the new guy, we were hoping you could give us a shot.

Vinnie: Well, I’d really love to, but not only haven’t you had a shot at the titles in months but you also haven’t had a match in months. So you guys have to earn a shot. That’s why next week we’ll have a #1 contender’s match.

Bubba: Alright, thanks for the chance boss.

The camera changes to Josh Matthews interviewing Eddie Guerrero.

Josh: Eddie, you have to face RVD in his return match tonight. What are your thoughts on the match?

Eddie: My thoughts homes? My thoughts are that this isn’t RVD’s return match. This is his last match. Because, I’m going to end his career tonight. This is both his first match off the injured reserve and his last.

Eddie walks away as the camera goes back to the ring where Heidenreich is sitting in a steel chair in the middle of the ring.

Heidenreich: Ladies and gentlemen. For my match against Rey Mysterio, I felt a great inspiration. So I wrote this poem.

    ~A poem by Heidenreich~

    The Amazing Red is red

    The Blue Meanie is blue

    Rey Mysterio wears a mask

    So I will, too

With that Heidenreich pulls a mask from under the chair he was sitting in and starts to put it on but while before he gets it on Mysterio comes through the crowd and attacks Heidenreich from behind.

    Heidenreich vs. Mysterio

Mysterio hits a dropkick to Heidenreich’s back, sending him face first into the turnbuckle. Mysterio hits another dropkick to the back of Heidenreich, slamming his face into the turnbuckle. Heidenreich stumbles into a rolll-up for a long 2 count. Mysterio bounces off the ropes and attempts to hit a running hurricarana but Heidenreich reverses it with a huge sit-down powerbomb for a very long 2 count. Heidenreich then picks Mysterio up and hits a whiplash powerbomb for the three count and the win.

    Winner: Heidenreich

Next up was the bra and panties match between Torrie Wilson and Jackie Gayda that Theodore Long had signed before he was fired.

Torrie Wilson vs. Jackie Gayda (Bra and Panties match)The two fight for less than a minute before Torrie gets Jackie down and his just about to get Jackie’s shirt off before “National Anthem” comes over the Titan Tron again.

Vinnie: What kind of crap is this? This is the most boring wrestling I’ve ever seen. Both of you are fired. In fact, every women that works for Smackdown is fired.

Vince McMahon’s music hits the Titan Tron and the WWE chairman walks out.

Vinnie: I know what you’re going to say but I’m sticking by this decision. If we get sued then I’ll pay for everything.

Vince: No, no. That’s completely fine. I hate women’s wrestling too. It’s just. Well, my daughter Stephanie works for Smackdown. And it’s not that I want her to stay here. It’s just...she tends to get somewhat vengeful.

Vinnie: OK, every woman that works for Smackdown except for Stephanie McMahon is fired. And just so you, the fans, don’t feel short-changed I’m booking Big Show vs. Kurt Angle for...right now.

    Big Show vs. Kurt Angle

Angle starts off the match with a flurry of punches and chops which seem to barely affect the Big Show. Show pushes Angle away and Angle does a complete backwards somersault. Angle springs back up and hits a clothesline which makes Show stumble but not fall. Angle gets a running start off the rope but Show hits a big boot for a 2 count. Show goes for a leg drop but Angle rolls out of the way. Angle hits a dropkick to Show before he gets up for a 2 count. Angle gets Show up and attempts an Angle Slam but Show wiggles out of it and drops Angle with a scoop slam. Show bounces off the ropes and hits a huge Splash for a long 2 count. Show tries to pick Angle up but Angle picks the ankle and locks in the ankle lock. The Big Show struggles for a few seconds before getting to the ropes. Angle keeps the pressure on with some stomps and forearms to Show’s back but the Big Show gets to his feet and hits a huge uppercut that knocks Angle down. Show signals for a chokeslam and gets in position. As Angle gets up Show grabs him around the neck but Angle gets out of it and picks the ankle again. This time, Show’s able to power out of the ankle lock with his legs. Angle charges at Show but Show catches him around the throat and drops him with a chokeslam for the win.

    Winner: Big Show

Next up was the Eddie Guerrero vs. Rob Van Dam match. Which was the other match that Theodore Long booked before he was fired.

Eddie Guerrero vs. Rob Van Dam

The two had just gotten to the ring before “National Anthem” by Radiohead hits.

Vinnie: I’m looking forward to this match as much as all of you but I got this great idea. Why not make it for the European title? Then I got another idea, and this is why we have to hold this match next week, why not make it a ladder match?

The crowd cheers despite the fact they won’t get to see the match live.

Vinnie: So it’s official. Now please get out of my ring guys.

Suddenly, JBL’s music hits and he and Orlando Jordan walk out.

JBL: I like you Vinnie. And that’s why I think you’re the perfect guy to give me a World title shot.

Vinnie: Fine. But, like I told the Dudley’s, you have to earn it. So next week, we’ll have a double title shot tag match. You and your sex slave or whatever you call him against John Cena and a partner of his choosing. If you two win, you get a shot at the title. But if Cena and his partner win, his partner gets a shot at that US title.

    JBL: Fine! It’s on!

JBL storms out with Orlando Jordan looking on in disbelief at what JBL had just gotten him into. The camera zooms in on Jordan’s suprised face as Smackdown goes off air.

    OCC Notes on the show:

    1. I’m gonna have to change Heidenreich’s gimmick. That poem sucked and it took me forever to come up with that.

    2. I realize that it’s contradictory to say The Dudley’s and JBL have to earn their title shots while I gave Moore, Guerrero, and RVD shots right away but it was to show Vinnie’s “leap before you look” style.

    3. The Big Show/Angle match has nothing to do with storyline. It was to keep Vinnie a face after ending that Bra and Panties match early.

I'm thinking to keep this diary moving quickly, I'll just use EWR's results for Velocity. So that should be up later today. Feedback on the show and on how I should write Velocity's results are welcome.
